It was so delicious and beautiful at the same time! We will definitely be returning again! Yummm

Not bad for a delicious and good sized shrimp lunch.
Harlan Z.

First, the good. The food is delicious and, at lunchtime, reasonably priced. I enjoyed many large shrimp sautéed with green and red peppers, onions, and garlic, served with Spanish rice, refried beans, and a small mixed salad with ranch for a total of $16.49 before tip. The other entrees on the lunch menu, all priced the same, looked equally tasty. The not so good: not enough staff. Eight tables with 2-4 people at each but only one waitperson on duty. She did fine, but this did mean a slightly delayed food delivery and only one "how you doing?" check in. (Not her fault, so I still tipped well.) The real turn-off: the music, which blared from the speakers and, in the nearly empty restaurant, echoed off the walls. I'm glad I was dining alone, as conversation would have been impossible. Had I spotted the volume knob, I'd have turned it down myself and avoided the minor headache it gave me by the time I departed. All in all, a decent experience but, if I come back and hear the boom boom boom of the music when I walk in the door, I'm turning around and walking out again.

I enjoyed the food here but man was it LOUD. They do claim to have a "party like" atmosphere. The music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation and I left with a headache. I did like the food though. The margarita was pretty big and they had a bunch of different flavors. I had the carne asada with shrimp. It was a big portion and really tasty.

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

I've been to Sidepony, the Mule's sister bar, which I absolutely love, so I've been dying to get in here! We finally got the chance before a Rainiers game recently and had a great experience. It's definitely bigger than I expected but the vibe is awesome. Like Sidepony, the decor is super eclectic and fun. There's a photobooth as well which is a fun touch. The back patio space is also really cool - it's also dark as it's covered, so I imagine it gets pretty warm back there in the hotter summer days. They don't have a giant food menu but they have a few sandwiches to choose from. We both got their grilled cheese which you can never go wrong with. Another notable part of our visit was the bartender - he was so nice! Extremely personable and handled holding down the entire bar by himself, including the cooking. Definitely will be added into our dive rotation. Can't wait to come back!

Cocktail hour, dinner: Great mix of "normal," expected wedding style background music with some unexpectedly brilliant gems mixed in. (Perfect way to handle the awkwardly vague instructions we gave) But of course, where he really shined was when a bunch of the lame guests left right around when business was over and it was time for dancing to get going, which left us worried that the party was going to die down early. No such thing! He was able to read the room every minute of the night and keep the core group going strong. Didn't get many direct photos of him necessarily, but I included the one just for context on what a small group he had to work with at one point. It ended up making no difference, as he kept us going for what felt like all night - even though, he did in fact follow instructions to the letter and not break any rules about when amplified sound was required by the city to stop (and it was timed perfectly so it really felt like ending on a high note, not just suddenly stopping). Guests very much appreciated being able to easily request songs. Oh, and bonus shout out, during speech time earlier, he expertly handled the fact that I forgot how sound worked when I chose to stand right in front of a speaker while talking into a microphone. He must have seen it coming because he was on top of those knobs and didn't let the feedback go crazy like it should have (according to video evidence I saw later of how close I was). I don't plan on hosting another wedding anytime soon, but for anything else he'll be my first choice.

We were out celebrating my buddy's birthday today, and started out next door for some smokes and drinks. I had a plan for some choices for his bday dinner, and he opted with Ms. Jane's inside BJ's Casino. First off... this place is very elegant with a fine dining experience. Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. My first time ever having this, but seen how it was made on a video. Simply divine. My wife ordered the Braised Bison over Polenta, with some Carrots. This is the tastiest Bison we've ever had!! We finished the evening with a Dubai Chocolate Fudge Sunday, and Cassandra gave us each a spoon to share in this decadence. Needless to say, my buddy had an incredible day of celebration! Thank you for this wonderful experience! As always, Enjoy & Happy Birthday, Wazowski!

Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.

Bartenders are always nice and food always comes quick. We started off by sitting in one of the larger booths and kicked our visit off with some drinks and an app. They have a great local selection of beers and tasty sounding cocktails. I tried a sip of my friend's spicy marg and it was TRULY spicy but it was absolutely delicious. For our app we tried the Corn Queso and it was super good! Definitely recommend. My husband and I split a couple of entrees to try something new as we always get the same stuff. This time we got the Holy Burrito with steak, and the Monster S'Mash Burger. The Holy Burrito is MASSSIVE. Easily able to share this and only this between 2 people. Stuffed with all the same usual goodness of a burrito, but topped with a luscious chorizo gravy, pico de gallo, and guac. Absolutely superb, can't recommend enough. The burger was also good but I wouldn't quite call it a smash. The fries are super crispy and yummy! After we wrapped up eating we went into the other half of the building where they have pinball machines, a pool table, and a photo booth. It's a fun spot to vibe and wrap up with another drink.
