I cannot say enough amazing things about Westrom Group Property Management. My property had been sitting vacant with very little activity, and after switching to Westrom, they secured a qualified 2-year tenant in about ONE WEEK, at a HIGHER rent than I previously had. I would never have thought I could get that number. I was absolutely blown away. Jon Westrom, the owner, even met me on a Sunday to walk through the property and talk strategy. That level of dedication is rare. His entire team works with real fire, fast, motivated, and incredibly effective. They communicate clearly, take action immediately, and truly go above and beyond. I'm beyond impressed and extremely grateful. If you're looking for the best property management company in DFW, Westrom Group is it. Highly, highly recommend. read more

As a tenant I give Westrom group 1 star. I have posted my complaints on their website. They protect the landlord but not the tenant. I am renting and never had problems talking to my landlord about issues happening with their home. Tenants are to cut grass, weed wack, trim bushes and take care of the inside as well. I understand that when it's a house. I'm not responsible for their plumbing and other maintenance issue that are the responsibility of a landlord. I am definitely staying away from HOA. read more

Looking for a management company for a few units and they were the only company that answered the phone. Too bad they don't manage HOA's.

Honest folks. They've managed my property for a while now and have always looked out for my best interest. They're not out there trying to make a buck out of me. Occasionally, when the tenant finds issues, they respond immediately and, if the service cost is higher than normal, they'll ask for my consent (or give me options) before charging it to my account. I am happy that they keep me in the loop so I am not surprised by anything. read more

Jon (the owner), Tina and Mackenzie and the rest of the tram are truly the best. They have been managing my properties for years. From the initial onboarding, normal course of business and out of the ordinary issues, I trust them completely. Their judgement is spot on, always looking out for the best outcome. Thank you so much team. read more

We are investors from California who began real estate investing out of state (Texas) in October 2020. We (my brother and I) did our due diligence on a few property management firms around DFW and after we spoke with Jon, we knew we found the right person and firm. Jon's team helped us find and now manages 4 single family properties in the Fort Worth area. I appreciate Jon's honesty and openness to discuss his process working with investors and tenants. Having a handful of rental properties already in California, Jon walked us through what to expect when we invest in Texas and when working with Westrom group. What really stood out with Jon and his firm was their commitment to do the right thing when it comes to the tenants and investors. For example, during the February 2021 (low temp) freeze in Texas, Jon made it a point to communicate to us about the situation in Texas and top priority was the safety of tenants during that time, then the properties. I can respect that because if I was a tenant of Westrom group, I would certainly want my property management to care about my safety. When scoping out potential properties to buy, Tyler, our agent (from Westrom Group) gave us sound advice on areas to buy, their rent estimates, problems with properties (if any), including if numbers simple don't make sense to buy. We couldn't be more happy with Westrom group and hope to provide an review update in a few years! read more

Hands down the best property management company we've ever rented from. We are unfortunately not able to renew our lease this go around because our homeowner is selling instead of re-upping, but we're making a very cognizant effort to try to find another one of Westrom's homes specifically because of the wonderful experience we've had over the last two years. Truly one of a kind service, and they don't just say they care about their people, they mean it and prove it all the time. Anyone who rents through Westrom Group should consider themselves quite fortunate because they're truly the best. read more

This review is long overdue and I really wish I could copy and paste Tuan's 5 star review since it is perfect and articulates our experience with Westrom Group as well. Overall, investing in the Fort Worth area with the Westrom Group and having them manage our properties has been a wonderful decision. Absolutely everyone on the team is excellent and keeps us updated of anything that occurs, and is super responsive to any questions we may have. I have no doubt that our properties are managed correctly, efficiently, and that great tenants are chosen. Based on our experience, the Westrom Group is ethical both to the owners and tenants. I could not recommend them more! read more

Westrom Group knows how to best serve its clients. They were referred to us by a friend who was also equally happy with their services. Indeed they are professionals. We are newbies and small in the real estate business and they walked us through the Dallas Fort Worth property market and gave us expert advice on locations, property prices, and rentals. Jon's team was very helpful and straightforward. Tina, Westrom Group's VP for Operations is amazing. We thank her for helping us through with our first 2 properties in just a couple of months. They are now managing these homes for us. We are happy customers here Chris read more

As an agent in the industry - this property management group uses Showing Mojo (a cumbersome and time intensive process) to schedule showings. Only to arrive there and not have an access code. You call and no one is able to assist other than to give you access in another hour and half. Thanks for screwing your landlords by frustrating prospective tenants and not being able to access the house. Landlords and tenants beware!! read more

Westrom Group went above and beyond for my wife and I! Would 10/10 recommend. Jon will do whatever you want. We are in a perfect location, got a great price, and are so thankful for them. read more

