I can't say enough good things about Moriah Property Management and its owners Aaron & Eileen Miller and the Maintenance team, Troy & Byan. If I could give them more than 5 Stars I certainly would. After we sold our house to move and be closer to family we found the perfect CLEAN & very well-maintained duplex for us. Little did we know finding the perfect place to live would also include finding the perfect landlords. There has never been a time that if we needed something done they have not gotten to our request promptly. It may sound like a cliché, but with the Millers it is true time and time again, they really do care about their tenants and they take pride in making sure things are done right and in a timely manner. During this time when our economy seems to be going crazy and prices are 'out of control,' for us, the rent is very reasonable for what we have. We have and will continue to refer others to Moriah Properties because we know no matter what property they manage, it will be clean, well maintained and be managed by professionals with experience, knowledge and genuine integrity. read more

This is a horrible company to work with, landlord included. When we went to view the property, Eileen, the property manager, failed to tell the "painters" that we were going to be there as well. Well, it turns out the landlord was there also. She was with her "painter" friends, but the landlord didn't want to disclose who she was. I could tell it was the landlord because she was showing us around from room to room and giving us a tour. The real reason she was there in my opinion, was to physically view the applicants. She looked uncomfortable, and stared a lot. She even asked me and my partner if we were married. This could be easily viewed as a discriminatory question. I am not sure why a "painter" would ask this question. Next, we don't have rental history, and our realtor told her that. Eileen suggested that we fill have out our applications, provide paystubs, and picture ID's. She said this was a preliminary review without an application fee. A few days later, she confirmed that our income was 3 times the rent. Keep in mind, she still hasn't run our credit or background check. Not once did she mention that the $1450 deposit would change as a result of no rental history. After determining the income qualified, Eileen said she was going to increase the deposit. I replied to her email and asked her how much it would be, and she said she would have to ask the landlord and get back to me again. I even told her if I could actually apply, she would see we both have clean backgrounds, and very high credit scores to show we are financially responsible people. However, she kept deterring us from applying, and kept giving us the run around. Finally, days later, Eileen called the realtor and said the deposit will be increased by an additional $500. The deposit was $1450, and would now increase to $1950. It bothers me that Eileen, as a property manager, appeared to have no interest in receiving our application as authorization to run our credit and background checks. Had she done so, she may not have increased our security deposit. In addition to the security deposit, she would only allow an initial 6 MONTH LEASE. Keep in mind, the listing states 12 months lease. Personally, I feel discriminated against. I can't seem to shake the feeling that she did not want my partner and I because of our race. Now that I have read these other google/yelp reviews, I see a pattern. It seemed like Eileen wanted us to walk away from the opportunity to rent this property. On another note, other reviews indicate that Eileen tends to overexaggerate damages, and inflates expenses in order to keep most of the security deposit. Normally I don't leave reviews but felt the need to, I recently Applied for A Duplex in The North Richland Hills Area. Before Applying I met up with The Landlord to view the property, I made it there before her and called to let her know I was there with her permission she sd tht I can go ahead and look at it and she would be there shortly. The Maintenance Guy let me in I viewed the property and I liked it. Once she arrived I let her know tht I was interested but when I seen her she just kind of looked at me strange with a weird smile and sd okay well here is the application, Normally from previous experience landlords converse and give you information regarding the property but she didn't she just stared at me. However she did ask if I had a pet I advised I did and she's a service animal which I had told her this prior our phone convo She just sd here is an Application send the App fee and email your documents. Later that day I sent everything over Application, App Fee check stubs and letter from my physician regarding my service animal. The next morning she emailed and sd I wasn't approved bc of a charge off from years ago. I replied and asked if she would be willing to work with me considering the fact that for the past 6 years my rental history Has Been A1 and I have a stable income showing that I was well capable of being able to Afford the financial responsibilities No reply. Honestly I kind of felt like discriminated against idk maybe she's had an experience before with tenants that Were "African American" or With pets. I don't like to pull the Race Card but the way she looked at me when she saw who I was and didn't really have much to say to me during the viewing of the property just seemed strange. Honestly I just wish I would've went with my first mind and I could hve kept my money bc I dnt feel like a credit check was ran considering the fact just 3 weeks ago I was Approved through a bigger management company and also was just Approved today (day after I applied at Moriah mngmnt for another property. I have been renting for the past 4 years with home managed by Mariah Property Management. During this past 4 years, the issues that have popped up have been address quickly and professionally. Once during the long drawn out heat spell, the a/c went out late in the afternoon. They had someone out there early evening to fix it. It needed a new motor and fortunately, the repair guy had the motor on his truck. We have seen the house painted, fences replaced and a new counter top stove replace. Yes, the Landlord pays for it but Mariah Property responsible for getting it done. Renting for us is not what we want to do but we own a home out of state and have been waiting for the housing market to recover so we could sell the house and buy here. In the meantime we are renting and Mariah Property has been responsive. read more

Do not rent from this company!! They took over the leasing duties at our duplex after the previous owners sold the property. From the very beginning they were a nightmare to deal with. I had lived in the house for 3 years prior to them taking over and never once had an issue with the landlords. They decided 10 days before Christmas that they were "going a different direction" (their words) with the property and gave us 30 days to move out. Upon move out they kept 75% of our deposit, citing that they had to clean out trash (they didn't) had to patch holes (there weren't any) and had to turn the electricity and water off ( I have emails showing that I took care of both) as reasons for withholding the money. Then proceeded to not answer my emails or calls when asked about the charges. I would avoid this company at all costs!! read more

I rented a duplex for 14 years that was managed by Moriah Property Management. They responded promptly for all issues.

Two different times this company failed to follow through with our conversation about the rentals. First time they were snooty about immediate move in and just dropped all communication with us. I believe in second chances so I gave them that when another rental we were interested in popped up. Again, they failed to follow through. I asked why two days later and they responded with a question that showed they obviously don't even read your emails so I forwarded our conversation to show them dates and times. I would stay away from this company. Behavior like that already pops up major red flags of what kind of "landlord" this company will be. Needless to say my husband and I refuse to rent from them. read more

This realtor took our $90 application fee and denied us for "insufficient rental information" because she could not obtain rental history she had requested less than 24 hours prior. This was after chasing after her for over two weeks to schedule showings and process our application and bending over backwards to her demands. She refused to accept checks that were from out of state (though they were still valid) and returned them to me be leaving them under her front door mat for me to pick up. She requested that I call a specific previous landlord to request that they fax her a rental history report to her though this is her job, and stated that another previous landlord was too far in the past to consider. I called this landlord and they advised that they would fax the report to her. She then denied the application without having that rental history though the rest of our application "looked great". She then refused to confirm or deny whether the report had been faxed to her and did not refund the application fee. read more

Before you sign lease make sure you can take all picture, because once you done with your lease , they are trying to cut money from your deposite for the stuff it was already bed or not fixed. Also make sure for maintainance once you call for small thing it might takes 7/10 days .also it took me 38 days to get my deposite. read more
