ARE YOU WANTING CHANGE? ARE YOU SCARED?…read moreARE YOU STRUGGLING? I said yes to all.... I am now grateful for a group of people striving towards a common goal. 1st steps staff are not career driven, they are purpose driven. Purpose of saving lives one gathering at a time , one class at a time, and most importantly one heartfelt relatable story at a time. The first step into their front door started with a warm welcoming followed with the staff working with my schedule, allowing me to continue being productive, not tampering with my emotional state creating additional triggers. They are solution based! As a lost soul, drinking as an alcoholic for 31 years, while attempting various programs, destroying relationships, and needing change... Finally something worked!!!! The notable staff..... Kim, a friend, a mentor, a leader, a hand out for help, a genius, a warm heart, has been an element of the glue that has kept me stuck in sobriety. My wife looks forward to her words of encouragement and wisdom. Kim I respect tremendously, I'm so happy she has been placed in my life. Sue, soft composition and passion for spirituality helped me grow. Accepting progress not perfection, her way of asking for one to share always allowed the emotional poison to be released. She helped me see my existence, moving in the direction of realization "I am somebody". Mathew, a brother from another mother. Exactly that! A brother to keep it real, provide a share of reality. Things people/I need to hear, helps with my reality check. He encourages the embracement of the situation, and it works.Colleen, respectfully intelligent, well spoken, and dedicated to the topic at hand. The respect she shows, the respect she gets, the respect of education made me sit down and listen. Her flawless presentations were always engaging. She helped/helps my marriage succeed. This is the place to be, to help with a needed Life Change.... The people of First Steps have helped change my life in a positive direction.. The sessions were ways to "Wet my Whistle" for various other avenues and supportive groups to maintain and cope with what comes along with sobriety. I can truly say I love these people. They have been put on this earth for you, you right there reading this!! Make the step, make the 1st step...... You want what we have, than get started, don't wait... I love this place, if asked I'd be honored to share with the world and be their spokes person.... If it worked for me it will work for you. Forever grateful, Brian G

After my…read moreconcerns were raised, my mother's missing item was returned, and the staff made a genuine effort to ensure she felt comfortable and supported. That meant a great deal to her and to our family. My mother is in rehab and relearning how to walk, and she now feels safe, respected, and cared for. The rooms are clean, the food is genuinely good, and most importantly, the staff have been kind and attentive, which has had a very positive impact on her mood and recovery. I appreciate the steps management and staff took to address the issue and restore trust. Based on how things stand now, my mother is happy with her care, and that is what matters most.

I have no way to check on my friend!! She has no way to call anyone to calm her down when she is upset. I was told to go buy her cell phone. 1. She doesn't know how to use a cell. 2. She cant see a cell phone! 3. Cell phones cost a lot of money she lives on SSI only can't afford a cell phone thats why she doesnt have one!!My dad is same way he drives at 80 but can not figure out a cell phone to save his life. This is awful you just pull family away!! Shame on you Willow Creek its hard enough to be there but now your really leaving patient alone. May have to find another facility but probably stuck there to.

Before the first person got there in the morning, My dad fell cause they didn't go help him after calling out 3 times. (Heard by his roommate) He was found wet as well as his bedding, due to lack of staff to help him! He had back surgery and they know what he's in there for, it's been a week! He's 86 yrs old, thank goodness he has a room mate that heard it all. Don't leave your loved ones unattended! At first they didn't want anyone staying. All of a sudden they r making allowances! Not consistent from nurse to nurse, they don't document properly. No effective communication between nurses, patients and family. Thus we, the family, r the advocates for our loved ones. The family is supposed to be learning how to help him when he gets back home, after healing from back surgery. What good r the nurses when they don't instruct or practice what they're supposed to be teaching the patient so they could be independent again at home. Care quality and staffing need improvement big time! Don't take them there if u don't have to. Be there no matter what! Thanks for reading this.

I was screaming because I couldn't take the pain. I explained what happen. Guess what , she said that my leg didn't touch the ground. and then told me ( so your refusing therapy) I said no I'm not , I can't do it because of the pain caused by the negligence of your coworkers that were here today. well she put down that I refused and next day I'm told I'm down for discharge. Not one nurse, Doctor, case manager, OT, PT, ever looked into this situation. I told all of them and it was totally ignored. here I am still suffering , I had bars and screws in my leg when they dropped it (yeah maybe it didn't touch the ground but it was not suppose to bend. Everyone there was very nice, kind and professional in the way they treated me. They were all on my side and supported me. This ranged from the janitors through the executive director. This was especially true of the nurses and CNAs. I did come in with a positive attitude. That was reflected by everyone I was involved with. Whenever I had a question it was answered. Requests for help from the nurses and CNAs were promptly answered. I was well taken care of. The stars of the place were the rehab team. Every weekday I was helped to work with weights to build up my strength and stamina. Also we worked hard on walking. I was constantly encouraged in my desire to build up and expand my abilities. They helped me get my life back and for that I am grateful. I saw the same excellent care given to the guys I shared the room with. The physical facility was well kept up, neat and clean. If I ever had to this again, I would want to come back.

"could hive this place MINUS I would. DO NOT & I REPEAT, DO NOT, put anyone in here If you love them. This is place is DISGUSTING! They LIE, SNEAK & COVER. Upon arrival, we were NOT greeted by Staff (Admin nor a Social worker) we weren't spoken to about how things worked there, we werent given a tour, no Welcome paperwork. Nothing was explained to us. My Mom was treated so badly here. They had people from MAINTENANCE (a man who had a brain injury from an accident) brushing my Moms hair, FORCE FEEDING HER, food that was too hot. On days my Mom did NOT want to shower, they LIED to her saying they called her Daughter (ME) & that I told them to make her shower. My Mom cried all the way down the hall (my mom had a stroke and was immobile). When these issues where brought to up to her Social Worker, they then sent in Psyche to do an eval (which no phone call was made to me about-which by law they are supposed to do), tried making it out that my Mom was SUICIDAL (another lie). This place is SICK! I YANKED MY MOM OUT as soon as that happened. If my hands werent so full, i would of filed a complaint with the State. Do NOT TRUST these people with someone you love. I wont even get into the things we witnessed happening with other patients in this Facility. Their license should be pulled! Im sure Im missing a lot of other things we went through, Im doing this review on a whim. And Nurses WILL drill the Families for info, then later use that against the patient and make it seem like the patient gave them all of the information. They play DIRTY!!
