Our first time at the Candy Cane Inn, but hopefully not the last! After moving out of state but still being a Magic Key holder we needed to find a place where we could come spend a few days close to the park with free parking, a pool, and clean rooms. This last bit was very important to me as I know that some of the hotels right near the parks can get a little gross. This was not the case here. It's clear that someone's taken a lot of care to really rehab this place and make it something special. The decor is so charming and it really feels like a little oasis on Harbor Ave. It is expensive don't get me wrong but you pay for convenience here. From the hotel to the security entrance, it's about a 10 minute walk. That on top of the free breakfast and aforementioned free parking make this place a no-brainer. I should also mention that there is a shuttle to the park, if you prefer that, it runs around every hour. Unfortunately, we came to Anaheim during one of the worst heat waves we've ever experienced, but the Candy Cane Inn came through with the stellar AC. This was a great retreat during hot days to cool off and catch up on sleep before heading back to the park after sunset. My only beef is they need to add a path between here and Avengers Campus since we're right next door! It would be so convenient. read more

Great location. Only a brisk 10 minute walk from their parking lot to the first security check-in for the Parks. Super friendly staff. Ada at the front desk is the best. Made our first stay memorable. We're saying goodbye to the California Grand and saying hello to Candy Cane Inn. With our Magic Key, you get a rate discount. Rooms - upgraded and clean. I particularly noticed something from their staff and it's not a small item. When walking the hall and just glancing into a room being cleaned, they do not put the beddings on the floor like 99% of other hotels. If this is a detail they enforce, as a guest you can feel at home when you finally crash for the evening after a full day in the park. Grounds - wow! They were non-stop cleaning, pruning, watering. This is the Disney experience you hear about. Complimentary Breakfast - from 6:30am-9:30am. But I saw people coming in at 9:40 and the staff didn't turn them away. Yeah, I'm looking at you Hyatt House. And the variety of foods is great. The fruit actually looks like it was freshly cut and not from a bag. They had papaya and mounds of blueberries when I was there, among the classics like strawberries, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Instead of a spoon to serve yogurt, they had flavored Oikos in their individual sealed containers so there ain't sticky fingers double-dipping! Lobby - they have fresh water with watermelon slices. Super refreshing because it was 90 degrees during our entire stay. Bottom line. Such a clean and friendly environment. Top notch! read more

Security opened the door for no reason. We were sleeping with the do not disturb sign on the door, and they banged on the door and then OPENED IT. There's more. We stayed in room 226, and our entire room kept vibrating. We took a video of it, because the shakes so much you can see the objects vibrating on video. read more

My family has been staying here since I was about 2 years old and now that I am 26 years old I am too spoiled to stay anywhere for my Disney trips! First off the location is great for the parks, it's a doable walk when your feet are still fresh but if you're too tired they have their cute little trolley that drops you off and picks you up from the parks once an hour. It's a very quiet hotel, i've never had any noise issues staying there. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Another plus is the A/C's always work great and since they renovated they're in the ceiling so it cools a lot more evenly. They've got a pool and hot tub plus a small wading pool for the little tykes! They've really stepped up their continental breakfast as well. Lots of choices and great things to grab for snacks later inside the park. The staff is always phenomenal and friendly. From front desk, to maids, to groundskeepers and security guards everyone smiles and greets you when walking by. We like a specific area of the hotel and they almost always honor that and are very personable. The price is pretty comparable to other ones in the surrounding area when you factor in parking fees for them. My family is usually willing to pay a little extra for that Candy Cane Inn charm. More affordable than any Disney branded hotel but still that great Disney level customer service. read more

