Wow. This is the order of fries. Nearly raw, literally wet. And the tiniest order (which is actually okay because these are inedible). The menu change isn't a hit. Bring back the old Dan Dan noodles!

Moshi Moshi is a real find! This gem is in the Stadium District of Tacoma on Tacoma Avenue just south of Division/6th Avenue Lane, Sam, Beck and Alice were on staff today. This is definitely the place for healthy and vegetarian option meals. Dad had the Fried Rice and Leise had the Yakisoba - absolutely delicious!!

Clockwise: Tonkotsu ramen, parseltongue cocktail, takoyaki, golden curry, loaded kimchi fries

Probably my favorite ramen spot in Tacoma! Street parking is sometimes hard to come by but it's ok since you'll need the extra steps to walk off the deliciousness. Most recently I came for their happy hour, which includes a bunch of appetizers and even a variety of fancy cocktails (and also regular well drinks)! I am always so impressed with quality of their food. - Szechuan chili dumplings are actually quite spicy like 4/5 spicy! - Gochujang brussels sprouts were more like ordinary brussels with a hint of gochujang flavor. - I was pleasantly surprised by the sesame shrimp toast - so delicious and crispy and perfect portion of shrimp-toast ratio. - Mezcal manhattan is exquisite and tbh belongs in a cozy speakeasy. I will drink as many of these as safely possible (which is probably only 2). Service is friendly, food comes out quick, and our waters were mostly full (they were a little slow on that). LGBTQi+ friendly, BLM friendly! I will be back.

This is the kind of place that is why I moved to the city, the setting was hip and urban, it felt very alive. The seaweed salad was wonderful, the little cheese and salmon balls were fantastic dipped in chili sauce. The Ramen tho, wow! My tonkatsu was to die for, the egg was perfect, and the pork literally melted in your mouth. Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful, having been our first time walked us through the menu, I love when wait staff is willing to answer all my dumb questions. This will be a place I come back to frequently.

Came for a first date! It was a fun place. Appealing to be in! Fun and fast service that checked in regularly to make sure we were happy. Food was way better than the ramen I have at home. It had a delicious rich broth and obviously homemade noodles that were wonderful. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to coming back.

Wow!!! We got an assortment of small plates and they did not disappoint!! Came during their happy hour and got 25% off. Our waitress Lane, was super nice and had a bubbly personality. Parking can be a challenge so I would go earlier in the day.

Cute Japanese restaurant. The seating in my opinion seems too close for comfort. We were seated near the entrance and I felt crowded in. We sat at a table where I didn't feel I could sit across from my family because if I did, I'd feel like I was in the way of the walk way. Anyways, about the food I really liked the Pork Belly Bao and my fried tofu. My family also liked their food. We also ordered desserts. We ordered some Mochi (we ordered four different flavors) and chocolate moose. They tasted good. Nothing to really rave about. The bar though was awesome, lots of drink choices. The service was nice, our server was super friendly which made our experience even better. When the food and service is good the experience is a lot better. Kudos to our server.

Another place knocked off the date night list! My boyfriend has been here in the past and really liked the chicken katsu curry, but apparently they've done away with it. :( He got another curry which smelled delicious and he seemed to enjoy! I got the Kotteri Tonkotsu because I can't go to a ramen spot and NOT get ramen. The noodles were great, and the pork was delicious too. The broth was okay. It was good, but I've definitely had better at quite a few other spots. I also wish it had come a little hotter! We got the spam musubi as well for our appetizer and it wasn't bad. Another "I've had better" situation. I think the best part of Moshi Moshi is the atmosphere and service! The staff is super friendly and very on top of it. We came in on a Friday evening and were in and out in about an hour. Moshi Moshi is decorated really cute and has the perfect dim lighting for date night. Full bar, too! Note that it is a little tough to find... It's attached to the Indo Street Eatery (owned by the same person, I'm assuming, as some of the staff was wearing their shirts). Look for that sign and Moshi Moshi is the unmarked door next to it!

Moshi Ramen bar was such a vibe! The food was delicious, and the servers were sweet and well educated on the menu. The dumplings were SO GOOD. My bf got the green curry ramen which was unique and full of flavor. The spicy garlic miso ramen was also a 10/10. Happy hour specials are awesome too!

What I love about Moshi Moshi is how the menu is somehow both small, but has great variety. This became the fams weeknight spot because there is something for everyone regardless of what you are craving. We were first drawn in by the ramen. They are all good, but I am a sucker for miso ramen and theirs does not disappoint. Even the coconut green curry ramen, which is more typical curry than ramen is great. I am used to spots that have good ramen not doing much else, but we branched out to try some other things off the menu. Dan dan noodles and brussel sprouts?? At a ramen place? Yes please and they were both good. Maybe you just need some fried chicken. They've got that too. Just order a little of everything along with some ramen and you will be happy you did!

