This was our first time at this very interesting and charming establishment. Nestled in the heart of Clarence Hollow, it offers a unique mixture of Polish and Italian food, both of which they seem to do equally well. The pierogies are nice, but despite ordering both potato and cheese, we only got cheese pierogies, which were stuffed with a sort of non-salty feta cheese, or perhaps a non-sweet ricotta cheese, I'm not sure which. We had stuffed banana peppers were unique and did not contain the usual cream cheese stuffing, but rather an all meat and rice stuffing, topped by red sauce. Quite flavorful. The brussels sprouts were very interesting, with the cranberry raisins, onion, and bacon mixture and cut the long The brussels sprouts were good with the cranberry raisins, onion, and bacon mixture and cut the long way rather than straight across. I had a Polish beer, which was bitter, which I tend to prefer, more reminiscent of a dark stout in flavor, but clearly having a light color and texture. The wine menu is limited, but my wife selected a Chianti because she couldn't get a Malbec. Bread comes right to the table with a sweetened butter, and a very pleasant, dipping oil with balsamic vinegar so we didn't order any of the delectable appetizer breads they have on the menu. They also brought over a will put together family style salad with a tasty vinaigrette. We ate at the bar because the main restaurant was packed full even at the early 5:15 PM hour, so we took a seat at the bar where the bartender Jimmy was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and timed our meal, so that appetizers and starters and main courses Didn't clutter up the limited bar space. My wife very much enjoyed the pickle soup, but it just wasn't for me. The timed service by our attentive bar tender/waiter worked well and we can thank Jimmy for a lovely experience. It was a little pricier than we expected, but not outrageous. Dinner for two with appetizers and alcohol ran about $110. read more

Definitely a cool place to check out. Service was great. For us, food just seemed to have a spice/flavor that just was "off". We had a polish dinner that had everything on it so we could try all the things and the Mamas Gnocchi which was just was too overpowering with a very strong blue cheese, nothing like I have ever had in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The tables salad was our favorite part of the meal, so fresh and the house dressing was great. read more

The food was amazing all made from scratch, the service was fantastic. Our waitress was very kind and patient and knowledgeable. The ambiance was so warm it was an old church , it was so cute it was a great experience read more

We had a reservation this past Saturday evening. Our table was not ready when we arrived so the hostess requested that we wait at the bar and she would find us in a brief moment. That was totally fine however we waited a half hour and had to then go back to check on the status of our table. The hostess did not seem to recall our conversation at all...had no idea how many people were in our reservation... and had no recollection that we had been waiting as she requested. There was no apology offered & the hostess pointed to a nearby table where the plates were half full and said maybe they'll be done soon. There are three other fantastic restaurants within feet away on Main Street.... this was our first visit and in the future we will go to the other establishments. read more

I went to Morluski's Saturday night with my sister-in-law, who had been dying to try it. We both loved it! It is located in an old church, and the inside is just gorgeous. Everything is rustic and so cute. The food itself was also so delicious. Since we were in the mood for Polish food, we both got the Pole plate, and added on the extra pierogies. First out came the salad and bread. The salad was probably my least favorite part of the meal. Served family style, it was fine and the balsamic dressing was good, but nothing too exciting. The bread though...so soft and pillowy and delicious, especially with the oil and vinegar and also with the honey butter on the side! The Pole plates themselves were also amazing. I had the smoked sausage, which I always love, and the potato pancake was really good too. I subbed the sauerkraut for the seasonal vegetable (Brussels sprouts with dried cranberry and bacon), and these were possibly my favorite part of the whole meal! They also did not charge me for the sub. The pierogies had carmelized onions and I loved them too. We each had a glass of wine with our dinners, and still, the bill for the two of us with tip was $83 dollars, which I found super reasonable for how much food we got. Highly recommend trying this out! read more

Started out by passing the place, maybe the road sign is just missing. So if you go soon, it's in an old church. Plenty of parking. Walking in the place is beautiful and unique and creates a great ambiance. Service was attentive and knowledgeable We started with the martini flight. Red velvet, Sugar cookie and Hot chocolate. Excellent idea by the restaurant , so diners could try them all. One of my favorite things. For dinner we had the steak special. Strip steak was cooked perfect and was really good and was paired well with the sweet potato mash. We also had the polish plate with the smoked sausage and father cheese pierogi. read more

