If you are going to the Raleigh Showroom on Yonker's Road, make an appointment with Norma in advance. She is personable, detailed, attentive and has the most amazing memory. I am a former VP from the new-home building industry, and would hire Norma in a heartbeat. Everything we discussed was in my saved project when I got home. The front counter lady that greeted me was helpful and very nice. There was another lady working in design, that was a total snot. I wish I knew her name so I could tell you to avoid her. It's a good thing they have an exclusive dealership on Wolf and Subzero, because after today's experience with a customer service person in accounts, I sorely question how this company can survive with this type of low level employee. I put 8000 dollars down on a Wolf stove 7 months ago, so when I received word that it was in, I was thrilled. I asked the accounts person to do two things: call me to set up a delivery date and to send me the amount owed. I waited and never heard from her, so I called her. Not much customer service there, but it went downhill from there. Although I asked specifically for the amount due on the stove only, she sent me a bill for two other items I had purchased elsewhere. When I clarified that the note said stove only, i asked again for a final bill for my business. I did not get that. I got the original bill with the 8000 acknowledged in a separate email, but not in the final receipt. When I asked what it would take for me to get a final bill, I got no further emails. Instead, I got a call from the delivery company, who should never have called me as my bill was not yet finalized. I explained that to the delivery person, but I then spent more than two hours of my time trying to get a final payment acknowledgment in the Raleigh office. When did an accurate receipt of the amount due on an item become a frill? I would strongly suggest shopping at Ferguson and buying items that are not Ferguson only items elsewhere because there is no customer service until you shake some trees, and clearly you run the risk of being over billed by an employee who should never have been in customer relations/ billing to start with. if You enjoy wasting your time, getting the royal run around and just feeling like you are unheard, Ferguson is the perfect store for you. They break relationships with the customer, rather than affirm them. read more

I made an appointment with a salesperson to look at appliances and spent two hours out of my workday to go to Ferguson. The salesperson immediately tried to steer me to Viking and Wolf (very expensive) appliances, even though those are not in my price range. I could tell he was disappointed when I asked to see things that are more middle-of-the-road. He was knowledgeable, which I appreciated. But he also kept talking about his beach house, which was irritating. He promised to follow up with a price quote for a package of a range, dishwasher, and fridge, but he never replied to me even after I sent reminder emails asking for the quote. TLDR: unless you're super wealthy, Ferguson doesn't want your business and will disrespect you. read more

I'm a home remodeling designer and construction coordinator in the area and have worked with Norma Falk for a good 5 years or more now. I can't speak for Ferguson as a company but only the experience I have had with them while working with her and has always been a great experience. I send clients in with a shopping list of items and she assists them to make plumbing and appliance selections according to my plans and to meet their needs and budget. My only issue was with a job when the shipping was handled by a separate person / department, they didn't have everything coordinated as well as she typically did. She's now working out of the Raleigh, NC location so if anyone is reading this and looking for a great referral you'll be in great hands. read more

Our builder reccomended ferguson as the local "high end dealer". It was our first house, we didn't know better. Constant turn over, horribly messed up our orders, no support for issues in order/delivery, and after buying their premier 12k Italian stove, it broke in the first year. TWO YEARS LATER we still can't get it fixed. They souced the stove through a chain of 4 no-name 'distributers' who are unresponsive and-or out of business. Warrantee is the same, resold from a reseller of a third party provider, and no way to get traction. Because its a foreign brand there is only ONE importer, and they dont jave any idea about this mess. STAY AWAY. read more

My husband and I went into this Ferguson store to obtain a jacuzzi and spa for our new house. Little did we know they were going to discriminate us completely. We entered and asked for help and while entering the showroom a lady came up to us and said that all her reps were busy we literally saw all the ladies talking to each other and NO ONE attempted to show us inventory? When we asked why she couldn't help she simply said she was also busy and couldn't attend us. Did I mention the store was empty. Every worker there was available! We purchased all our kitchen appliances at Ferguson's Raleigh about 2017 for a remodel project. We finailly reached the point of installation in 2018. In our walk-through, the manager was particularly enthusiastic to the new line of Jenn-Air appliances. We usually use Wolf, Sub-Zero and Asko appliances because they are bullet proof. But, we opted for the Jenn-Air models which was taking his word of faith. Needless to say, we have had problems with our refrigerator (ice maker), our stacked ovens (software issues leading to an over turning itself on in the middle of the night), and our dishwashers (one rack just feel off because of corrosion of the slide mechanism. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Jenn-Air was offering a higher "kick-back" or margin for the store. Anyway, don't trust what the manager tells you there. Trust your gut and do your research. read more

