The CNA's, nursing staff, PT and OT took great care of her needs and wants with no hesitation, they went out of their way to make sure she had what she needed when she needed it. So a huge thank you to this facility and staff!!

CNAs and nurses are the most effected, CNAs get loaded with more patients, causing them to be burnt out. lets not talk about how they get treated, or get blamed for quality of care, when they don't have the proper staffing and support. the nurses get forced doubles, even with a meeting with administration nothing was really fixed, they are still short staff and drained. the weekends are the worst, nobody picks up the staffing phone, or admiration phone we are all left to fend for ourselves. It all starts with who in charge! Imagine Hitler with a vengeance, if your not with Leslie your against her, and how dare you voice a legit concern! She will come after you!! They don't care, if you disrupt there flow you will be retaliated against, instead of addressing the issues they try to hush it up, and they will find reasons to terminate you. there is no chain in command, Leslie has the first and last say, DSD and HR just shut up and carrier our what she asks. The DONs know Leslie behavior is out of pocket but don't say anything and help her falsify and change documentation. The definition of Nepotism in the workplace is "the practice of leaders or decision makes showing favoritism to family members or close friends, by granting them jobs, promotions, special treatment." the facility is ran by Nepotism, the DON and DSD are family and if you complain that the DSD Gary is behaving in inappropriate behavior, its overlooked and you get taken off the schedule. The DSD is never available and when he is on the floor he's so busy flirting and trying to see who he can sleep with next. So if you want stuff done expect to flirt with him and, do for him, so he can do for you. He's never there on time, and when does choose to come in he looks like he's high and just woke up, he has all the excuses on why he was late. (but CNAs and nurses get write up if there one minute late or leave one minute early.) but its ok because he's the DON's nephew, and guess what they hired more of there family!!!! He has failed to complete multiple CNAs rectification paperwork, forcing a few people to quit. It doesn't stop there, everyone has family hired there WITHOUT proper experience, but because mom works there "you automatically qualify" The jobs are never properly posted for in-house to apply and when you find out about the possibility to apply and be promoted to that "open" position you find out a "my shi* don't stink " from the "hire ups clicks" child got the job, . Nepotism.. Use every day people who work hard and are dedicated to this company for years are always hit with threats, told we need to work even harder, never celebrated, or appreciated. Wanna touch on racism, and retaliation across the board, suggest the owners speak to the CNAs and nurses. there's a lot of hidden issues at this facility, and at the patients cost. wanna be higher than a 2 star facility go directly to the source, asked the CNAs and nurses, some will be afraid because of fear of retaliation, and some will be happy to finally be heard. we are not all here for the money. The owner should take some time and spend it in his building, might be worth the investment, but suggest not such an "arms crossed" corporate presence, but be humble. From a few frustrated employees .

My orthopedic doctor found I have developed arthritis in one of my hands. I learned about my hands and apparently this condition is common among women. I went through the evaluation and assessment procedure. It was great because I learned a lot about my hands. As a professor, I taught and trained students for 22 years. I always wanted to give students feedback to ensure they understood the material I was teaching. As a Supervisor of student teaching I worked hard to give written comments about their teaching. All that handwriting impacted my hands. Anyway, this is a great place to get physical therapy for my hands. More later.

She quickly got to know and identified his needs- I had never seen my son calm down and focus like he did on our second session. We've been to other OT's, but worked to come back and work with Priscilla as soon as we could. She had truly helped us understand our child better, and forever changed our lives in the process.

My father entered this facility with documented "good rehab potential." Until only weeks earlier, he had been ambulatory and self-sufficient. Yet almost immediately, Dr. Cha repeatedly dismissed his worsening condition as simply "old age." What we witnessed felt less like compassionate rehabilitation medicine and more like an elderly patient quietly being written off. One physician later intervened with IV hydration and steroids after recognizing a serious decline in my father's condition, and we saw noticeable improvement. Yet shortly afterward, according to staff, the IV was removed despite my father struggling to swallow even water. Communication with the family was deeply inadequate despite staff knowing my father spoke no English and communicated only in the Calabrian dialect of southern Italy. He was therefore heavily dependent upon proper medical oversight, attentive observation, and honest communication with family members advocating on his behalf. The medical records later obtained by our family contained troubling inconsistencies, contradictory notes, omissions, incorrect dates, and even the wrong gender in one report. Most heartbreaking of all was the feeling that my father was no longer being treated as someone worth fighting for. Despite ongoing weakness and COVID symptoms, he was discharged to a skilled nursing facility instead of receiving higher-level hospital care. Two days later, he was dead. After reading numerous prior reviews of San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, I was deeply disturbed by how many experiences closely resembled our own concerns regarding patient care and Dr. Cha's medical oversight. Multiple reviewers described issues involving medication management, poor communication, dismissive behavior toward family advocates, questionable treatment decisions, and inadequate patient care -- concerns that strongly parallel what is documented in our records. My concerns are not speculative. I possess extensive medical documentation, medication records, physician notes, timelines, and related evidence that I believe demonstrate serious negligence involving Dr. Cha and, by extension, San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. What is especially troubling is the consistency between our documented experience and the accounts already publicly described by multiple other families here. Because these matters are supported by substantial documentation, I am willing to privately share relevant records with legitimate investigators, attorneys, licensing authorities, journalists, or families seeking information regarding this facility. If others experienced similar issues and wish to compare records or discuss concerns privately, they may contact me. Patients and families deserve transparency, accountability, and safe medical care. I would never entrust a loved one to this facility.

During the evaluation, the occupational therapist, who happens to be the owner, diagnosed my son with sensory processing disorder. Later on I discovered that she does not have the ability to diagnose; that's the pediatrician or child psychologist's job. Therefore, for a few months I took my son to her under the pretense that he has this disorder. I doubted it, but I kept taking him there just for peace of mind and under the impression that this therapist was a professional. Boy was I wrong! At each session, my son would play on the swings, with balls and other toys, etc and the only criticism she ever had of my son was that he would say "no" to some of her requests to play with something else, or do another activity. She would speak to me with a condescending tone when discussing this, and she basically made it seem like it was all my fault that he behaved this way. She would say things like "I know he's only 3, but if this behavior continues, he'll have problems with the authorities when he's a teenager!" I should have taken my son out of there then, but I optimistically kept going until this following incident: During one session, my son was in a bad mood and didnt want to do therapy. I could hear him crying and screaming from the waiting room. I asked the receptionist if I should go in and she said to wait it out. 30 minutes later, the therapist ends the session and asks to speak to me privately. She tells me that my son was acting horribbly and wasn't obeying and listening to her and the only way his behavior stopped was when she told him she's going to "SPANK HIS BOTTOM" if he didn't stop crying!!!! WTF??? I was tempted to fly across the table and kick the living s***'out of her! Instead I calmly asked her what she did and she said she has said this to other kids and the bad behavior has always stopped!! I said what were you going to do if he didn't stop because you obviously cannot lay a hand on him on him unless you want to be sued! And she obviously had no answer for that and no apology! She also sent me a bill for that session for which i wrote the check with a big F*** you on it! I told her I would report her to the pediatrician who recommended her to me and in whatever other public forum I can find, so no one else has the same experience I did! How she is in business is a mystery! Bottom line; don't send your kids to this psychopath!!
