    Red carpet exit.

I've worked for Orchard Post Acute for nearly two years and like most jobs, there are up and there are down. However, the ups outweigh the downs and I've had a great experience overall. What I appreciate the about this building is the workplace culture and the ability to know all the residents. OPA is a 98-bed facility which makes it easier for staff to get to know all the residents by name and build relationships.

Not organized. So many staff just walking around. Call light ringing for 10 mins, I timed it. Dirty.

My dad has been carefully monitored by the CNAs, nurses, the Assistant Director of Nursing (Dolores) and his attending physician.

Beware - physical therapists are great but the billing department is fraudulent. They collect…read morepayments from you up front and collect payments from your insurance but will not refund your money if you stay as a patient. So, we cancelled further appointments. This "double collecting" is worrisome as a majority of the patients I saw there were elderly. They also keep your credit card on file to charge so there is no reason to not refund previously paid charges. It took 13 weeks, 4 phone calls and a visit to the office to get my refund. They also directly lied to me about mailing a refund check. Their phone calls say they are recorded so they would have proof of them telling me the date of a check being sent that never was.

The staff are all knowledgeable and caring, making me feel like they took a genuine personal interest in my recovery -- which they did. I was blessed that Jorge, Kevin, Paul, Kylee, Maria, Xochitl, and Erin all worked together to make it a terrific experience, giving me the support and confidence to become active again. I would recommend GBPT to anyone looking for outstanding and caring therapy!

He was supposed to recover there and return home, but because they failed to properly monitor his catheter, he developed a severe infection. He was transferred back to the community hospital, and the infection entered his bloodstream. Ultimatley, he passed away. At one point, we spoke with the director in charge late in the day. While we voiced my concerns, she didn't even make eye contact--she packed her bag, shut down her computer, and got ready to leave. It was clear she had no real interest in addressing the issues, and that moment reflected exactly why the facility runs the way it does--with indifference and a lack of accountability. They never followed directions, and any time I asked questions, no one knew the answers. They blamed the previous shift instead of taking responsibility. No family should have to suffer a loss because of such neglect. I urge others to stay far away from this facility. Their inaction cost my grandfather his life.

After waiting nearly 4 months from the first time I called to schedule and multiple calls with the office staff to schedule all of my appointments, then reschedule multiple appointments before even meeting a therapist or being assessed, because they had mistakenly scheduled me with the wrong therapist... I came in and found a cold, distant older woman at the front desk. Katinka. She looked at me awkwardly and then asked "yes?" When I gently smiled and told her my name she stared at her computer screen for a long time and then began to inform me that they had moved all of my appointments. As I began to share there were conflicts in my schedule (because I have 3 kids and work full time and had already made arrangements according to what they had scheduled, she was annoyed. She then said "you're aware you are out of network and will be paying cash..." I was confused from what had been explained to me. The condescending and annoyed tone made me extremely uncomfortable. At one point she seemed to have shifted gears in an attempt at kindness when she commented on my beautiful hair color. However, by that time, any sense of comfort or safety was gone. If you need a vulnerable kind of therapy, it ought to feel like a safe and welcoming place. That is exactly what I did not find here. I canceled all of my appointments and walked out. Too bad that Katinka, who may be a great medical biller lacks warmth, candor or a professional style and keeps people from seeing what may be fantastic therapists. I will take my business elsewhere and perhaps you should too
