I am a former VP from the new-home building industry, and would hire Norma in a heartbeat. Everything we discussed was in my saved project when I got home. We had a contract for a solid surface backsplash and when the installer arrived he was using 2 small pieces behind our stove? The seam was going horizontal and not at all what we agreed on! The owner proceeded to tell me that was common practice and in the mean time his wife was texting me that that was not acceptable and Ross (her husband and owner of the company) has a solid surface backsplash and it does not have a horizontal seam half way up! After many terrible conversations (where the owner spoke extremely nasty to me multiple times - once on speaker for my builder and his team to hear) they came back with a solid surface as we had contracted for. The owner came to measure- he did not use a laser to measure. I later learned from my builder that a laser is used to measure in this field of expertise. Our solid surface backsplash is all over the place- it was cut too short in 3/4 of the kitchen and then at an angle under our hood- the installer used white glue to try and hide this (now we have globe of white glue everywhere!) It is a HUGE mess! We have been left with a mess and would advise you to not use Geo's.

Up front Eric & Michael were very…read morepersonable and said all the right things to put our minds at ease as we had researched & saved for many years to build our kitchen. Fast forward December 12, 2018 our final electrical inspection was just completed. I do really enjoy my new kitchen however I would have been just as happy with a different contractor who didn't juggle so many projects at once. It has taken me a long time to even get around to writing this review as I was torn between the love of my new kitchen and the utter disappointment which is Blue Sky's service. So many things occurred during this renovation from the subcontractors they used that literally trashed my kitchen during the tear down....I realize that sounds petty but when the home owners are still living in the home leaving chicken wing bones & razor blades on the floor is totally unacceptable. Other things was just lack of response from anyone within the company. Weeks would go by with no communication or work being done. The design layout was provided by us, we did not take long to make selections so in this case it was not the homeowners holding up progress. The case being Blue Sky has too many projects going on at any given time to really commit to the successful completion of any. Also they never returned to finish the punch list & the gate clicker we loaned them to gain access to the property they never returned despite us calling & emailing to ask for its return. Lastly, our granite countertop has recently chipped off at the corner... I realize this would be the granite installation company not Blue Sky but I have no idea who they used & we have called numerous times to inquire & no one will call us back. This last encounter or lack of has been the reason for this review to finally come to light. They cannot even be bothered to call a former client who is only trying to get a name & number so we can get the chip in our counter repaired. HOMEOWNERS BE WARNED! Once this company has your money they're out. Save your money a little more & use a smaller reputable contractor to get the service & craftsmanship you deserve. We have learned our lesson & are not using Blue Sky for our next renovations.

We are utterly disappointed in our interactions with Blue Sky (BS) and would recommend anyone…read morereading this to look elsewhere or make sure you get bids from multiple contractors. In reading the other review from Rebecca N., we had the exact opposite problems with BS. We are doing a fairly major, expensive remodeling job (full kitchen and master bathroom) and sought bids from three contractors/designers - BS being one of them and the one that I thought, pre-bid, that we would probably end up working with. The BS rep scheduled an initial appointment, then on the morning of the appointment cancelled due to an illness with his young child - totally understandable. The BS rep rescheduled, arrived on time for the second appointment and everything seemed to go well; very business-like and straightforward. He told us that he would have a bid to us as early as 2 days but more likely in 4-5 days. Seven (7) days later, we contacted him and inquired about the bid. He apologized, said he was busy with so many other bids and promised it again within a couple of days. Now 2+ weeks later (after receiving bids from the other two contractors), we contacted the BS rep again to inform him that we needed the BS bid so that we could move the project forward. Crickets! Nada! Zip, zero communication from BS! Needless to say, they might have ended poorly with Rebecca N., but they failed to even begin with us. We obviously went with another contractor (Trendmark) who have been fabulous. Warning to anyone considering BS for a construction or remodeling job: proceed with caution. It is rare that I offer a negative review of any organization; but, dealing with BS was simply that: BS. Very unprofessional.

Melanie was very helpful and kept us on track and fairly within the budget my husband and I wanted to stay at/nearby. An odd thing happened when we were there in May, though, and I felt compelled to write about it. We were talking and frankly, having a fun time-so that meant a little bit of laughing. I mean, you WANT your clients to have fun during what could be a daunting task! So while we were on one side of the building, another rep (I think her name was Pat? She was on the taller side, I'm pretty sure the dog roaming the business was hers as well, and she had curly gray hair) came over and brashly reprimanded us for laughing too loud bc "she couldn't hear what her customer was saying". We all looked at each other like, "WOW! Did THAT just happen?" we are grown women and CUSTOMERS and she handled that extremely unprofessionally and in such a condescending way. She could have easily come over and said in a sweet way with a smile, "Hey! Y'all seem to be having so much fun and it makes me smile, but is there any way you could laugh and talk a little more quietly? I am having difficulty hearing my current client. Again, please have fun! I just need a little help with being a little quieter." We would have completely understood and would have done just that! However, when you come over and REPRIMAND grown adults for laughing while doing business, it put a bad taste in my mouth for that showroom. Also, my interior design team both mentioned that neither of them have ever had a situation happen like that. They felt like they needed to apologize to me as their client! Melanie was wonderful and thorough and handled that brashness like a champ. She is a gem!

My contractor sent me there to select my stone, and provided them with my budget allowance and measurements. My original selection was out of budget, and a month later I went back in person and switched my selection to a different quartz that was cheaper and that I liked better. I was told very clearly at that time by the staff onsite that the NEW selection I was making was within budget. After installation, and when I was reconciling payments with my contractor, I saw that I was being charged 1.5x my allowance for a stone called "Calacatta Vega," a quartz that looks nothing like what I chose and what was installed in my home. No matter which distributer or reseller I looked at online and in person, every time it came up, Calacatta Vega was a bright white with bold black veining; the stone I actually selected and what was installed in my home is creamy white with soft gray and gold swirls. I went onsite after seeing the erroneous invoice and KJ Natural Stone would not show me another slab with the name of what they billed me for, would not show me another slab matching what I had selected at the time, and repeated over and over that stone names are irrelevant. Tingy, the rep I worked with, was snippy and condescending, refused to investigate or even consider that perhaps I was being charged for the wrong stone, repeatedly said it wasn't her problem, and dismissed all evidence--including photos of the quartz in my home and pictures of the named stone I was charged for on MULTIPLE sites online. She continued to talk over me, stating that "You got the stone you selected," over and over. That is in no way what I am questioning. I know that I received the stone that I selected, however I am certain the stone I am being CHARGED for is not what's in my home.