The in-laws have been raving about this place, so we came here when it was convenient for them. The tables had black and white manga drawings on it, which was pretty neat. We ordered so much food! We got the shiyo ramen, tan tan ramen, spicy miso ramen, galbi, kimchi fries, spam musubi, spicy beef dumplings, takaouoko?, an IPA, and a few cocktails. We shared all the appetizers and my favorite were the dumplings. It had a nice flavor and good kick to it. I personally ordered the galbi and it came with kimchi, seaweed salad, some rice with furikake. The portion for this dish was pretty big, but unfortunately, the flavors weren't there and I thought that the meat was too fatty for me. I think that the drinks were great though. We had a few rounds and tried the Hero From the West, the Lavender-lime chuhai, and habanero margarita. Our server recommended that I get the Parseltongue, which had mezcal, coconut cream, lime, agave, cilantro and cucumber. It was very interesting and refreshing! I recommend coming here for their cocktails because the food was just alright to me.

This is the perfect place to eat at when it's cold outside. It's a ramen restaurant but there's so many different options! I highly recommend the karaage and the chili garlic green beans for appetizers. They were so good that we forgot we ordered entrees as well. For our entrees, I ordered the pork belly yakisoba and I would definitely order it again. They go heavy on the baby mayo but it's exactly what I wanted. If you love baby mayo then the yakisoba and the karaage would be perfect for you. My boyfriend ordered the kotteri tonkatsu and his bowl was clean when we left. Both were big portions and delicious. I highly recommend!

If I hate to scan a QR code for a menu and there aren't even pictures, what's the point? I don't need a fancy menu, but a printed menu is nicer. We got the Skillet Smashed Fingerlings/potatoes appetizer to start, very delicious! My dinner companion got the Classic Smash Burger. She said the burger was great, and she knew there were going to be caramelized onions, but there was a lot packed in the middle of the patty. The novelty wore off quickly. She still said it was good overall. I ordered the Scarlet Rosemary (chicken and homemade pasta), and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic, but the only problem was; there wasn't enough of it (sauce) and when the dish cooled as we ate, you couldn't taste the sauce much. About 7-10 minutes after getting our food, my friend took a bite of my pasta and said "I don't taste any flavor at all" and I realized I was mostly tasting the chicken at this point and I was sliding the pasta in the very small bit of sauce on the plate. The menu is accessed by QR codes on the table. They have an *extremely* long list of cocktails, all named appropriately with the theming, but somewhat lacking in variety. Most of the cocktails are some combination of rum, spices, lime/lemon, and maybe something else fruity or sweet. My wife had a Ships from Far Shores while I enjoyed an Astro Orbiter. Their menu has an indicator of how strong each drink is, and it doesn't lie. The Astro Orbiter tasted great but was indeed quite strong. The staff were extremely polite and a pleasure to talk to. That felt excessive, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy when we first arrived. There was a bridal shower happening, which is totally understandable and of course events can impact service. However, at the time we were seated, it wasn't crowded at all. The service was also disappointing. Our waitress rarely checked in, and we eventually had to go up to the bar ourselves to ask for napkins and water refill. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but for the prices and the wait times, I expected much better service and efficiency. When I arrived, there was no greeter or host present. I went to the empty seat, briefly set down my coat, and dropped off the birthday gift. When I returned to the seat moments later, a member of the wait staff approached me and said, "What do you think we are doing? We seat people here." I asked whether that was how customers are typically greeted. She then stated that I had "tons of privilege" and directed me to leave the bar, including while I was standing near the door waiting for my friends. I understand that businesses have seating policies, but in this instance there was no clear signage or staff guidance upon entry. The situation was handled in a way that escalated rather than clarified the issue and detracted from what was intended to be a birthday celebration. Added after response from owner: You are certainly free to report your side of the story. I was greeted by your staff with the line, "Who the hell are you!" I asked, "Do you greet all of your customers that way." She then berated me and told me that she does if they just walk in and skip the line. Like most bars, with no one present at the front I assumed bar seating was open. Upon greeting my friends I took the seat. In regards to threatening remarks, the only threat I made was that I would leave a review. I used no harsh language and proceeded to the front of the restaurant to wait for my friends who decided to cash out. Your staff member proceeded to continue to berate me and tell me I would be trespassed if I didn't leave the restaurant and stand in the rain. I did leave while she continued to scream at me. Since I did not have context for what you described a simple, "Hi, we seat at the bar here and this is someone else's seat" would have been a great way to greet me. Don't assume I had bad intent just because I was trying to patronize the establishment. I highly suggest you read your reviews and quit attacking your patrons. Based on what I have read you have a serious problem with staff behavior. You spend all of your time on here defending bad practices instead of improving your service. I am happy to say that I will never patronize your business. In addition you lost 14 other customers due to your actions. I was told I must have privilege just to walk in to meet my friends at a bar. You have a clear over inflated sense of self worth to assume your bar is so great that treating customers this way will keep you in business. Best of luck, and you are correct, a place where staff greet you by yelling at you is not a great fit for me. It likely isn't for others as well.