Great food and service! They've got some pretty talented cooks in that kitchen! However the manager is not our favorite to deal with at this establishment... some costumer service training might be needed if they want to continue to make their costumers happy. read more

I love Morluski's!!! I have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Food is amazing. Polish and Italian options. Only suggestion would be to have a combo platter that includes options from both. Currently, you have to basically order a dinner that is Polish or Italian. The atmosphere here is gorgeous. It's an old church and is rustic inside. They have amazing lighting. There is balcony seating. It's my favorite area to sit but only accommodates small groups. Our servers have always been stellar and very attentive. Definitely a place I will continue to visit regularly. read more

Located in an old church on main street in Clarence, the atmosphere is quaint & really cool! The menu has italian selections on one side and polish selections on the back. Many options of delicious dishes! Polish pizza and Pierogi's are wonderful! The italian rustic pizza and antipasto are excellent too! After seeing the fish fry pictures online we decided that we couldn't wait until Friday to try them. I wish I would've gotten a picture of the size of the entire meal because it was soo big! It came in a normal small/med pizza box! The beer battered fish was great. Not super greasy and big enough to spilt with my 2 year old. I'm not usually a coleslaw person but there's was SOOOO good! The sides pasta and Mac salads were traditional Polish style. A great addition to Clarence can't wait to come here again! read more

This place had big potential with its combination polish and Italian menu, both things I love. I decided to start with some takeout soups, I went inside and while I waited for the soups and I looked at the menu. I thought the prices were a little steep but that I would still try them out, it would be worth it for homemade delicious food, so I intended to come back at some point. Then, my 2 quarts of soup plus one bowl of soup showed up I was charged $48. FORTY EIGHT DOLLARS for two quarts of Italian wedding soup, plus one bowl. I said, "how much is the soup??" They said they count it as four bowls, and it's five dollars per bowl. Mind you a typical bowl of soup is 12 ounces. A quart is 32 ounces, and as we know, never quite full. I still paid and took the soup because you know, Covid and everyone at restaurants is struggling.... but now, I won't be back, which is unfortunate. I was ripped off. The inside is adorable though. Shrug. read more

Aquaintences recommended this and it was worth looking into. Very lovely setting (set in a former church) and the atmosphere was fantastic as well as the staff. Family friends joined for dinner and we all ordered from the Polish menu and everything was delicious. All made from scratch food (even the butter for the bread), lovely decor on the walls, the flamingos inside and out, even the herb garden inviting people to "help themselves" were all top notch. Will come again and try their Italian cuisine. read more

Morluski's is awesome. Very cool way to deliver different takes on food -- Polish & Italian. If you are not in the mood for Italian pasta dishes -- just flip the menu over and you will enjoy pierogis, potato pancakes etc. We were there with a group of 6 and it was a blast. The owner (the polish side of the menu) was there and she visited with us at the beginning as well as the end as we were the last customers to leave. Our server, Megan, was super. She was a lot of fun, understood our humor and had no problem playing the game with us. Food. Oh boy it was good. Hard to list it all. My wife loved the pickle soup. I had the potato pancake & goulash -- excellent. I saw a pork chop and stuffed cabbage enter the table - plates were clean. The lone Italian in our group had a chicken fettuccine & he said it was great. We had 2 types of kielbasa for appetizers. I will say they were prepared as well as any I have ever had. Need to go back. I might try the Italian side of the menu...but maybe not. read more

Nice atmosphere. Interesting menu options. A bit over priced but you are paying for the ambiance. Service good (acceptable).

Another wonderful meal at Morluski's today! We were so sad when they left Attica for Clarence Hollow, but they are so worth the extra drive time. You have GOT to try Morluski's! read more

Morluskis is not perfect, but it's definitely unique and absolutely worth a visit. The building was clearly a church at one time, which certainly creates a unique environment. The interior is very nice, but decorated in a kitschy style which to me felt like it didn't quite work. It's such a dramatic space and to see toys and pink flamingos scattered about just seems odd. But even with that, it's a really cool environment. The food was good, but not great. I will say it's clearly homemade, which is nice. The potato pancakes were fantastic and the pierogis were good. Everything else was just ok. I ordered from the Italian menu and got the ravioli and was underwhelmed. The menu is limiting, in my opinion. You don't have a lot to choose from. I would like to see them expand beyond the Italian/Polish thing they do currently. Overall, I would recommend and I hope many people go as this has clearly been a struggle for them and it would be a shame if we lost a place like Morluskis. read more