This company is highly unprofessional. If you are a person of color avoid leasing from this Westrom Group like the plague. They will work with the owner to look for deceptive ways to keep your deposit. The final move out correspondence looked like an elementary age child wrote it. It had scratch outs, mistakes, and written in pen. They take pictures on their own standard operating move out document with absolutely no commentary so they can't be held accountable. The document has been developed for detail insight of their findings or move out inspections. They intentionally leave it blank, send pictures only, and conspire with the home owner to take your total deposit. They don't provide details where there SR.Leadership (Vp's) choose not to trust but validate the insight the owner shares with the person leasing the home! It is the best scam ever, the homer owner makes up fake damages and the individuals leasing never get to share their insight or perspective on the made up damages. It is truly designed to take the homeowners words over yours without in professional assessment or a non- bias third party. Once the scam is ran, you receive the generic letter with no substance that could be substantiated. They prey on the fact it will be more expensive to take them to court than just walk away peacefully with your deposit gone, so they can do the same horrible thing to the next customer needing to lease. Out of all my years of leasing, I have never encountered a group this incompetent. They send emails to you in an authoritative tone, as if they are masters over you, and your contract. It amazes me in 2020 that organizations even exist with employees of this competency level. I turned in a notice of an incident needing their attention in May of 2019, it still wasn't corrected in April of 2020. They are very selective on response. I haven't met any one in the office that looked like me, which leaves me to believe their service aligns with their hiring practices. Please believe me, do your personal research on this organization, and the key stakeholders who run this operation. It's oblivious diversity is an opportunity! I do believe they don't discriminate on taking your money through this process, it just seems to be more evident if you don't look like them. This is the worst organization I have ever leased from in my life! Sincerely Be aware and investigate for yourself! read more

I met Jon when I was in escrow for an investment property in Saginaw. Being an out of state investor, it was really important for me to find a great property manager I felt like I could trust. Jon met me at the property, walked through it with me, and gave me valuable feedback. When I closed escrow, Jon and his team completely managed the rehab and had the house rented out shortly thereafter. Knowing that Jon, Tina, and the Westrom team are taking care of the property has allowed me to comfortably invest out of state. Would highly recommend! read more

Great people to work with! I would recommend Terri and Jon were amazing to work with. Everything was simple and smooth.

We own an investment property in Texas and unfortunately was taken advantage of by our previous management company. We decided to switch to The Westrom group after hearing from fellow clients about their great service. As I live out of state I spent many hours on the phone with the owner Jon who took care of the transition for me. He put my mind at ease and took over the mess my previous company had left me with. The team is fabulous to work with, they are efficient and honest. I look forward to working with them for many more years to come. read more

After 5 years of working with Jon and his team ( Tracey & Jerod are amazing!) I still think Westrom Group is the best property management company. With them you are in good hands, they are very honest and hard working, fair to tenants and owners. I highly recommend them! read more

Run! This management company is low end and has inexperienced poeple in the office. Liza is the must ignorant person I've communicated with in my 13 years in the real estate industry yet. The fixed my toliet with rubber door stoppers bc the foundation at this property is so messed up it made the toliets rock. The fence and also the wood around this house is rotten. They move their office every year, which is a sign of a unstable business. My refridge went out and they replaced it with a cheap, roach infested refridge that wasn't taller then I and I'm 5'6. The garage door fell on my car and I had to threaten and law suit to get my car fixed. I'm moving out of this property it's a shack. If your looking for a home don't rent anything with 2453 in the address. The owner is very very cheap and hates to replace or fix anything. And when they do replace or fix anything they send people out that look like they have substance abuse problems and have to have their girlfriend with them to do any repairs. They had another account with more reviews like mine and they created a new account. BEWARE!!!!! read more

From a tenants standpoint, I give this company 3.5 stars. We lived in one of their properties for about 11 months before buying our own home. The approval process was easy and everyone in the office was fairly nice. The issues I had was with the actual house and getting the management company to work with the home owners. Issue #1: the back door wasnt sealed properly and every time it rained water would come in from the cracks. Eventually this lead to the wood on the side rotting. We would to cover the bottom of the door every time it rained with a towel. It took them three weeks to come out and look at it. Apparently, they have to get approval from the home owners to get someone to check it out. During this time, it rained almost every other day and we could smell the wood that was rotting. Eventually they came and re-sealed the door and it seemed to work. Not as much water was coming in, however, they didn't fix the rotting wood. Issue #2: the A/C. ALL the main windows faced west and during the summer it was brutal. The AC would run nonstop. Well the AC went out when it was 100+ degrees outside. I called around 11am and they said they would send someone out today. Well they didn't. I called back around 4pm and they said the homeowners wanted one of their guys to come look at it the next day. Mind you it was 90 degrees inside the house. Literally unbearable heat even with fans on. I asked if I could call my own AC repair and they said no. So I had my dad come check it out and the fan in the the unit had just came loose and had fallen down. He was able to screw it back in and it worked again. Issue 3: The deposit. They didn't give me back my entire deposit. Charged me $100 for cleaning and $200 for screw holes. I left that house spotless and vacuumed every inch of that carpet before moving out. There were no stains or missing pieces. I literally left the house in better condition than when I moved in. $100 to clean what exactly? The SMALL holes were from pictures that were hanging. $200 for a patch job is ridiculous. It seemed the management company were more concerned with the homeowners feelings than their tenants. Anyways, I'm glad I am no longer renting and living in this house. Good luck to the next person. read more

