I will NEVER do business with Bank of American again…read more I had a home loan and HELOC with this corporation and after several years of a solid relationship, the true colors came out. They raised my Escrow a substantial amount without notification (against the law) and I received a call that I was late with my loan. My loan payments were automatically sent by my bank and they had been getting processed as scheduled, so this made no sense. I called, was told about my payment increasing by near 250.00 on a fixed rate loan and I was very surprised. I asked why, was told escrow went up and was given no real answer. I was told my home owners insurance increased and my property taxes increased as well. I dug deeper, sure my taxes went up 27 dollars and some change a year and my home owners insurance went up just under 50.00 per year. I called back and presented this information to B of A and was told that they always build in a buffer. I inquired as to why a near 3000.00 buffer a year and again, no real answer. I informed them I would not pay the extra without an audit and without proper notification detailing this, that I would make my standard payment every month. I always pay an extra 150 per month, so that should cover it anyway and I need detail in writing. It took me three months to get an audit (after I threatened litigation to the management team) and I was issues a refund of just over 900 dollars. The bank then reported me late on 2 months worth of payments due to not making the additional 250 per month, even through they were int he wrong and refunded me money. I have been fighting with them to remove these marks on my credit report, they won't. Again, I will NEVER do business with Bank of America again,

I was a loyal Bank of America customer until I started working with the people here…read more A few months ago, I tried to get a mortgage from this branch and worked with Devyn and her assistant Margie. When I first started the process, Devyn and Margie were great. Attentive and responsive..and always patient when answering my questions. When we were "good to go" for having our mortgage approved with BofA, things started going downhill. 1 month into the process, they tell me I can remove our loan contingency. Which we did. I was a nervous first time home buyer and followed up constantly..but they reassured me, "don't worry, it'll be fine. We're just waiting on this and that." They continuously reassured me that things were going smoothly. The process itself is tedious...but Margie made it worse. 2 months later and the two of them were asking us for everything all over again. Information we had already provided!! Top it off..Margie was flat out RUDE about requesting information. She would call and demand information..and treat us like we were idiots. Nervous and new buyers, yes. Idiots, I don't think so. Then 3 days before the day we are supposed to close escrow, they say they can't do it. The reason? The condo couldn't get approved because of HOA information we had provided 30 days earlier!! Why couldn't they have told us 30 days earlier that the condo couldn't get approved?? No, they had to wait until we were ready to move out..everything in our apartment was boxed up, we sold all of our furniture, and our lease could not be extended anymore. Obviously tons of questions come up, so I call and I write...but no one responds. No one answers my calls or returns me emails until after the contract expires. Because of how IRRESPONSIBLE these people were, we had NO WHERE TO LIVE. If they had told us, even a WEEK earlier, we would not have had to live out of a hotel for WEEKS until we could find and move into another apartment. Oh..and what happened to our deposit since they told us we could remove the loan contingency? We lost it...their sad argument was to say, "we said loan contingency, not condo contingency"...which if they had even LOOKED at the purchase contract they would see that there WAS NO CONDO CONTINGENCY. Tried writing a letter to the managers...they were just as bad. NONE of them even bothered to respond!! Proceeded to try corporate (if you write an email to the CEO..someone is actually monitoring it) to file a complaint..and they said it would be "documented". Yeah right. That really helped. NOT. Long story short, I freaking hate this place. Avoid Bank of America at ALL costs if you're looking to get a mortgage!! They are disorganized, rude, not accountable for their actions, and just plain irresponsible.

I thought I would never end up buying a house...so when I found my dream home just randomly driving…read moreby one day, I realized I didn't have any knowledge of how the process work. While my parents introduced me to a family friend who was a real estate agent, I had no idea how to go about finding a loan officer! After digging through Yelp/Google, I stumbled upon Meridox Mortgage that had stellar reviews and took a chance. I called Meridox and was put in touch with Trung Tran. I let him know that I didn't have any knowledge of how the house-buying process works, but he was incredibly supportive and assured me he would walk me through every step. I sent him my information in the evening and got the letter the next morning. My real estate agent used this letter to draft the offer...it was accepted! He even kept a close eye on the market and advised me when I should lock in the rate. From pre-approval to loan closing, it took just one month! Thank you Trung for being so diligent and patient in helping me secure my dream home!
