I took in the paperwork & set up my first appointments prior to my surgery. I cannot say enough about all of the Physical Therapists that helped me. Their evaluations & therapy were timely and exactly what I needed for range of motion & straightening of the leg. Their massage therapy and manual manipulation were over the top...exactly what I needed. The exercises were increased as needed in a timely manner. PT staff was excellent and provided great care for me and my son, but the billing department is difficult to deal with. We brought to their attention the fact we had been overpaying our out of pocket expenses each visit, first we were met with skepticism and was told that it would be looked into, but it wasn't and I left several messages for the billing team and zero response. We then got the insurance involved, they called and also got voicemails and left several messages with zero response. I called back again, talked with front office at Maple location, was told we did in fact have a credit owed and billing would reach out to me...again no communication from their billing office. Called today to be told yes we do have a credit, we were waiting on insurance payments on your last visit, keep in mind that was a visit we did not make a payment on because we were owed a large refund. So now we are told that a check will go out tomorrow? And we have yet to receive any invoices or an itemized statements per our request from 4 months worth of visits. I'm suspect to say the least. read more

First let me start off by saying that this is the best Physical Therapy in the Central Valley!!! If you want good quality care, this is the place to be for postop/rehab therapy. Mike Martines and his whole staff are amazing. I have been going to Advanced Physical Therapy for three years now and I have never had a bad experience once. The staff is outstanding and the aides are great in assisting with my therapy. My therapist Mike has always accomodated me and my needs, I am very satisfied with the improvement I have made and continue to go back because of the care I receive. Please note that I have a very busy schedule and Mike and his staff go out of their way to accomodate times and days for me, so that I make each one of my appointments. I never have trouble with finding times and days to come in for therapy, the receptionist always works with my hectic schedule (God Bless her). I travel from Merced just to go to therapy and the drive is certainly worth it. Some of the many benefits of going to Advanced Physical Therapy is the culture, element, energy, staff, and patient care that I receive. I have never received such outstanding care from a physical therapist before. They make me feel comfortable and I know I can be myself and in return receive the care I need in order to heal. I have been in when it is extremely busy and when it is slow and I continue to get the same quality care no matter how fast paced it is or how slow it is. Everytime I go in, it is like the first time, very welcoming. From the time I walk in to the time I walk out, everyone is so friendly and talkative. I especially love how they call you to remind you that you have an appointment with them, this is a great feature and with my crazy schedule I tend to forget from time to time. I am extremely grateful for all the staff and especially Mike Martines who is my awesome therapist. Both facilities are updated and full of new equipment to work with, which beats having to go to the gym. This is a one stop shop (therapy and fitness). Did I mention that is also fun and the staff engages in the workouts, very exciting!!! I recommend all family and friends to experience the care I have received over the years and I will continue to spread the word of Advanced Physical Therapy for years to come. These guys rock. The aids and the physical therapists are hard working and accommodating here unlike my terrible experience at Barrows PT. I left Barrows PT after three sessions and went here. I'm so glad I walked out of there and came to these guys. They adjusted my exercises and made them challenging for me because I'm healing very well. I have no pain and have complete range of motion and I appreciate their attention on making the exercises challenging for me so I can start working on getting my strength back in my quad. Mike and Alisa are great. :) By the way the equipment is up to date and the facility is very clean. Barrows has out dated equipment and the aids lack training. I've recently had several weeks of physical therapy at this practice, and I'm pleased to say the experience was very nice. The office is newly remodeled, and staff is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. The only drawback (and this isn't the fault of the business itself, but take this as an FYI) is that the parking is minimal and can be pretty cutthroat in the mornings! Let's face it: physical therapy is seldom fun and often hard work. But if you have to endure it, this is about the best place to go! read more

