He will spend the time to make sure you understand "why" you are in pain, and "how" to alleviate and correct the problem(s). He guided me, treated me, then provided me with easy-to-follow instructions on how to do the exercises and stretches at home. Mike has a great personality and truly cares about you as an individual and not a number. He gives you 100% of his attention and he spends a good 30-40 minutes working on you. Every session was personalized to how I was feeling that day. Both facilities are clean, updated and the equipment is all new. The patient rooms are very bright, large and have windows that look to the outside. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to everyone. The atmosphere is fun, and you can immediately tell that everyone enjoys being there. The staff motivates you with each exercise and watches to make sure you are doing them correctly. Nick and Jacob are both EXCELLENT techs. I plan to see Mike whenever I'm in the area, and I'd highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking to overcome physical discomforts or chronic pain.

After waiting nearly 4 months from the first time I called to schedule and multiple calls with the office staff to schedule all of my appointments, then reschedule multiple appointments before even meeting a therapist or being assessed, because they had mistakenly scheduled me with the wrong therapist... I came in and found a cold, distant older woman at the front desk. Katinka. She looked at me awkwardly and then asked "yes?" When I gently smiled and told her my name she stared at her computer screen for a long time and then began to inform me that they had moved all of my appointments. As I began to share there were conflicts in my schedule (because I have 3 kids and work full time and had already made arrangements according to what they had scheduled, she was annoyed. She then said "you're aware you are out of network and will be paying cash..." I was confused from what had been explained to me. The condescending and annoyed tone made me extremely uncomfortable. At one point she seemed to have shifted gears in an attempt at kindness when she commented on my beautiful hair color. However, by that time, any sense of comfort or safety was gone. If you need a vulnerable kind of therapy, it ought to feel like a safe and welcoming place. That is exactly what I did not find here. I canceled all of my appointments and walked out. Too bad that Katinka, who may be a great medical biller lacks warmth, candor or a professional style and keeps people from seeing what may be fantastic therapists. I had a fantastic experience with Drysdale Physical Therapy over the 14-15 appointments I had over…read morean almost five month span. I had a lower back injury/disc issue with immense pain that was so bad it actually resulted in my going to the hospital, and culminating with a referral to Drysdale Physical Therapy. I am so glad I did. Dr. Drysdale is a personable, kind man who really cares about his patients and sincerely wants to get to know them and help get them back on track and pain free. You can see his sincerity and rapport with his patients in how they greet him when they walk in for their appointments (and I noticed some repeat patients like myself on multiple occasions). There's a feeling of genuineness and sincerity in his interactions with his patients and his staff; they all seem to genuinely enjoy working together and with their patients. His staff is very friendly, and I love how they are an energetic and motivated team--especially at 7:00 am! His team of PTs, massage therapists, and assistants were so helpful in getting me back to a "0" pain level and being able to walk, exercise, lift objects, work, etc as I did before I was injured. You won't regret going to Drysdale PT. A couple of things to note: First, you won't see Dr. Drysdale at every single appointment because of the number of patients and staff he has to supervise, which is completely reasonable. I have met some people who are kind of entitled and only ever want to be seen by the guy whose name is on the building, which in my opinion is an unreasonable expectation for a patient to have. However, this was never a problem because his other therapists are amazing! Also, Dr. Drysdale will see you during intermittent progress checks that you have after a certain number of appointments. So you'll never feel "neglected." Second, Dr. Drysdale warned me at the first appt that there would be an initial period where the pain would likely increase after treatment started, and then slowly get better. This was true for me. So if you don't see improvement immediately, I really recommend you trust the process and not get frustrated or think it isn't working. I had very tangible positive results after about a month, started to feel better and reduced my appointments, then had a recurrence of pain, and went back for another two months and am now pain free. Thank you Dr. Drysdale, and all of your staff for your help! I would trust you and your staff with taking care of me and my family without hesitation!

Their PTAs, especially Miriam, make you feel understood and well cared for. They consider what will best improve their patient's lives not only short-term, but long-term. Even their massage therapist, Nessi, provides personalized care. Their aides are also always alert and attentive, assisting with exercises or setting up modalities. PT George and PT Lee have loads of experience and prioritize their patients. They can evaluate your symptoms and provide education to help you improve. Everyone here is so welcoming even when it is busy. Even though I have never been referred to the PT, the providers and staff have adjusted to me. I know exactly what to expect each visit and each segment of my therapy is tended to by a truly caring individual who has my well being in mind at all times. The leg massage I get each session has really made a difference in the rigidity and pain in my leg muscles. The advice I get while doing my exercises has been quite helpful at home. The entire staff are a pleasure to work with. The facility has a large open area for exercises you do on your own, guided by an assistant. It is kept very clean and every piece of equipment used is promptly cleaned before being put away. They have several private rooms for the sections of treatment that call for more privacy or personal attention by your therapist or assistant. And lastly, while the parking lot looks full, I have been able to park in the row of spaces next to the building and within steps of the front door at every appointment. With walking assisted by a cane, not having to walk across the parking lot has been wonderful.

From my initial contact to the therapy sessions, my back pain is now more manageable and almost pain free for most days. My therapist, Nicolas Watson did a great job recommending exercises and advice in managing the care of my back. Office staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I'm glad I came to Barrows for my back pain.
