I'm still fighting with Freedom Forever Solar and Mosaic/Solar Servicing/Concord Servicing because Freedom Forever and I discussed adding additional panels to my existing solar system. The project got cancelled, but Freedom Forever did not cancel the loan (which is fraud, accepting payment for work never done). For months, Mosaic wouldn't cancel the loan because they were in bankruptcy and my loan was an asset. And they sent out someone to put a lock on my existing solar system for nonpayment. So they put a lock on a solar system they had no authority over. I cut the lock off. I haven't taken them to court yet because as soon as I do, the courts will take a year and a half to resolve anything and I'm hopeful this will be resolved this month. Mosaic has now exited bankruptcy. Both companies agree that the loan should be cancelled, but they still haven't processed the cancellation. Apparently this happened enough that there is a month backlog in processing cancellations. How many bad loans did they have for it to take a month to process the cancellation? Meanwhile they keep contacting me to collect a loan I don't owe and they've wrecked my credit because I won't pay them. Do not do business with Freedom Forever or Mosaic/Solar Servicing. So, I'm having a very bad time, and any well wishes would be appreciated. read more

My buyer now has the benefit of the panels at the expense of a 70 year old widow on a fixed income due to Mosaic's turmoil. Called numerous times trying to resolve to no avail. I sent an email to support when they saw my post and still no help. This call center has no authority to resolve issues and claims they don't have a contact for corporate hq in Oakland, California where there the power lies to address issues. This company is a scam. I tried to get Solar with them with them and it's been nearly a year. With multiple issues and reaching a point where it seemed to be no progress, I decided to cancel. After Cancelling, Freedom Forever, , tried charging me $3500. Then, the financing company that they worked with, Mosaic, put a lien against me. They are saying I owe them $40,000+ and it's on my credit report. The credit bureau said they will not remove it. Mosaic being on my credit all year, without any solar panels on my roof has been one of the issues. I have informed them of these issues and given them time to rectify it but instead the situation just kept getting worse and worse. I only selected one star to get it logged! i've been going through this battle between mosaic solar lending and freedom forever since September 2024. I canceled my contract to get solar panels, which you would think would cancel the contract for the solar financing but that did not happen congruently. The financing loan has been placed on my credit and it increased my debt to income rate. I immediately contacted mosaic lending and was given the typical rhetoric of freedom forever needs to contact mosaic's cxl department and then that would take 45 days and then that'll take another 45 etc. they basically shifted blame back to one another! Then about July 2025, discovered mosaic was filing a bankruptcy. contacted them about the status of this loan being that I don't have solar panels nor do I have the $30,000 they were going to lend me said solar panels. I didn't get any information or feedback from mosaic. I work very closely with a customer service rep from freedom forever who has been very helpful to me, but we are not getting anywhere with Mosaic! I understand that there are terms and things that need to be done however this has been going on since September 2024. I am completely in awe as to why this loan has not been canceled or whatever it is they need to do and have it removed off of my credit report. I have even tried to dispute it with the credit bureau and that has been disallowed. I used mosaic out of Arizona Would not recommend them. Your first 16 or 18 mo you are paying interest only and nothing to principal I used them for a solar install thinking the contractor doesn't get paid until work is complete. Do NOT sign with Mosaic. When I started paying my loan, they indicated that all my payments had to go towards deferred interest. Then when I finished paying the deferred interest, they indicated that my new payments had to go towards the interest that accrued during the period that I was paying the deferred interest. So, I have been making payments for 16 months and have not made a single dent in the original loan amount. This company is a complete scam. They work with California Dream Remodeling to scam the elderly. My mother was scammed out of her savings over $100,000 and suckered into a $55,000 loan with this fraudulent loan operation. If the loan wasn't paid back in 5 years she would have to pay $95,000. When we called them yesterday they said her case was closed. This must be due to the elderly fiduciary abuse case we opened up with the county of Los Angeles as well as the complaint with the Consumer of Business Affairs. I was transferred to their fraud department that doesn't exist. This is an elaborate scheme to fraud the elderly community. BEWARE!! I was given a quote to pay the loan down in order to meet a "target balance" in writing via an email and two other times via two different reps on the phone. I paid the said amount to principal. A few days later they said it wasn't enough and basically because I paid ONE day too early they would have to keep a crazy amount of the money that was meant to go to principal to pay interest, thus not meeting my "target balance". Although everyone I have talked to is kind and respectful, I keep getting the run around by their supervisor Alex. All I ask is that the money Mosaic said that would be applied to principal actually be applied to principal. But they say it's impossible to do. I've called them six times about having my UCC temporarily removed, as US Bank has this as a stipulation for a home equity loan. Each time they were supposed to call me back, but never did. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and they were in a meeting...evidently for days! I finally got hold of a supervisor, explaining the situation, and they said they had to take it to senior management. Horrible customer service. They gave me the run around on how they don't do that anymore, but will do a subordination. The problem is lenders won't accept a subordination. Finally, they say there will do it, after six calls, but the time has run out. read more

