I'll rate my last three stays, and unfortunately I'm not overly enthused. I would expect more from…read morea Westin Resort. On my most recent stay, I was placed in a handicap accessible room that I did not request when booking. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what I expected. During the stay before that, on my last day, I stopped at the pool bar to relax and have a few drinks. The entire time, the bartenders and wait staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other. It made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. On the stay prior to that, I had a very negative interaction with a manager, which I reported in a letter. The response from the hotel was lukewarm and didn't leave a good impression. I felt I was treated poorly, especially for a property at this level, and the small number of points offered felt more dismissive than helpful. On top of that, tours were repeatedly brought through the gym while my guests and I were trying to work out. I understand the space may be open, but having multiple groups walk through filming on their phones, combined with the manager's reaction and comments, was frustrating and honestly left a lasting negative impression. I will say the front desk staff are excellent and the housekeeping team is outstanding. Unfortunately, the issues with other areas overshadow the great work they do. This review is for the The Westin Anaheim Resort.

Staffs were all super friendly and welcoming during the whole stay. Overall really smooth experiance and definitely would stay again.

Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

I've been sick as a dog here and they didn't bother to refund the trip, even partially. The customer service here is extremely cold. They don't care at all about the condition you are in and don't offer any suggestions to keep you comfortable if you're sick. Also our room wasn't even ready after 4pm. Worst check in experience ever. Loud noise all through the night of kids screaming and running around. There was also a gas leak event that happened in Garden Grove that they didn't even alert us all about. Absolute negligence for the customer. Will NOT return and caution everyone who is looking to stay here, that they don't value the customer.

Things you must know: The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Disney next to the cheesecake factory. Parking is vallet, the will get your vehicle 5-8 mins after you request it. Check in is on the 2nd floor, you will be greeted by a wonderful and friendly team. You can either take the escalator or those elevator on the far left when you enter. You do not need room key to access those elevators if you're going to the 2nd floor. The gym is on the Mezzanine level, it's not a big gym however it has everything you need. They have complimentary mimosas from 4PM-5PM right by the front desk, there is one Italian restaurant and a bar/with bar foods on the 2nd floor. If you go outside and take the far the elevator you will find the rooftop restaurant where they provide complimentary wine from 5PM to 6PM with a view of Downtown. There's a huge heated swimming pool with Cabanas and TV with complimentary towels. You will need your room key to access the elevator. There's a drop off laundry service for a fee. Some rooms have direct views to downtown Disney where you can see the fireworks every night at 9:05PM on the dot. The rooms are cozy with a small fridge, the bathroom has a separate shower big enough for 4 people at the same time and a soaking bathtub with nice JWM bathrobe. The aromatherapy associates bath products were quite nice but standard for the brand. I did not care for the executive lounge at all, the offerings were somewhat limited and more characteristic of what I would expect to find at a mainline, Marriott hotel or Sheraton. (Fried snacks / "buffet egg" out of a giant trough.) We received a friendly knock on the door at 8 AM on the day of our checkout to double check that we were still here. Parking was quite steep at about $70 per day - i'm going to assume this is to capture the parking dollars of the convention goers and folks attending the theme park.

They had a pull out bed that was extremely spacious as well. I had an incident where I was injured in the park by falling on the tracks where they have the parades and cracking my knee of the metal, well when I was limping back the front desk was already ON it, having someone come out from the medical station down Main Street which I was unaware they had, how neat, and offer ambulatory devices so I could get around the park such as scooters, wheelchair, they also cleaned it and wrapped it did an incident report and were so incredibly helpful. I will forever appreciate that because accidents happen and you never think it's going to be you until it is and they handled it so calm cool empathetic and collective it helped a lot. Though my knee ended up fractured it was the last day there so I REALLY got to admire this beautiful hotel. At one point I just hobbled down to the pools and put my feet in their hot tub! I selected this accommodation primarily due to its appealing price point as a Good Neighbor Hotel,…read moreas advertised on Disneyland's website. Furthermore, it holds sentimental significance for me, as it is where I previously stayed during my elementary school years. Although other hotels were considered, I found their higher prices to be unwarranted given what I perceived as a motel-like quality. The check-in process was remarkably convenient. We received a pre-arrival check-in text message, followed by a welcome reminder that included the option to cancel our reservation without incurring any fees. Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We were informed via text that our room was ready. Additionally, we received a text message offering an extension for our check-out time. I routinely use antibacterial wipes before touching any surfaces in a hotel room. It can often be quite surprising to discover the level of cleanliness of remote controls, light switches, curtain rods, refrigerator handles, tabletops, and bathrooms. This was the very first occasion where the majority of the wipes remained pristine. The only instance they showed any residue was when I wiped down the racks or rails of the chairs. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional cleanliness of the room. This hotel offers an excellent family-friendly experience, featuring a water playground that is ideal for children. Its prime location directly across from Disneyland provides convenient access to the park. Furthermore, the availability of on-site parking at the hotel eliminates the need to search for parking at Disneyland, enhancing the overall guest experience.

We were looking forward to a smooth, family-friendly stay. In preparation, I reserved four rooms several months in advance and requested that they be located near one another. I understand that such requests are not guaranteed, but given the lead time, I was hopeful for closer proximity. At check-in, two of the four rooms were ready around 2:00 PM, while our room was not available until after 4:00 PM. We were advised it would be guaranteed by 4:00 PM; however, it was still not ready at that time. Traveling with a young child made the delay more challenging, particularly as she needed to rest. When our room did become available, it was located on a different floor and opposite side of the building from the rest of our party. Staff did offer that room as an option, but the separation made coordinating with family more difficult throughout the stay. During our visit, we also encountered several property policies that were more restrictive than expected, including required wristbands for pool access and additional swimwear requirements for infants beyond standard swim diapers. While policies vary by property, these were not typical of our prior hotel experiences. Housekeeping service was inconsistent. The room did not appear to be fully refreshed during our stay (including linens and vacuuming), and when we contacted the front desk to request service between 12:00-2:00 PM, we were told it would depend on availability. Parking near our building was limited, with several spots blocked off despite no visible work occurring. This required parking farther away, which was particularly difficult for a member of our group with mobility limitations. Lastly, elevator service between floors was quite slow, which added to the overall inconvenience when moving between rooms and amenities. Overall, while we appreciated the initial recommendation and the intent of a family-friendly environment, there were several operational challenges that impacted what was an important weekend for us. I would hesitate to recommend this property to friends or family unless they are fully informed of the policies and expectations prior to booking.

Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Overall, once you factor in free parking, breakfast, and the shuttle, it's actually a great value for Disneyland. Clean, easy, and family-friendly. I would come back.