After reading the mixed reviews of Ferguson, I decided to visit myself as I wanted to add a little modern touch to my dining room with a new chandelier for my small remodel. It was around noon and I had no idea that they would be so busy. I was greeted by Donna who asked what she could assist me with. She told me that all consultants were currently busy; however, she offered and I accepted a beeper much like a restaurant. That made me take notice listening to the consultants answering questions asked of them. I wanted help with lighting and was told that Greg was the specialist. He would probably be 20 minutes or slightly more. Well, if you have not been to this showroom, there is enough to look at before you are assigned a consultant to last hours. I would say if you don't have the time to wait for the most professional help I have ever received, call and make an appointment. I was offered rather than waiting and now I will make an appointment. You are dealing with true specialist. Greg finally was free and came over to introduce himself. He asked me how he could help me. I told him I wanted to update my dining room with a little more modern light. He asked me questions to figure out the size of a light I would need. Then he showed me pieces they have hanging. From there he showed me a few catalogs and quickly showed me a picture of an amazing chandelier. I fell in love and he said, come with me, I have it hanging. I had not expected to find something so quickly. But his taste, intent listening and ability to realize my style helped me visualize. I purchased the dining piece plus a foyer lantern that I never would have imagined would go together. They look amazing and all of my friends want to know where I bought them. My builder has now switched to using Ferguson I had to wait for help longer than anticipated, but I left knowing I had ordered the right pieces for my house. I will definitely return to Ferguson. They all were extremely nice in a very busy atmosphere. Definitely will go back with an appointment. read more

The key to success at Ferguson is to make an appointment. We have worked with both an appliance salesperson and a lighting expert during the design of our new home. Both of them were awesome - spent literally hours and hours with us on three different visits. They are extremely knowledgeable and gave us great tips and advice. Their quoted prices are also lower than what we could find ourselves on the web for the same products. The only reason I did not give them five stars is because the lighting guy has taken longer than we would like to give us the detailed quote and layout he promised. read more

Huge store with a lot of full kitchen displays, so it is excellent for inspiration and also gives confidence to those who have difficulty envisioning how things will come together. Excellent selection of cabinets, countertops, lighting, tubs, sinks, hardware and much more. Knowledgable and helpful staff who offer design assistance. Appointments are preferred if you want to talk to an associate, but they make every effort to accommodate walk-ins and I have rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes. The only negative is that prices seem a bit high for some things, but they have so much to offer so you just have to keep an eye on your budget. read more

Employees need a refresher course in customer service. We visited in the hopes of finding faucets for a kitchen and bathroom remodel. We should have left as soon as we entered when the young woman at the front desk barely acknowledged us. She did at least make eye contact, but didn't speak, welcome us to the showroom or even ask what we were interested in. We easily found the displays of faucets for both baths and kitchens, but after looking around and comparing different styles for 30 minutes, no one in the store spoke to us. One associate actually reached in front of my wife to grab a faucet from the wall and didn't speak! I doubt that the young woman at the entrance even noticed when we left since she didn't even look up from her desk. If you are interested in faucets or fixtures - know that no one will assist you in finding what you want or need. Go in; get model numbers; order from somewhere else. read more

Ferguson is a supply house. They are pretty adept at dealing with plumbers for parts and their tradesperson counter is great. I also believe they are fine for dealing with general contractors if you want to pick appliances they deal with a contractor and are comfortable with that. If you are a home owner you would be a fool to buy direct from Ferguson.They aren't equipped for it. There customer service in that capacity is horrible. As previous reviewers mentioned the customer service is terrible. The ability to get an invoice marked paid that is addressed to you personally is almost impossible. They automatically want to assign the orders to a contractor. If you are dealing with a construction loan where you need to be invoiced directly it's tough. I was actually billed directly and my contractor was billed for the same order.We ended up both paying our invoices. It took quite a bit of time to get the matter settled. This was for over $10,000 in lighting orders. I ended up buying my plumbing fixtures, appliances and lighting from there. My experience just as Jennifer R. mentioned with Greg Spigner was not good though I believe he has good knowledge on lighting not great at servicing a customer. I did have a decent experience with their plumbing sales person Lucas Stagl though I feel he's hobbled by their arcane billing system. Ferguson also has this inane practice of giving you a Powerpoint Proposal of your order. It lacks part numbers so you can't go shop it around. I understand that, but the downside is if they don't order the right thing you have no recourse. I ended up getting a proposal with one color of light shades that were shown in the picture on my proposal but since there was no part number to reference they claimed I ordered a different color. I was forced to pay restocking fees and price differences for the shades. Not a problem to pay the cost of the shades but the restocking fee was unacceptable. I ended up overpaying considerably for things do to a lack of precision in their ordering system. I do think the sales reps are knowledgeable on their products but don't expect to get good customer service and billing support. They have a nice showroom and it's worth going in there to take a look but I wouldn't buy from them again. Keep in mind that their parent company also just bought Build.com so maybe that will bring them into this century. However if I had to do it again I'd buy from a retailer that has a modern billing system and return policy that's reasonable. I purchased $50K worth of merchandise from them and feel like I got a $50K headache to go along with them. read more