This office was recommended by my orthopedic's office. One of the assistants said that her husband had used this office after his surgery and the outcome was great. Taking her advice, I called the office. Olivia the receptionist is extremely friendly. The therapy assistants are very personable and helpful. They want to help you recover to the fullest extent possible. I was seen by Nick, Rob, and Alicia for treatments. These are the actual therapists. All very knowledgeable. I decided to give Advanced Therapy (Maple Location) a try after discussing with my primary doctor the chronic back pain I experience. I also have obvious posture problems and was hoping to find a place that would help me train my body to move properly. I am thirty years old, extremely busy, and prone to avoid exercise at all costs. My goal was to receive support from knowledgeable people as I built a habit of attending to my fitness by training for stability and core strength. I thought to myself, "Hey, I can do this about 5 or 6 times and get into the habit of just doing it on my own". Still, I wanted their help because my posture is in pretty bad shape. Everything was great until my fourth visit. Let me begin by saying that I did NOT ask to be scheduled. The receptionist was scheduling me into the calendar and I was running with it because I knew my motives. Well, on the 4th visit, I immediately felt like melting because the staff was very rude to me. Unwelcome is not even the word. I did notice that they were busier than usual BUT I DID NOT PENCIL MYSELF INTO THEIR CALENDAR! All I did was accept the dates that were given to me the last time I was there. I had just finished my assigned stretches when I saw the therapist walk in and roll her eyes (I imagine because I don't have a broken arm or broken collar bone) and the assistant made a joke about me not missing. I honestly felt like disappearing. Being the humble person that I am, I proceeded to make my way to a room as instructed by another assistant who had no clue as to what had just happened. The therapist walks into the room and says "Look at your horrible posture". Don't get me wrong, I was grateful for the comment because, immediately, it made me sit up straight but I was a bit embarrassed because I do not wake up in the morning and decide to sit awkwardly or move in ways that compromise my health. Not to mention, I was not supposed to be there. Get this, she brought up my taxes twice! I am not sure if she was telling me to make my taxes instead of going there or if she was telling me that I should look over my finances so as to decide for myself to stop spending money there. Either way, I knew that I would be cancelling the remaining days provided to me by the front desk, even before taxes were brought up. I was very thankful that I had found a community of professional who would help me move properly and build flexibility as well as stability. So much, actually, that I would drive from an hour away on the days that were assigned to me. In retrospect, maybe I should have hired a personal trainer or a chiropractor for my specific needs. However, a patient should never have to feel unwanted or shunned. I know that if I were irritated by someone showing up over lower back pain and postural problems, being the knowledgeable therapist, I would explain to my patient (because, after all, the stupid guy is still my patient today) that it is in his best interests to visit with a fitness trainer if I am looking to rebuild core strength and good posture. I might even recommend a few people. None of that was even hinted. Instead, she sloppily showed me a stretch that I had enjoyed just one week ago. I was beginning to feel the difference in my legs and lower back. If she knew that I saw her roll her eyes earlier, I think she would have not been as obvious in her gestures but, unfortunately, she was just adding insult to injury (no pun intended). The good news is that, one way or another, I found out that physical therapy is probably not what I need. At the end of the day, I appreciate their time and I appreciate what they do for those who have broken their bones or have suffered through other very serious accidents. In fairness, however, I do not think it is professional, polite, or even acceptable to make a customer feel unwanted. BE HELPFUL TO THE PERSON BY COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY LIKE A PROFESSIONAL THAT YOU ARE INSTEAD OF MAKING SOMEONE REGRET EVER SEEING YOUR ADDRESS ONLINE. Honestly, what's wrong with referring me somewhere else? Even if you laughed and said it, I'd be perfectly okay with it. Heck, I'd probably even apologize and thank you. Anyways, this is behind me. I just thought I should post this review as closure because, at the very least, they should read this post and know that I just look stupid. Customer service is always a priority. I don't care if you're filing someone's taxes or helping them physically. Some rules don't change and this is one of them. I thought about going directly to the owner, but I am not a bad guy. I'll take it to the chin and learn from it. You won't catch me at a physical therapy clinic over chronic back pain anymore. I can tell you that. read more
