We were then given the space next to the one we had booked and paid for. We had to share the electrical, water, and sewer connections with the motor home that was in our original site. This was very inconvenient since we had to "schedule" our sewer dumps, had low water pressure, had our electricity turned off while we were away site seeing (it could have been that the breaker blow with double power plugged in). We also compared notes with the couple who occupied our original site and were told by them that their site was given to someone else so they were given our site. This did not set well with us because it meant that the manager of the park had lied to us about why our site was not available to us. To make matters worse we had to stretch our two electrical cords to reach the plugin since it was so far away from our trailer. This resulted in our cord coming apart which required me to spend $100 to replace it. Their lying to us and making no effort to reimburse us partially for paying for a full hook up site that we did not get to occupy are the reasons that I will never book with this campground again. Honesty and an effort to make things right would have gone a long ways to giving them a higher rating.

It's true that this is one building on a property, but the way its oriented and the direction the living room/kitchen windows face, you feel like you are in the woods. The property trails are lovely appetizers for trails nearby. Down the service road, you can really get a taste of the river the property is on. The place is delightfully situated just outside of Forks, and near Kalaloch and the Hoh Rainforest. I just love this place and the hosts are great. On our third visit, the power went out. Our hosts were away, but came from Port Angeles to make sure we had what we needed and gave us access to their house to use the wood stove and keep warm.

We left as quickly as we could find another location, but spent two very uncomfortable nights. The shear bedroom curtains facing the owner's driveway made it impossible to even change clothes except in the bathroom area. The interior of the cabin is exactly as photographed and is clean and the bedding comfortable. The location is not as advertised and is not on the river. If it is a remote location, privacy, and fishing you are looking for, this is not the location. If you want a clean place with comfortable bedding and don't mind the lack of privacy, then you may like this spot.

They are riverfront on the Sol Duc and you can enjoy the view from anywhere on the property. Plenty of room and space for any activity. Reading a book by the fireplace, playing games at the dinner tables or enjoying the outdoor fire pit. They have great mud rooms as we were up there fishing. This way we could dry out day to day. These two rentals are maybe 5 miles from Forks. Far enough to feel like your way out but close enough to run into town for anything you need. I will definitely be back up at the Cozy River House the next time I am up on the Olympic Peninsula. It's a great find!

Glamping is just glamorous camping. To that person who rated this place as a 1? I am not sure what they saw, but this place (and certainly the staff) should get a full 5+ stars!! The tent -- we had an awesome tent with all the cooking supplies/utensils needed for our dinner. The tent itself was spacious and the well placed outhouses were nicer than any rest areas I have ever been to. The showers were hot and smelled of cedar -- exactly what was needed after our 4 days in the back country. Jerry and Ronnie were the best! We hung out at Ronnie's shack, and enjoyed the conversation and libations. After hearing off all the work Ronnie put in crafting the trails, we took a stroll and added a few more steps to put already weary legs. And it was worth it, earning the name of this resort. The craftsmanship and attention to detail makes this place unique. I would absolutely come back, and would be happy to bring the kids!

On the other hand, I have stayed in a variety of cabins around the country, and this was by far the most expensive per square foot AND the least updated, although they did stock the kitchen with every utensil and tool you will need. We stayed in 108 at the end. I would definitely advise to the manager or owners of the property to add a little list of where all supply stock is located for your guests. When we arrived, the toilet paper AND paper towels were nearly out. We searched in obvious places under the sink and cabinet drawers to find more toilet paper, to find it later in a small hideaway above the washer and dryer. Games and puzzles are located in the kitchen drawers to the left of the sink. Emergency items such as flashlights, candles are located in that same area in the kitchen. If an extra blanket is needed, I wouldn't know where to find one. Otherwise, I great place to come.
