I walked into Mo's Factory St to grab some late lunch. I was SLAPPED a menu on the table from a large disgruntled 'waitress' who then walked away. I waited five minutes and she returned to demand my selection. I waited in the run down, unclean diner for another twenty minutes before lunch appeared. I gave it a go and it was hot and basic. Small local dinner, mainly older people working and eating here. Food is fresh, always made in house. Prices are very reasonable, 5 dollar burgers, 10 dollar entrees. Service is reasonable, everything is hot. Small and packed on the weekends. Under staffed sometimes so it can be slow service. 66 dollars for 5 meals and 4 drinks. Watertown's late night munchies. Cash only but don't let that deter you. Mo's place is walking distance from the best bars Watertown has to offer. It's a greasy spoon diner. I've had over easy eggs, home fries and chili cheese fries from there and they've all hit the spot... I just wish their ketchup were Heinz bottles and not a generic watered down ketchup. read more

I never experience good service here. The last time I ate here with my boyfriend and son, the waitress had a bunch of her friends sitting at the counter. She was rude to us and she was endlessly complaining to her friends how she'd "rather be at Harborfest than dealing with 'these' customers." Every time I said "Thank you" to her when she actually brought us something - which was rare... she just walked away without saying anything. At one point my boyfriend turned me and asked me if I'd ever stolen the girls boyfriend. I didn't even know her. She was very young, maybe 19 and extremely unprofessional. At one point she was even swearing obscenities where my 9 year old could hear her. I love the food here, but the fact that they have such a hard time getting or keeping good wait staff is disheartening. They'd do a lot more business if they had someone who actually cared about their job waiting on customers. read more

This is THE place to go after spending a night on the town. Depending on when you go, the service can be a little bit slow just because of the amount of people that tend to end up here at the end of the night. The food is good and the place is pretty low-key so it kind of makes sense because it's not a franchise and they can easily maintain the quality of their food. I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine about a year and a half ago and I have been a frequent diner ever since. No matter what I order, always have to add those delicious cheesesticks to the order. I love that breakfast is served all throughout the night. I have literally ordered the same exact thing the dozens of times I've been here and it has never fallen short of amazing. This place also does all you can eat spaghetti on Thursday nights. My one complaint, yes every good review MUST have at least one, is that the only accepted form of payment is cash. When my tab is up to $40 I really don't feel like pulling out cash. But luckily the atm is right inside and it is the only one I've seen in a while that will give you money in increments of $10 instead of $20. read more

Warning, every time I've been there its been midnight or after with at least 1 or 2 beers under my belt. With that out there it is the ONLY place I'll do breakfast food anymore. Its not large, buts its amazingly clean for a diner dive (dive isn't even fair, its so much better). The service is fast, and courteous. You get a TON of food for the money and its always cooked to order. I plan on eating many more late night breakfasts there with friends. read more

Not a gorgeous place by any means but the food is EXCELLENT. I'm from Long Island and recently moved to the Watertown area, and back on LI diners take pride in how much they can out-glitz one another. Fancy professional looks and for the most part good food, but even "bad" Long Island diners are still very good. I must say, though, that after my first visit to Mo's and ordering my usual 2 eggs over easy + bacon + home fries breakfast i was flabbergasted by how much food i got for the money! It was the first time in my life that platter actually filled me up. On top of that, it was GOOD! Bacon was cooked to perfection as was everything else. White toast slices were a tad smaller than what I'm used to but still big enough. Waiter was nice, friendly and straight forward. That's what I prefer. Nice and to the point, no baloney. Would I prefer a more updated place with central air? I guess so, but when it comes to diners it's all about the food and this one was absolutely the BEST eggs/bacon/ home fries platter ive ever had in my life, and this coming from a Long Islander says a lot. Waitress was a real nut-case. Her voice is very loud and could be heard all over the diner. She took personal phone calls while making the customers wait for their food and to place their order. Then she would tell the cook and owner, tell him I am busy and do not want to talk to him. She is very disorganized, and not able to prioritize. She does not come back to see if you want anything else or if the food was alright. She talks non-stop to customers about personal problems and has a very bad attitude on life and events taking place in her life. She needs to go to Mental Health and vent her problems. She is not suited for a waitress. She makes the customers feel unwanted and unappreciated. Although she finally figured up the checks and gave them to some but not others, not in the order the customers came into the diner either, she made me wait 15 minutes and did not bring mine, so I had to go up to the cash register and wait another 10 minutes for her to present me with my check. She hollers across the counter to the tables and asks customers what they want. She is very irritating and not suited to be a waitress anywhere. The items on the special board are very high priced for what you are getting. Any restaurant that does not include a little vegetable with their special is not looking to serve the customers a well balanced diet and needs to pay attention to the daily adult requirements of the food triangle. The food is nothing to brag about and they will not get repeat customers this way, nor will they get any additional business from me. Moe's Diner would not even make a good trucker diner. My time is valuable, and I do not appreciate spending an hour for lunch waiting and waiting. The diner only had 1/3 the capacity at the busiest moment of my stay. read more
