It is attached to the main house so you can rent one or both depending on the size of your group. The owners were great about answering my voicemails and emails. There is a very small bedroom with a double or queen sized bed. The pillows and mattress weren't the best, but that might be my one single complaint. The living room has a nice TV, a DVD player and a bunch of DVDs, a cute little electric fireplace and a ton of comfy blankets. It was great to curl up on the couch with wine and a movie after a long, cold, wet day of hiking in Olympic National Park. The kitchen is updated and fully stocked, even had spices and such. There's a small dining area where we ate breakfast every morning. The price is great and way below any of the waterfront "resorts" I also found online. We ended up driving past some of the other places I considered and they looked like dumps. Our house was adorable and actually probably the nicest house in town, from what we witnessed. The location is unbeatable for trips into the Rainforest and Olympic National Park. Port Angeles is a quick 45-60 minute drive if you need a "city." The drive from Seattle airport to Forks is beautiful and was definitely a great part of our trip. A note on Forks, WA: This place is weird. Of course I'm aware of the Twilight phenomenon and the role Forks plays. There is NOTHING here. There are a couple of poor to mediocre restaurants. A main street with some everyday shops, hardware stores, and bizarre Twilight themed shops. We didn't spend any time in the town except for a couple dinners. We found Pacific Pizza to be the least disappointing. We would totally stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends.

It was also our first bnb experience, and they shot it out of the park! After a long day of exploring, we were met with a home that was warm, filled with all the details you could imagine, & kind hosts. 10/10 would recommend!! And an amazing breakfast to boot! My only note is that it looks like they don't change the sheets or have the room tidied up for you after you check in. If one is staying longer, a room refresh would be nice :)

The Inn was spotless, well-managed, and truly a notch above places we've stayed in the past. Breakfasts were outstanding and served with genuine care and attention--on real china, no less! It made mornings feel extra special, and I'm still thinking about those amazing muffins. We felt truly appreciated and welcomed throughout our stay. The thoughtful touches didn't stop there: Dessert bar each evening, 24-hour access to coffee, tea, cider, hot cocoa, ice, and ice water made us feel right at home. While the rooms weren't huge, they were very comfortable, (and well equipped with anything we could need) and the well-designed common spaces more than made up for it. We especially loved enjoying dinner on the deck each evening--it was the perfect spot to relax and make memories. High praise to the owners for creating such a warm, well-run retreat. We'll absolutely return if the opportunity arises. Kudos and bravo! I wholeheartedly recommend the Misty Valley Inn!

It's true that this is one building on a property, but the way its oriented and the direction the living room/kitchen windows face, you feel like you are in the woods. The property trails are lovely appetizers for trails nearby. Down the service road, you can really get a taste of the river the property is on. The place is delightfully situated just outside of Forks, and near Kalaloch and the Hoh Rainforest. I just love this place and the hosts are great. On our third visit, the power went out. We left as quickly as we could find another location, but spent two very uncomfortable nights. The shear bedroom curtains facing the owner's driveway made it impossible to even change clothes except in the bathroom area. The interior of the cabin is exactly as photographed and is clean and the bedding comfortable. The location is not as advertised and is not on the river. If it is a remote location, privacy, and fishing you are looking for, this is not the location. If you want a clean place with comfortable bedding and don't mind the lack of privacy, then you may like this spot.

We particularly enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and eating dinner in the upstairs suite. The upstairs suite is HUGE and could fit a whole family all on its own. It doesn't come with breakfast though, so be forewarned! I stayed in the nautical room with a half bath and two twin beds. It was perfect for me and I slept well. I was a bit jealous of my co-worker in the quilt room because he had a jacuzzi! Unfortunately, the hostess Sandy was called away for an emergency, so we never got to meet her. She had a friend step in to help check us in and make us breakfast. She did a great job, especially on short notice. I actually would love to go back in the summer with my own family to explore the area and enjoy Sandy's hospitality all over again. The town itself was pretty much closed down since we visited in December. I bet it is more happening in the summer. Bring your own lunch and dinner foods or else your options will be limited to gas station food in the winter.

She is tactful, flexible, intelligent and has a great sense of humor. The House is spotless and has nice and cozy decor. The view from the patio, where (weather permitting) Sandy serves her homemade from scratch breakfasts is nothing short of spectacular. You can eat your French Toast prepared by Sandy on the patio facing the Clallam River lazily flow into the Strait of Juan de Fuca or and watch the Bold Eagle being picked on by couple of crows. In the background you can see Vancouver mountains and fishing vessels and big cargo ships as well. Overall my experience was such as I was visiting an aunt for the summer. I will definitely be going back.

The beds were extremely comfortable, ours slept 5!! which is wild for the price. Two in the loft in twin beds and a twin bed and a queen bed below. The bathroom was immaculate! In fact, the entire cabin was immaculate. There was a Kurig coffeemaker, a mini fridge and a microwave. There were two other Cabins facing the water #1 & #2 I believe, one has a small kitchen in it and the other a kitchenette (I think). They are only slightly more expensive and worth more than what they are charging. There is also a rooftop deck facing the water that any guests can use, which was lovely, especially since we were not in an ocean view cabin. I can't believe how affordable these places were!!! The host was incredibly nice and hospitable, as well. I would absolutely stay here again. My only tiny constructive critique would be for them to add shampoo AND conditioner rather than the one tiny bottle of two in one. I'm sure we could have requested more, but we didn't notice till the morning super early before anyone was awake so we couldn't all take showers. Bring your own or request shampoo/conditioner if you have more than one person staying over.

We were then given the space next to the one we had booked and paid for. We had to share the electrical, water, and sewer connections with the motor home that was in our original site. This was very inconvenient since we had to "schedule" our sewer dumps, had low water pressure, had our electricity turned off while we were away site seeing (it could have been that the breaker blow with double power plugged in). We also compared notes with the couple who occupied our original site and were told by them that their site was given to someone else so they were given our site. This did not set well with us because it meant that the manager of the park had lied to us about why our site was not available to us. To make matters worse we had to stretch our two electrical cords to reach the plugin since it was so far away from our trailer. This resulted in our cord coming apart which required me to spend $100 to replace it. Their lying to us and making no effort to reimburse us partially for paying for a full hook up site that we did not get to occupy are the reasons that I will never book with this campground again. Honesty and an effort to make things right would have gone a long ways to giving them a higher rating.
