We needed an inspection and cleaning which revealed some significant repairs. We booked it and from beginning to end, it was smooth sailing with them. They consistently told me what was going on, where there technicians were and how much longer the work would be, each day. We had several different crews at different stages in the process and each and every one was great! They showed up on time, text to let us know they were coming, set up protective plastic sheets in the house, wore boot covers while in the house and worked hard each day. For all the work that they did, it was well worth every penny! Once complete, the work is fantastic and now we are enjoying our fireplace. Thank you 4 winds chimney!

    Disclaimer to start ... Review based on 3/4 of completed service…read more Inspection process: 5 of 5. Very comprehensive to include a camera inspection of the flue & inner parts of the chimney. Execution of the agreed upon scope of work: 3 of 5. Scope of work included the install of "Full Cover Flat Lid Cap." To date, majority of the scope of work is complete with the exception of installing the cap. Satisfied with the workmanship done so far. The cap hasn't been installed & company is still waiting for delivery. 7 Months into this project when the cap dimensions were taken & I have to arrange for a 2nd install date. Company Warranty Policy: 1 of 5. In order for the company to honor any warranty re-work, the customer has to buy into annual inspections. Based on that, I can't give a full throated recommendation to a neighbor to use this company again

    We were in the market for a new wood stove and we're finding the selection throughout the area very…read morelimited due to the shortages created by the pandemic. Although their inventory was depleted, WNY Fireplace offered to sell us their floor model of the stove we were looking for. We accepted the offer and set a date for the installation allowing them some lead time to uninstall the stove from their "showroom" and prepare it for installation at our home. At that time I was asked if I would provide them with photos of the stove being replaced and how it was installed. I sent them the photos, showing them the existing stove from several angles, the following day. After they received the photos I got a call from Rita saying that there might be an issue with the area in front of the hearth the we will have to deal with after the stove is installed, but we can deal with that then. The days past and about a week before the installation date, I called to confirm the date, firm up the time and see if there was anything else I needed to do in preparation for the installation. There was no answer at any of their numbers and after making numerous calls and leaving numerous messages over several days, I actually became concerned that something had happened to the business. I actually made calls for several weeks after the installation date had past in an effort to find out what had happened but the phones were never answered. This all started in mid November with missed installation coming and going in mid December. In early February we were in Batavia and on a whim, decided to drive by and see if they were still in business. Imagine our surprise to see that they were open for business. We stopped, went in and we're shocked when Rita initially acted as if we had never been there until I brought up the subject of our prior arrangement. That's when the excuses started. "We were having problems with our phones." "I never got any messages." " We wouldn't schedule an installation without a down payment." That was never mentioned previously. "We thought you had changed your mind." All of this not 10 feet from the stove that was going to be uninstalled the day after we agreed to purchase it. No apologies just excuses and the audacity to ask if we still wanted the stove. I don't know how they're still in business, although I can say that they really don't seem to care one way or the other whether they do or not and the appearance of their "Showroom " definitely reflects their "we don't care" attitude. If you're smart you will definitely pass on the WNY Fireplace Outlet.

    We went in with our measurements filled out from the companies website. Our intention was to…read morepurchase a fireplace that night (last night). My girlfriend and I went back and forth with each other regarding which style we liked better and the young, salesman kept disagreeing with what I was saying regarding color selection. He wanted to be right, a young man with an ego problem. My girlfriend and I literally agreed on a fireplace we liked and he interjected saying he didn't feel what we chose would match our current fireplace bricks properly. We liked it and we wanted to buy it. This guy hasn't seen our fireplace, we didn't even bring pictures. We were giving a lot of social cues that we didn't want his opinion but he either couldn't see that we wanted to be left alone to decide for ourselves or didn't care. In an effort to avoid another trip to ANOTHER fireplace store, I looked at him and said "Have you ever talked yourself out of a sale"? His response was no. I said, "You're about to". Now, at this point, any salesperson with half a brain would have shut their mouth and wrote the order for the $7,300 fireplace we wanted to buy. Not this guy. After I asked him if he had ever talked himself out of a sale, he stared at me like he was going to fight me. He didn't like that we wanted to decide for ourselves what we wanted, apparently, he didn't feel we were valuing his opinion enough. So, he stepped toward me like he wanted to fight and told us to "Get the F$%# out of "My Store". So, I think he was either the owner or the owner's kid. He literally threw us out of the store moments after we decided which fireplace we wanted to buy. We even gave him an opportunity to just shut his mouth and his ego wouldn't allow him to do that. This is why retail is dying. We're ordering our fireplace online. The sales experience was horrendous and I'm actually glad they showed their true colors before we gave them any money.