This hotel was incredible! It was perfect walking distance from downtown Disney and Disneyland. Less than 10 minutes from security. They have a trolly but it seemed like it took longer than just walking. The grounds were super well maintained and everything was so clean inside and out! My favorite items from the breakfast were oatmeal, banana, pound cake, hard boiled eggs, and the cheese cubes. The shower had what looked like 2 faucet types...the lower one had water that was too strong at times. Parking spaces were ok the narrow side but thankfully there were a good number of spaces open. Stayed at Candy Cane Inn for a Disneyland trip and paid about $280 for one night. At first it feels pricey, but once you factor everything in, the value is actually there. Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Stayed for three nights and it was comfortable for my family and I. Great beds, friendly staff, and nice breakfast. There was always staff everywhere keeping everything stocked and keeping the grounds clean throughout the hotel. Water and coffee are free in the lobby. No issues with finding parking, which was free. Water pressure was very strong. In good way, or bad way, depending on your preference. I thought it was great and so much water came out at one time, making showers faster for me, personally. There is a shuttle that takes you to the Disneyland park and it was spacious and comfortable. The only con is that at night it can be heard while it leaves the parking lot. The rooms are motel style so the rooms can hear things outside. Not a huge issue. Breakfast was nice and provided many choices. Cereal, oatmeal, muffins, breads, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese, and breakfast sandwiches with egg and sausage or bacon inside. Something for everyone and breakfast can be eaten by the pool outside. Lots of families here and it felt very safe. Walking distance to Disneyland as well. Had a nice stay at this accommodation and would recommend it because of its a decent price and proximity to Disney and also Walgreens and another souvenir shop next door. read more

Setting up motor scooter rentals with Candy Cane Inn was easy and efficient (they recharge the scooters and have a parking area for them). The rooms are updated and clean. I went back after they did their renovation and I can honestly say I love how they fix up the rooms. It looks super modern with new upgrades like lights, floor, mirror, bathroom, etc. They even have breakfast included and also free parking. The works here are nice and friendly. Every time I stay here I feel like I'm at home. They even transform their shuttle into a trolley which looks cool. The trolley take you and from Disneyland Resort. Don't forget there's even an ice machine in the center of the Inn and right next to it is a laundry room in cast you need to wash and dry your clothes. Candy Cane Inn is located conveniently on Harbor Boulevard within walking distance (10 minutes) to Disneyland (although they do also offer a complimentary shuttle every hour to/from Disneyland) In addition to the complimentary shuttle, Candy Cane Inn offers free breakfast and free parking. The breakfast consists of an assortment of croissant sandwiches, donuts, pastries, fruits. They also have a waffle maker and pancake maker. We had a two queen sized bedroom and it was a good size. The tub/shower worked well. The fridge was a good size and there was also a microwave (which we didn't use) Our only small issue was the parking lot spaces. It seems that everyone was driving large trucks/SUVs and didn't park well within the lines. Other than that, we would definitely return to Candy Cane Inn for our next Disneyland adventure. read more

After spending countless nights searching for a clean, close hotel to Disneyland for my families first time visit to Disneyland. Which would be for 2 nights. I picked Candy Cane Inn, due to the proximity to the park, free parking, and the shuttle. I called them in advance to let them know I will be checking in early due to driving thru the night, they informed me that early check in is okay but does not guarantee a room. I check in around 9:30AM, a room was available. I was given room 101, which is one of the closest rooms to the street. Which may or may not contribute to our issues we had. Room appeared clean and ready to use. Placed all our luggage in the room and went to the park. First night we all took showers and went to sleep, woke around midnight to use rest room. Found huge adult cockroach in corner near toilet. Killed it and went back to bed. Informed front desk in morning of what happened. Told them I wanted new sheets and to check the room. I informed them the toilet water line had a metal cover that is not secured and maybe that's how it got it thru the wall? I was told they were going to spray the room and check that, no idea if they ever did spray the room, but I do know the water pipe trim for toilet water was not secured back on the wall. Second night came back to our room after spending a whole day at the park, arrived back to our room at 1AM. Right when we arrived coackroach literally at our door after we open it. 2 nights and 2 cockroaches is not what I signed up for. Checked to see how they are coming it, noticed I can see the outside light coming from under the door from a bad door seal. Blocked it with a towel for the night. Let the front desk know what happened with each night during my checkout. Was told an okay and they will look into it, was not offered any type of compensation. I'm not going to fight or argue, after an already exhausting time from driving 7hours, days at the park, and now wanting to just leave and go home. Breakfast is meh, just some croissant sandwiches you can heat up, oatmeal, boiled eggs, donuts, bagels, cereal and fruits. Nothing to rave about and nothing to wow you over. Literally some stuff you can bring yourself and store in the fridge. Shuttle was about the whole real positive thing they have going on. Was always on time and quick. Overall I may or may not come back here. Just ironic I picked them for cleanliness from reviews and feeling clean is not what I got. read more

