Answered phone on a Saturday; quick and efficient fix to our furnace. Price seemed reasonable. Will call again!

I am not known for poor reviews but this is one of them…read more Hired Isaac a couple of years ago for an inspection and cleaning on our furnace, tankless water heater and air conditioner. Was pleased with the service so we bought one of their expensive maintenance plans. First of all, you have to call them every year to return for a cleaning and inspection. They should call us to schedule service thru their expensive plan. Fine. We are considering moving so I called for an inspection and cleaning. They wouldn't do the A/C bc it was February. Again, fine. Well the nightmare began. Now keep in mind everything worked perfectly prior to this service. Again, cleaning and inspection. Tech started inspection. Soon I heard a half hour of very loud metallic banging. I asked how it was going and was told he was trying to free a part to clean and check it. In the end, couldn't get it. Specialist had to return. Specialist returned and said igniter was bad. Changed it and it cost $162 which was the cost after the $600 maintenance plan previously mentioned. Pretty quickly we noticed more trouble. No hot water for a number of minutes. You may say no big deal but try running your bath for 3 to 5 minutes bf you get hot water. This happens on every faucet too. So we called again. Tech came and now found a bunch of gas leaks and the heat exchanger was bad. Cost $300 after their wonderful $ 600 maintenance plan. They also repaired some of the gas leaks. Said RGE had to fix another one. RGE came and said no leak. Hmmmmm... And I can't help to wonder how much of this is a result of the first Tech banging away full force on a very intricate and fragile piece of equipment. And we don't even have the new heat exchanger installed yet!! No call with an update, no call to schedule appt. Nothing. 2 months ago we called for an inspection. $500 later (not including the investment in the $600 maintenance plan) we have a non properly functioning water heater, no appointment and no plan. So much for hiring a big company for expertise, service and peace of mind. Ill update when, I mean if this gets resolved.

I'd like to start by saying we are not unhappy with the service or technicians that were sent to…read morethe house to install the new water heater. My review is solely based on Isaac's lack of ability to give us a detailed invoice for the cost of the work done. We asked several times and were told that is was not possible in their systems to provide one. they did divide it into Labor and Equipment, but did not provide the actual cost of the Hot water tank, new venting, cost of removing the old equipment, etc. I have owned houses for over 35 years, never have I had a company not be able to provide cost breakdown of the hardware installed. We will not be calling them for any other services, except those that are covered by the warranty on the water heater.

Despite claiming in his responses here that he would make things right, Jake is no longer willing or able to contact me directly to resolve the situation. Instead, I'm left dealing with yet another round of service fees for problems that were never properly fixed in the first place. The leaking part in question can be purchased online for $60-$100, yet Turnbull wants to charge me $169 just to come out and tell me what I already know--that the same issue is recurring because nothing substantive was ever done to repair it. Now that the unit is "out of warranty," I fully expect they will find more problems and hand me another list of expensive repairs. Turnbull's refusal to stand behind their work, their avoidance of accountability, and their unwillingness to escalate customer concerns to management make it clear: this company puts customers last. Avoid Turnbull Heating and Cooling at all costs. Original Review - I am beyond disappointed with Turnbull Heating and Cooling and strongly advise against using their services unless you enjoy paying for poor-quality workmanship and constant repairs. I had my furnace installed by Turnbull in 2021, and it has been nothing but a headache ever since. I've had multiple service calls due to the unit not working, including two terrifying instances in less than a month when the wiring short-circuited and literally caught fire both times (photo attached). Now, in the middle of winter, I'm dealing with yet another issue--this time, the heat strip needed replacement. I decided to call Turnbull because they installed the unit and I assumed they would take care of yet again another issue. While the part was covered under warranty, Turnbull refuses to cover the cost of labor, leaving me with a $419 bill ($169 for diagnostics and $250 for labor). I've never heard of a warranty that only covers parts, forcing customers to pay out of pocket for issues caused by poor workmanship. When I reached out to Amana, the furnace manufacturer, they explained that their warranty doesn't cover labor because they can't verify if the unit was installed properly to begin with. This points directly to Turnbull's shoddy installation and lack of accountability. Save yourself the stress, unsafe equipment, and constant expenses. Avoid Turnbull Heating and Cooling at all costs. Their poor-quality work and refusal to stand by their installations are unacceptable.

When I explained this to them the second time, they said "okay, nevermind, we will send someone today." No one showed up. I called again to make sure they were actually sending someone and I didn't take off another day from work for no reason and she assured me that I was the next stop on the technicians schedule. Nope. No one. Called again and they said someone would call me back with an update. No one called. Some of the worst service I've experienced in a long time. Won't ever use them again.