Food was good but a bit pricey for the add on of pierogi considering their size. Service was good but I will say we felt rushed. The salad was fabulous but we don't have time to finish it as our entrees were delivered too quickly. Nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the music. Pricey for simple polish food, but again feed was good. read more

Great people that own and run the place, feels like home. Excellent, strong, creative, delicious cocktails that rotate through seasons. Very decent Polish food. Grand piano in dining area has been played a couple times when we were there by lovely skilled pianists. Nice outdoor patio with seating for nice weather days. Indoor decor is a little much for my tastes but that doesn't take away from the quality people, food, drinks, and atmosphere. read more

This restaurant came highly recommended. Service: very friendly; clearly many "regulars" come to bar and restaurant. Atmosphere: it's calm, and fun. The decor was properly kitschy for the Polish side of things, but not much for the Italian side. It was nice that there was a piano player was present, playing standards. Food: my Mother had no complaints about her potato pancakes and charred Brussels sprouts (which I meant to steal a bit of while they were still warm). My sisters fiancé had a pierogi platter that she said were delicious. My sister had Cajun broiled fish - which she felt did not taste "Cajuny" enough for her liking. For my part, I can speak to the bread, salad and golubki platter. The dinner bread was fresh baked, and rather like a sourdough / but not exactly - it was served with a honey butter, which was a good complement. The salad consisted of various greens, chopped tomatoes, cucumber and big red onion. The salad dressing was a choice of vinegarette or Caesar. It was served home style in a large bowl for everyone to share in; the salad was fresh. As for my golubki, I was not expecting a giant one! It was served on a bed of chunky mashed potatoes (which I really liked). The sizable meatloaf like beef and pork loaf wrapped in cabbage was well seasoned and good tasting. My issue with the dish was the sauce (gravy); it did not have enough of the traditional tomato taste (and I don't mean the Campbell's tomato soup style). I was just thinking the other day when I followed a recipe for Pennsylvania Dutch style pork chops, that the sauce for that would be perfect for golubki (the sauce was much tangier than I've ever had before). At any rate, their gravy was not bad by any means, but it could have been better. Overall, everything was reasonably priced, and I appreciated the duo menu. I would definitely return to explore the menu further. read more

My husband and I went for our first time last Friday. We were unaware that we needed reservations, the website doesn't say that they are necessary. We went around 4:30. There were around 4-5 people at the bar and only 1 table of 4 people, the rest of the restaurant was empty. The hostess seemed annoyed that we didn't have a reservation. However, we were seated and given a menu but nobody waited on us, asking if we wanted to start with a drink or an appetizer. We waited for a while and then got up and left. We passed by the hostess on our way out, she never acknowledged us leaving or asked us why we were leaving. This was our first and last time we will go here. We've been telling everyone we know about our experience. read more

I'll start off by telling you what was good. The specialty cocktail was good as was the salad and service. The atmosphere was very nice, but it was a little chilly since it used to be a church and it was quite open. The gentleman playing the piano was a nice touch. It's too bad that the food was terrible. Maybe it was our mistake for opting for the Italian side of the menu. Our server recommended the homemade pasta describing the noodles as thinner than linguine noodles. I'm not sure she meant thinner because they weren't thinner and they were only about an inch and a half long. They reminded me more of sort of egg noodles or egg dumplings. The pasta looked nothing like the pictures online or in the back of the restaurant showing they had won awards for their food. I got the red pasta which was a tomato sauce and opted for two meatballs. The server said the the meatballs were flavorful. They had flavor, but they were hard as bricks. The red sauce on the pasta tasted like they opened a can of tomato sauce and put 2 tablespoons on the bowl of pasta. Even if there had been enough sauce for the pasta, it was inedible. My friend ordered the seafood scampi. She said the shrimp and scallops were good but again she had the same type of noodles. There was no scampi sauce. It was just a heavy lemon flavor. There was no garlic or parsley. I didn't taste any butter or white wine either. When our server came over for the check back clearly we were not happy with our meals. We said that the sauces had no flavor. Although she was very nice and seemed good at her job, she did not offer to have the manager come speak with us or ask if we wanted to have something else cooked so we asked for some things to try to give our food flavor. She brought us garlic flavored olive oil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. None of that saved the food. I took my hard meatball home but left the the rest of the food untouched. My friend was a little more confident she could save her dish and decided to take it home to see if she could season it up. Bottom line, this place is way overpriced for what it is. Pasta with 2 meatballs for $27 is a little pricey even it was delicious. I will never be back even to give the Polish part of the menu a try. I just got back from Tuscany and it was my 4th time in Italy, so I know what it should taste like. Maybe they can send their staff over for some cooking lessons with a real nona. They advertise food "like mama used to make". I feel sorry for the kids who had to grow up eating that! read more