I read some of these reviews and was stunned at the negativity. I just finished two complete bathroom remodels with a contractor and dealt with Stacy. I was advised to make an appointment with Stacy, which I did. I was greeted on time and I was able, with Stacy's cheerful help, to go over the things I might want. She asked me questions about lifestyle and needs when I was trying to decide on replacing an old whirlpool tub. She was very helpful and even filled up their display tub so I could actually see and feel the differences on whirlpool and air tub and pros and cons of each. I felt she was really knowledgeable and very, very helpful. I had compared prices with things online and so was able to decide if I wanted to purchase everything through them or buy some items online to save money. In about 90 minutes I was able to order everything down to the cabinet handles. The one small negative was that I was sent the incorrect handle with a differing part number. I took it back, reordered the proper one on Friday and it came Monday. ( That was not the Ferguson store but came from the distribution center in Tn.) I call that very fast service. The delivery people who brought everything were very polite and everything came together in boxes and on pallets when promised. read more

Terrible post-sale customer service. We worked closely with their Certified Lighting Consultant, Greg, to purchase new light fixtures for our entire 2800 sq ft home. All but one fixture was fine. However, for that light (which arrived 5 months late), although we were assured that the light could be adjusted to fit our space vertically (and even built out the ceiling to accommodate the light's width), when we brought in an Electrician to install it, he and our Contractor found that the housing was insufficient to coil the necessary cable to shorten the fixture. I brought the light back to Ferguson, hoping to return it and buy a replacement. However, Greg and his manager Chad insisted that we pay a 25% restocking fee because 'nothing was wrong with the light' and accused the licensed Electrician and Contractor of incompetence. Greg said if we had called, they could have figured it out, however I did call, couldn't get a hold of him, and was hung up on by their staff. Although Chad and Greg said they could waive the fee and were aware that between the ceiling and (attempted) installation, we'd already spent a fair amount of money into trying to make the fixture work, they weren't willing to do so to keep us as clients. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Ferguson Showroom in Raleigh, NC. My husband and I went to shop for light fixtures this past weekend and their customer service was horrible. They lady at the front desk was rude and barley even spoke to us. We waited for approx. 20 mins before anyone helped us after we had already requested we needed some help and the showroom was not busy at all. As we walked out of the store after not finding what we were looking for the lady at the front desk did not say thank you for coming in or anything, she completely ignored us along with a sales manager. I was shocked at the lack of customer service and will never go back for that reason. Why would I give a company my hard earned money when they seem to not want to be bothered by their customers? I do not recommend going to this showroom. Charlotte's showroom on the other hand was fantastic and helpful. read more

I went in to Ferguson to look at lights that I was ordering online for a house that I was having built. I met Alexis who was really nice and assuring. She gave me a price list for my lights and convinced me to switch from my builder's subcontractor for lights to Ferguson's. I felt really happy thinking that she was going to provide good service and a better price. She even said that she woule be there when the lights were delivered. Well the lights got delivered - several of them broken- and Alexis was no there as she had assured me she would be. When I tried to call her she did not answer a single call, text or email for 4 weeks. Finally I called and spoke with her manager, Nathan. He explained to me that they have certain people they want to keep in front of customers so after they make their sale they pass you off to someone else. So, after being dropped from the communication loop, the day before i was due to close on my house, my builder shows up with an invoice for $2000 more than the price Alexis used to make her sell. So, my advice to you if you are thinking of using them is to get a true contract that says the price you are given when you are being whooed is actually the price you will get when they actually bill you. BTW, I have received replacement lights for the broken lights and they are broken as well. Three months after my order I have 2 broken dining room lights in my new dining room, one broken light sent to replace the wrong color light sitting in my library, and no gurantee of when the lights will arrive. If I had it to do over I would choose a small company that cares about customer service. read more
