The outside seating isn't my favorite since it's on the front sidewalk and can get a little busy, but we got there close to when they opened for a weekend brunch so I don't know if that's why the service moved a little bit slow, but we were enjoying ourselves so it was too much of a bother. I've ordered off of both their dinner and brunch menu, both were winners! Everything I've had has always been flavorful and they give very generous portions. My wife and I have learned that if we share an app, there is no way we can finish an entree as well so be prepared for leftovers. I've had several different gyros and have greatly enjoyed them all. Their fries are consistently crunchy and flavored well. OHHHHHH. I also LOVE that they serve Turkish coffee - it reminds me of my childhood and it's just so delicious. All in all I for sure recommend to anyone. I will continue eating there and sharing it with others!

And we wanted somewhere nice, so didn't mind paying around $50 per dish, but the food just was nothing remarkable at all. I got the wagyu steak and she got some kind of fish. Mine was undercooked, but I'm not picky, so no big deal. But even after just having the dish at our table for a few minutes, they weren't warm anymore; just cooled to room temperature. It's like the plates had been sitting on a counter in the kitchen for 5-10 minutes before they got brought out to us. Our server was nice enough, but again for the price you're paying, you'd really expect a phenomenal experience. She was no more or less friendly than a server at Applebee's. My fiance had put on our reservation that it was our 1-year anniversary, so we thought at least somebody would say congratulations (as they do at other nice places in Kalamazoo), but it went completely unremarked upon. We didn't expect a free dessert or anything, but again, for what we paid for the meal, we expected them to at least mention the occasion. It's not a bad restaurant. But for what they're charging for food, you absolutely are not getting your money's worth.

First things first. I have to address why I was so sad after this visit. I TOTALLY FORGOT they have…read moremini cocktail flights. I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. We would definitely come back, but please print out the cocktail flight list or at least suggest it if people are hemming and hawing over what to get like I was.

The tour is $20 and it comes with a flight, which we were going to try anyway. Or you can just do the tour for $10 if you don't want a flight. It's not much of a "tour" in a physical sense as their production facility is small, in just one room, but we learned a lot about distilling in general, as well as a lot of information about the company and their products. I'd highly recommend it especially if you don't know much about the company. The interior has a 20s speakeasy feel, which I really liked. It's a little fancy but comfortable and welcoming. The drink menu was pretty large and it was tough for me to choose which drink I wanted after the flight. I ended up with the blueberry margarita because it was on happy hour. It was really great! Not too sweet. Nate got the cherry black Manhattan which we both enjoyed too. I loved the flight because we got to try pretty much all of the spirit offerings, including their amaro, Oaxacan green corn bourbon, and pink peppercorn gin, which were all unique and very tasty. Our bartender was knowledgable and very kind - great service. I'll definitely be back!
