Stopped in starving after a 3 hour hike up the mountain. I was kind of skeptical about an Irish pub in New Zealand but my doubts were quickly washed away... with a cold Kilkenny lol.
The food is very authentic as everyone that works there is Irish. It is a solid spot with a great atmosphere and a welcoming vibe. It has that classic Irish pub feel--lively, cozy, and perfect for grabbing a drink after a long day of exploring the town.
The food is hearty and satisfying, with pub staples done well. The Guinness beef stew is amazing! The drinks selection is strong, especially if you're in the mood for a good pint of Guinness or Kilkenny, and the bartenders keep things moving even when it gets busy. It's a popular place, so there's usually good energy and a fun crowd.
Service can be hit or miss depending on how packed it is, which is really the only thing holding it back from a full five stars. That said, it's still a reliable go-to in Queenstown if you want a laid-back spot to eat, drink, and soak in the local scene.