The venue is beautiful. The dining room and bar are really nice and the staff very pleasant. The food was spotty. The hot peppers appetizer were some of the best I've had. Got to get them! I had kielbasa w sauerkraut and mushrooms with noodles. Came only just warm. Was tasty, but a bit dry. My daughters liked their Alfredo. On the chicken parm, we didn't care for the red sauce. Overall, It is certainly worth checking out. The menu is expensive. I'll be visiting Morluski's again to try some other dishes. read more

Came in and was blown away beautiful building inside and out with great food can't find anything to say negative about the place

Although the food and beverages were interesting and above average, it was obvious that they don't care about their customers comfort, health or safety. Not a single employee wore a mask, yet the waitress continually leaned over us to place the food on the table. I was the one who needed to watch to see her coming, then put my own mask back on. She saw me doing this, but never thought to make us comfortable. When she was not around, my party enjoyed each other's company. But we felt very disrespected by the restaurant's disregard for our safety. read more

I did a lot of research of where to go for great polish food. The venue is adorable, old church and really cool. But that is where it ended. Our waitress was super nice and accompanying but it was obvious that there was not enough staff. Table was never bussed not refills on wine etc. The food was not bad, we had the pole plate. Good but not outstanding. Pergories thin but yummy. Potato pancakes cold and unremarkable, yummy sausage but overall just fair. read more

I went here with a group of friends last night. The one who chose this place decided not to come. That should've been a sign right then. This place is FAR from fabulous. I don't understand why this place has 5 star reviews. The venue: This place on the inside is completely mismatched and not in a good way. There's too much decor all over the place. It used to be an old church if you can imagine that. It could be cute if it wasn't so cluttered. Menu: The menu was disappointing and very underwhelming seriously only 6 choices on both Polish and Italian sides. Food: To me, the food was mediocre at best. I had the ravioli and it had too much sauce. The meatballs were good. The sauce was also sweet which is a huge NO in my eyes. My food also wasn't piping hot it was only warm. Lastly, how do you not have Diet Pepsi?? Overall: I'm torn between giving this 2 or 3 stars. I'm leaning more towards 2.5 stars. I wouldn't come here again. This place just wasn't IT for me. read more

Great Food. Great service. The hostess was terrible. Would not seat us at an open 4 top (which we understood at first) and told us to wait at the bar. She forgot about us and during to 30 minutes that we sat at the bar she seated several other couples who came in after we arrived at 4 tops and 2 tops. Did I mention we had a reservation. We ended up at a kiddie high top table upstairs. Everything else was great but the hostess (who I will not name) was absolutely clueless. read more

I decided to go back to Morluski's again this time with a large group from work. This is probably the best time I've had during this whole Covid thing. We had several drinks and a lot more laughs which made for the evening even better. There were six of us and most of us ordered something different as well as appetizers and dessert. We couldn't have asked for a better waitress .She was so informative and giving us all the specials and more than willing to give us samples of some of the beers before we ordered those. I chose a flight of cocktails knowing I wanted something creamy and what a pleasant surprise to have three different cocktails. A red velvet martini a Cocoa bomb and a sugar cookie martini as well started out my night. For appetizers we chose stuffed cheese bread and potato pancakes and shared them amongst the six of us. Both were excellent. The potato pancakes were right on spot and crispy served with sour cream and applesauce. I actually ordered an appetizer for my dinner which was the Polish pizza .The crust was their own bread on top with sautéed onions and mushrooms, smoked sausage ,cheese drizzled with ketchup! It may sound weird but it worked I was only able to eat one and the second went home for another night. Several people ordered the pool platter. One had smoked sausage and the other had the fresh. You can see from the pictures the large size and came with sauerkraut , potato pancakes and I believe one opted to also have pierogis. Two people chose the specials one was an asiago top steak served with sautéed vegetables and sweet potatoes and the other was sautéed vegetables pasta and chicken. Again I have to say no one complained about a thing. The Desserts were OK but the cheesecake was probably the best. Everything else so so. This is definitely a place you have to check out for yourself. read more