Recommendation for the Westrom Group - a first class property management group! I had been told by my trusted real estate agent that Jon Westrom and his property management team have excellent reputations with both landlords and tenets and are much appreciated by both. I believe this is the best kind of property managers to have so I hired them to manage my rentals! I have found the Westrom Group to be more than deserving of this excellent reputation! If I were a tenant, I would want to live in a house managed by Jon and his team! They are highly experienced and professional and responsive to the needs of both tenants and landlords! As a landlord I can say categorically that they take excellent care of the maintenance and upkeep of the properties they manage, and this is in the best interests of both landlords and tenants. They are experienced marketers and did a great job getting my house rented right at Christmas-- when it is hardest to find tenants! They have a very useful online system for keeping landlords informed about their properties and for tenants to get in touch with them and the team is always responsive in a very timely fashion to both tenant and landlord calls and texts. Bottom line--I could not more highly recommend Jon Westrom and his property management team to both property owners and tenants! read more

Tina did a great job managing my property and then eventually selling it. It was a sub $110K home and she spent more time on that sale (given the roadblocks and multiple contract cancellation situation) than a lot of realtors spend on $500K homes. I highly recommend Tina for the awesome job she has done! read more

Do Things DIFFERENT!! Jon is NOT in the real estate business..... He's in the PEOPLE business. I found him, looking for answers on how to manage my properties. Almost EVERYBODY else gave me a rushed elevator pitch on some big number of properties they have or trailed on about some confusing policy that DOESN'T effect me. When Jon took time to talk to me -sharing his experience and how it could apply me, it was different. Jon loves doing what he does, and NOT about talking big for $$$.... and I trust him. read more

Great company!! Ive rented from other agencies before and had problems from all of them until I rented from Westrom Group. Me and my wife rented the same house for almost 5 years from them and were always treated great. When any maintenance needed done or if something broke they were always on top of it and the move out was seemless. The only reason we moved out was because we bought a home otherwise we would still be there!! read more

My wife and I rented a house in Watauga for 5 years. The house was great and the only reason we moved was we wanted to purchase our own home, which we did in May of 2019. Jon and his employees at Westrom Group are the best. They all are very kind and professional. Above all else, they are honest and show true character in working with their tenants. They care! Anytime we needed something, they always addressed the issue and resolved it with positive results. If you're looking to rent a home or want someone to manage your property, Westrom Group will serve your needs very well. You will not be disappointed. They are a company that others should emulate! Their employees have attributes of value with a caring mindset that we all could learn from. To that end, THANK YOU, Westrom Group! read more

We have dealt with Jon and his staff during our rent time here. They have been more than fair, and very responsive to communications and any maintenance. They are excellent to deal with and their processes are easy. Monthly online payments are so simple with their portal, as well as their messaging system. When I do need to call, which is rare, they answer and deal with things right away in a friendly and professional manner. They aren't an us vs them rental place, they are friendly and helpful! By far the best property manager I've ever worked with. Highly recommended!!

I would use CAUTION in dealing with this company if you are a prospective tenant. Our personal experience has been surprising, and contradictory to the positive feedback I have read from others on line in the past. Perhaps this company has gone through some internal changes. That being said, we have a strong credit history, are financially solid, and have great personal and rental references, in addition, we meet the other criteria listed in the company's published criteria. Whether or not we were accepted for the property is not at issue given that the current rental market is crazy, and rental property is in high demand. Based on our experience, we feel the company's integrity is at issue. During the application process, I found them to be less than transparent in their dealings with us, not forthcoming or reliable in their "texted" and somewhat cryptic responses. As expected, part of the application process requires submission of numerous confidential financial and identity documents, which we provided to them. As the process has worn on, we have become very uncomfortable with the fact we provided this much information to a company that wasn't conducting themselves in a professional manner in our opinion. I must say in all my business dealings, this has been a rather bizarre experience. I know it is easy to get desperate trying to locate rental property in this market, however, before you pay the application fees, and turn over all your personal information, I would suggest getting a better comfort level with Westrom Group before doing so. You may have a different experience, but I felt it was important to let others know should they be experiencing similar dealings with Westrom Group. read more

I gave one star only because there are no negative stars. I would never rent a dog house from this company. On the coldest day of the year, Jan 1, 2018, when the outside temperature was 18 degrees, the heat in the house did not work. I called and emailed and did everything possible for someone to come out to the house to repair the heater.. My grandchildren, 4 and 6 yrs were living in the same house as me and the temperature was 58 degrees indoors. I was told to be patient by Jon Westrom...I guess when you have heat in your house and it's a holiday you don't want to spend the extra money for a holiday service call. It took until 6 PM on the second day to have someone respond to my heating issue. When I told the service rep that there were small children in the house he replied that no one had told him and he could have come early in the morning. Westrom in my mind is the worst of the worst as a property manager and only concerned with himself. I invited him out to the house to see and feel the lack of heat and of course he declined as any one without a conscience would. I wouldn't have him manage my doghouse if I had one. read more
