Every time I visit (initial, follow-up with general treatment, and follow-up with specific treatment) I always get to see and talk to Dr. Schwartz. Appointments don't take too long, however, I'm never rushed, can ask as many questions as I need, and she explains everything is detail. She's extremely thorough and kind (which is a nice touch when you're experiencing pain or discomfort). When I called the office for my MRI results I received a call back from Dr. Schwartz within 5 minutes. I should also note how WONDERFUL the rest of the office is, from the front desk to the nurses. I've only visited the Wisconsin Ave office which is in a large office building with other practices. Parking is $5 for the first hour and I've never needed more than 1 hour.

He put staples and screws in my foot, which I never knew until months later. I never saw any x-rays during the whole process. The surgery he did is so bad that my foot has been swollen for 9 months and is not healing properly. There is a second bunion on my small toe that he never took care of as well. This is almost one year and I will have to go through the whole process again, painful surgery, and off my foot for 4-6 weeks. I found him very pompous & cavalier, caring more for his ego than the recovery of the patient!

I told him that I power-walked 4-5 miles every day and he told me to "continue doing what you're doing"! Two months and $500 later, my burning sensation had not improved. So he decided to send me for an MRI only to find out I did not have tendinitis after all, but rather a stress fracture which I had most probably made worse by "continuing to do what I was doing". I ended up with a boot for 4 weeks after which I scheduled a follow up MRI for myself! His nurse has no apparent knowledge of what she's doing and the Office Manager tries to hold back information so patients can't submit for insurance. Overall terrible experience.

I initially saw him for orthotics. Dr Firestone was tireless in making sure that the orthotics were exactly right and called the manufacturer numerous times to have them modified until they were right for my foot. I also saw him for a painful toe. His treatment quickly and gently resolved the problem. Most recently a neuroma was causing pain and hindering my ability to take the long walks that I love. After carefully examining my foot and my orthotic Dr Firestone felt that a modification to my orthotic would help resolve the problem. Dr Firestone personally sent a picture to the orthotic manufacturer detailing exactly what he wanted done. He will contact me when they are ready. I know from my previous experience with him that he will not be satisfied until " he makes it right for me." Missing screenings like this can make you die. If screenings save lives, then missing them takes lives. You can't have it both way. This time she called in advance to make sure they had the order. She went in physically a 3 time. They refused to serve her. These rude as***les can't even bother to care about their patients enough to bother to tell them coming in. We lost over $300 worth of clocked wage time coming in to appointments where they had no intention of ever serving us. He sold me an antibacterial product despite the fact that I have a viral issue - wasting my money, because it won't solve my problem. I feel he prayed on the fact that I was desperate. When I tried to ask him questions he straight up didn't answer them, didn't explain what I should do to protect my foot, and was quite smug -- kind of making fun of me to my face. The physical site is gorgeous, parking is nearby (not free though) and it's metro accessible. It's clean, the staff are friendly and professional and they have an in-house lab which saves a trip to Lab Corp. Additionally, they now offer mental health services which is a nice bonus. If you need a prescription called in to your local pharmacy, you can request via their app or website. If you have a non-urgent issue and need advice, you can message a nurse or doctor for help. If you have an urgent (non-emergency) issue, you can usually get an appointment relatively quickly; scheduling through the app is very easy. The user interface is easy to navigate. Also, the staff don't try to "upsell" you in any way or pressure you to get an unnecessary vaccine or test. In closing, I highly recommend OneMedical. It's worth the annual fee (which isn't that pricey IMHO). There are locations throughout the country - and the network of providers at every location is superb.
