Their technician told me there was a CO leak (cracked heat exchanger) and we would need a new boiler - about $7,000. I had Nowak come in for a second opinion and the Nowak technician informed me that such CO leaks were usually due to the heat exchanger hot air channels being clogged and that the channels could be cleaned out. The tech noted that there would have been a water leak (there wasn't) if the exchanger was cracked. The tech cleaned the channels, but then noticed that one of the boiler burners was misaligned and that this was the actual source of the CO problem. Nowak charged me for the re-alignment of the burner ($64) and waived the channel cleaning fee, which was hundreds of dollars. Super competence and super honesty! Can't say enough. We will be using them for now on.

It was very very cold that night and the furnace seemed to be failing. Tony came within hours in the middle of the night to see what the problem was! I thought that was quite extraordinary. I had never seen service like this! It was hard to diagnose the problem initially but after a few days it was clear that a circuit board had failed. As soon as the part came, Tony sent someone to get the system fixed. Fast forward an exact 8 years, the same issue happened and this time I called Janet and stated what had happened before and whether she could send someone with that same circuit board again! They had the whole matter in their system. Within 12 hours a wonderful man, Korey, the very same guy who eventually finished the work in 2017, showed up and after some careful checking fixed the furnace - yes, it had the same problem. Machines fail ... but it is the extraordinary dedication, honesty and work ethos of Campione people that I have come to value! These guys are beyond incredible! And being an old professor, I am a pretty critical guy!
