Sharp plastic that was in my Kolache
    Kyra B.

I normally love this place but this morning as I was almost done with my Kolache something sharp had stabbed my cheek. I pulled it out and it was a very sharp piece of plastic?!

This a great place for kolaches.. Never seen so many different kinds of them... I really want to try there boudain kolache. Great atmosphere nice cozy to enjoy your breakfast.

I found this piece of tape inside the kolache after taking a bite. Some of the ink bled into the ham. Pretty gross.

Average tasting kolaches with long drive thru wait times. Was in the area and spotted this place.

I picked the Italian Cream, and OH MY GOOOODDDDDNESSS, this might have been one of the best cupcakes I have every had (and I have had way too many cupcakes in my lifetime). But, I was surprised to see they have more than these sweet treats. That should have been obvious because of all the savory smells when I walked in (although a little confusing in a cupcake shop). They offer chicken salad, both as a sandwich or in a small container. But there is so much more than that. They offer grab & go meals that I believe change daily; some examples that we saw on the board that day - bacon fried cabbage with sausage, creamy chicken Alfredo tortellini soup, poblano southwest pimiento cheese, Chicken and Dumplings, Homemade Chicken Spaghetti, and several other options. There are also keto options available. Tried both the original and the Harvest Chicken Salad. The Harvest mix was excellent, will get it again. But the original was meh for me, I just didn't enjoy it. So my hint is, ask if you can sample it before you buy one of the chicken salads so you can find the ones that are best for you. And, do NOT leave without a cupcake - you will thank me later.

There is plenty of seating both inside and out. I remember there used to be some interesting paintings/murals on the walls years ago, but they've since painted over these, and I think that was an excellent choice The staff were exceptionally friendly. They have two counters open for orders so waits are never too long. The menu can be seen in bright lettering over these counters so you can make your choices as you wait. You will receive a number and the staff will bring your food to you. They also bus the tables The menu is extensive with entrees, salads, soups, pressed and regular sandwiches. I've always been impressed that this place offers sandwiches you can't find in just any cafe like French dips, Reuben's, Monte cristo's, Cubans, and many others One of the main draws is their bakery. They have so many cakes, pies, and cookies to choose from. Many of their confectioneries are displayed in a case at the register The portions are hearty and the flavors are on point. I always have a great time Some tips: Their cowboy and seven layer bars are incredible, but most people go for the red velvet cookies. I have tried many dishes here, and I've never been disappointed, but for years and probably for ever I will continue to choose the Saint Charles. It's phenomenal. Also, they cater, so, consider them for work events and parties Cheers!!

She was quick with our drinks and let us look at the menu for a few more minutes. Mom had the Green Tomato BLT, the Missus had the club sammich. But enough about their meals ... I want to review my meal. Their menu lists that the burger is on a brioche bun ... check that one off of the item list. A hearty patty is also placed inside of the bun and along with it are pickles, lettuce, onion and tomato. Check and double Check. Mayo is slathered on the buns, at just the right amounts that make it taste good, but not so much that it slides the innards of the burger all over the place making the chomping experience mushy. Flavors were good, I had just hoped the patty fit the bun a little better. The ratio was a bit more bun sided than oatty sided. My fries, crinkle cut, were seasoned well. Well enough that no ketchup was needed to dip them into for additional flavor. I would have liked a bit more crispiness from a double fry, but these were toothy enough to get a decent mouth feel. The meal for the three of is was about 47.00, so inflation has also hit my hometown dining places as bad as they have hit my current home near The Woodlands. Will i return to eat there the next time I visit Mom? If she wants to go, then yes, yes I would. I would also hit it alone just for their chicken fried steak or chicken. Ciao, Darrell

This bakery is big, clean, and centrally located. When you walk in you'll be greeted by two huge Greek statues and the aroma of fresh baked bread. They have staples like conchas-- of the regular and unicorn varieties both -- Marranos, cuernos filled with cream cheese, bread pudding, cookies, and cupcakes. They also have cakes topped with fruit that you can buy whole or by the slice. If you want a custom cake they can definitely hook you up as they accept orders and have consultations to meet your needs. As a side note , on the weekend they also carry Salvadoran style Tamales. Prices are reasonable and in my opinion better than Arrandas. The quality is always on point and can hold its own against other Mexican bakeries. Tepatitlan is a great addition to the area.