Clean rooms. We had the premium rooms which offered complimentary snacks and breakfast to be brought to the rooms. I wasnt a fan of the breakfast selections but there was a variety of options so there's something for everyone. The staff is amazing and so helpful with any requests or questions. There is a shuttle to the parks but it's close enough to walk so I decided to get my steps in. The pool area is nice and the even have a kids pool (2.5feet). Check in and check out is a breeze. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is stocked with soaps, towels, etc. They offer robes and slippers which are nice and the turn down service is a great touch. Highly recommend especially if you have children. read more

Very nice updated rooms with comfy beds, free continental breakfast, free parking for one vehicle, and a short walk / trolley ride to the park entrance. You can even text the front desk if you need anything. We requested a pack n play for our baby. It wasn't the most comfy, but my baby didn't mind. Flat sheet provided as the sheets. There was still plenty of space to move around the room for three adults. Only slight inconvenience was staying on the second floor and having to carry our stroller up and down the stairs. After years of bouncing between hotels, we have finally found our go-to for Disneyland trips. Safe, clean, affordable, and quiet. Every single staff member we spoke with was very kind and willing to help. Parking was easy, plenty of spots. Grounds are beautiful, safe and clean. Rooms were also clean and we were surprised how quiet our stay was, compared to other hotels we have stayed at in the area. The free breakfast was awesome. Food was great and sitting out in the sun by the pool was a bonus. Plenty of options for our little guy, like fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal. We made the short trek to the park for most of our trip but took the very convenient shuttle back to the hotel after one of our park visits. Just like the rest of the staff, the driver was very friendly and even loaded and unloaded our stroller for us. Our family is happy to say that our days of figuring out which hotel we are going to stay at are over. read more

Genuinely, one of the best/comfy hotels we have stayed in....this coming from a family that travels a lot. We enjoyed the free on-site breakfast. Your typical Continental breakfast but with a twist. The breakfast sandwiches were a hit with our family. Who wouldn't want to start a Disney day full and happy. We loved having the Trolley available and the drivers were extremely friendly. We also walked to the park and back. No more than a 10 min walk each way. Our room was clean, faced the Disney parks which was great as we were able to see the fireworks. I stayed here for my first time in November 2025 and it was amazing! The best hotel I could've picked for my Disney trip. It was the perfect walking distance to the park (15 mins) but I LOVED they offered their own trolley service (at the top of every hour) to get you to the park as well. I stayed in the Deluxe King and it was very spacious. The room was very clean and smelled fresh when walking in. The bathroom and microwave areas were well equipped with any needed items. Any other items needed can be purchased at the gift shop, which was very convenient! The bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. The staff was so sweet and professional with every interaction, before, during, and after our stay. We did need maintence a few times during our trip for minor things and they were at our door within 5 minutes! All staff members are very accommodating and you can tell they take pride in their jobs. The amenities were a major reason for picking The Candy Cane Inn even if we didn't get to use all of them! The breakfast buffet was simply jaw dropping. So many choices that made for a great start to the mornings. It was also very nice to have a clean fitness and laundry room available as a guest. This is a late review but the praises are worth it. We recently stayed here while doing a full bathroom renovation. The staff here was so helpful and so polite. Everyone was about hospitality and every employee I saw working, would stop and ask entire coworker if they needed help. The level of team work, and smiles, and real genuine compassion from everyone was remarkable. I stayed at home and just showered here and went to work, my mom stayed as if she was on a mini vacation and they were so good to her. read more