The contractor offered financing through Mosaic, so I signed up for a home improvement loan. The contractor showed up at our home the day after we signed the loan agreement in October 2020, and knocked down the outside of our garage wall. The contractor did not return to my home to conduct any additional work until March 2021. I found out that Mosaic disbursed $16,500 directly to the contractor in January 2021. Mosaic partners with contractors/installers and sends funds directly to them. The borrower has absolutely no control over when and how the money is disbursed. None of this was explained to me when I signed up for the loan. I fired my contractor in April 2021 because too much time had gone by (over 5 months) and their work was not in compliance with my contract. Mosaic would not cancel the loan because funds had been disbursed, and they said the contractor had to approve the loan cancellation. I got my lawyer involved and was able to get the contractor to send written approval of the loan cancellation to Mosaic on 5/6/21. It is now 7/1/21, and Mosaic has not cancelled the loan. Instead, Mosaic is repeatedly sending me statements that I am behind on payments, and I even received a letter from a debt collector, Concord Loan Servicing, stating that my account is seriously past due. They are asking for them to reapply within 30 days or payoff the loan. Paying off will NOT work due to my sellers current circumstances. We are at the end of escrow and only need the solar to close. I have nothing but problems paying off my loan in full. First they incorrectly documented my account number. When I inquired as to why no funds had been withdrawn from my financial institution, I was treated as if I was in error. After listening to the recorded conversation, it was acknowledged that Mosaic had made the error. A week had passed and during this time interest was added to my balance that had been paid in full. I was so frustrated dealing with the added interest amount, that I offered to pay off the balance with a credit card. They will only take bank transfers. read more

My contractor applied for the wrong loan type and when trying to correct it mosaic sent emails to me telling me and my contractor how to change the loan type, we followed these instructions and they never responded. I was advised that my monthly payments would be set at a certain amount, including interest which was reasonable. I started making the payments and noticed my balance was not moving. I found out the reason was because the majority and sometimes ALL of my payment was being applied towards interest. I called and was advised that they charged a daily interest fee as well as the interest that I had already agreed too. I got lucky that they didn't start charging me until after my solar panels were turned on (many people weren't so lucky), but now that I'm paying the amount I owe keeps increasing. After digging around their horrible website that offers almost no information at all, I found out that they are compounding interest daily. So I've paid almost a thousand dollars to them and the total amount I owe is actually $300 more than I originally borrowed. They seem very predatory. They also assured me that automatic payments were set up, and they were not. If I hadn't gone in and set them up again, I would have been hit with late charges as well. I was referred to them as a bridge loan for a roof and siding replacement due to hale damage. I was sent multiple notifications about first payment due. I payed the balance at the "first payment due". The loan was to be interest free until the first payment. I was then told I owed another $2500. I called several times and finally spoke to a gentleman who listened to me and looked at the notices I was sent. He was going to escalate this. I was supposed to hear back in 72 hours. Much like the multiple other calls, I heard nothing. Called back and no one knew what I was talking about. I paid it as the legal fees would have exceeded the amount due. They sent me a statement indicating that the account was settled. Then they hit my credit indicating I was over 60 days late.