We arrived well before official check in time, but they had our room ready for us within minutes. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly. A staff member even gave my daughter an adorable Disney gift! The shuttle was always on time and the drivers were very kind. The breakfast offered lots of options. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The landscaping is over the top and so pretty!! Our room was cleaned well each day. The location is great if visiting Disneyland. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone! This has to be the best, most hospitable hotel in the area. We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights last week to take my granddaughter Mia to Disneyland for her birthday and the hotel was the icing on the cake. So many good points I dont even know where to start. The staff. They were amazing, from the front desk, to housekeeping to the security guards, everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I want to call out Ericka at the front desk, she was phenomenal!!! Ericka remembered my name and used it every time she saw me, that in itself really rubbed me the right way. She remembered it was Mia's birthday and wished her a Happy Bday every time she saw her, even called her princess. The trolly drivers were awesome as well. Friendly and happy with great huge personalities. They let Mia ring the bell when we boraded and even had the whole trolly sing Happy Birthday to her. The trolly was a really nice touch, it was in much better condition that the prison style busses that the other hotels were using to pick up and drop off passengers. The hotel itself was immaculate. People were ALWAYS cleaning something there. I even saw them pressure washing the parking lot, who does that? The beds were one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, I woke up refreshed and with no back pain. The pillows and sheets were super soft. The pool was very clean as well and heated. They even had a spa AND a small splash pad for little kids. Plenty of lounge chairs and not one but 2 firepit tables!!! They have a few towel stations around the pool area which is extremely thoughtful of them. Security was very friendly and a constant presence, I never felt unsafe there or worried about my car being broken into. They have FREE parking AND FREE breakfast. It consisted of fruits, pastries, cereal, juice and some seriously good croissant sandwiches. They think of everything, right next to the sandwiches they had a microwave and a small toaster over thing to run the sandwich through to get it nice and toasty. Outside by the pool they had pancake and waffle stations where you can make your own, along with every topping known to man. I cant say enough good things about this place. If I didnt know any better Id swear the staff are family members, the way they took such pride in their jobs. I will be back 100% and recommend them to everyone read more

We have been coming here for a two years now. Newly remodeled a few years ago. Everything is clean, beds are comfortable. Yes- Mini Refrigerator, no microwave in standard rooms. They do have a microwave you can use in the office. They offer an awesome breakfast in morning. Fresh fruit, donuts, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, waffles, pancakes, cheese, boiled eggs and breakfast sandwiches. Juices, hot cocoa and coffee. We have never tried the pool or spa but looks refreshing. At night when fireworks go off you can go to the 2nd floor balcony that faces park to see them. Getting to Disneyland, they offer a trolley service during certain parts of year they do every 30 mins 7:30-10am only. Then every hour on the hour from hotel. Park pick up 15mins after every hour at stop #13. For close convenience to the park, free parking & shuttle to & from park, free awesome breakfast, comfortable rooms this is our go to hotel. read more

This is going to be our go-to hotel whenever going to Disney now. The amenities are top notch - free breakfast (delivered to your door!), complimentary self parking, coffee 24/7 in the lobby, fitness center, pool, fridge & microwave in your room, etc. They offer a shuttle to Disneyland as well, but the location makes it so that walking is faster. Plus, it's next to a 7-11 and all of the local restaurants, including Downtown Disney. Check-in and check-out were super easy, the rooms were very clean, people were constantly cleaning every inch of the place, including power washing the concrete, and trash was literally picked up from your doorway less than an hour after you put it out. The concierge who checked me in also remembered my name afterwards. That's 5-star service right there. Maybe some people would say it's a little pricey, but I would refute that based on neighboring hotels and their amenities. Can't wait to come back! read more

4.5 stars! Comfortable hotel within walking distance of Disneyland! This renovated boutique hotel was great for the price ($320 per night in December) and we would definitely stay here again. We stayed here for five nights and appreciated the close proximity to the parks/downtown Disney. The rooms were clean with soft beds, a refrigerator, and plenty of channels on the smart tv. We received housekeeping everyday which was so nice to come back to a clean room with fresh towels and linens. All staff were so kind and friendly. The hotel offers great perks like a complimentary extended continental breakfast that includes breakfast sandwiches, boiled eggs, assorted breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, make your own waffles/pancakes, coffee, tea, and juices. They also had complimentary water and fruit infused water in the lobby. Additionally, we used the complimentary shuttle to the parks which runs every hour. There is also a swimming pool and gym available. If you have mobility issues or have a lot of luggage, I recommend requesting a room on the first floor as there isn't an elevator - however, I believe if you ask at the front you can receive assistance with your bags. There is a small gift shop on site if you forgot any essentials but the hotel is also within walking distance of several stores including CVS and a 7 Eleven. My only complaint is the motel set up and if you walk around at night there are quite a few transient people on the streets surrounding the hotel. However, there is a security guard on site which gave some extra peace of mind. During the day it absolutely feels safe and there are lots of people also walking around to the parks and the nearby Anaheim garden walk. read more
