I had a number of pool companies who wouldn't even come out for a bid, they just wanted to bid blind. Kim and Tom were consummate professions and I would happily be a reference for them. They handled everything from helping with design, permitting, digging, plumbing, etc. and even added some features at no cost I didn't even know I needed. Morgan Family Pools installed a pool in our backyard a few years ago, and we have loved it! They were recommended by a friend, and were the most reasonably priced of the companies we looked at. Tom, Kim, and their subcontractors were nice to work with, and their work is quality. The process wasn't perfect; and there were some surprises, like an old septic tank that needed to be worked around, and plans that needed to be adjusted elsewhere, but Morgan Pools was very accommodating. They have still been very helpful during the past few years when I've had an occasional question or problem with our pool maintenance. I just asked Kim if she could tell me which pool cover they originally got us, because it was much better quality than the one I bought on my own. She took the time to contact their distributor to see if that specific pool cover was still available, and ordered another one for us. We were looking for a company that we felt was reliable and not pushy with their sales pitch, which many were. We quoted 3 different companies before someone recommended Morgan Family Pools. Kim and Tom were FABULOUS, they gave us a quote and a completion timeline and it all worked out the way they said it would. Their team was fantastic to work with (excavators, electrician, pebble, tile/stone and contractors in general). All the phases of the project were on time, no surprises, no unanticipated costs and always clear and prompt communication. Other companies were "nickel and dime us" with everything and were vague about completion times. Be aware of those companies! In the end you will never pay what they originally quoted you, you will end up with a larger, unforeseen bill! Morgan Family Pools quoted a full project and honored it all the way. That was extremely important to us because we had no wiggle room in our budget. We started our pool in the middle of July 2021, they estimated a 3-4 month completion time which we were ok with, especially because it was in the middle of all the COVID shortages and supply issues. They finished right on time, no delays or schedule push-outs. (completion was Oct 2021). When the tile we liked was not available at the location we selected it, they went above and beyond to go around different local warehouses to get enough tile to ensure we got exactly what we wanted and to keep the project on time. I had lots of questions along the process, simply because I like to understand what is happening and why. Tom always answered my questions patiently, explained things to me and advised me when I wasn't sure which was the better design, tile, pebble, etc. He was on-site often supervising the process. This company came highly recommended by a family friend who just had their pool completed. We called and spoke with Kim, and set up a pool build consult, and informed us that they were very busy. No big deal as we are not in a hurry. Kim came out in late May, for a very brief and rushed visit, and managed to talk us out of all of the ideas and wants we are interested in for our pool. She said she would get back with us on a quote and design. Here we are a month later and have not heard a word from Kim or Morgan Family pools. The completed pool looks fine. After a major construction project, fine is not the description you want. My excitement level was muted after a longer than planned build and multiple issues during the process. I mentioned to the builder and one of the main sub contractors when it was finally done that I was not excited about the pool or the process. Some initial issues were mother nature and could not be helped. But others were too many additional jobs at different locations being worked at the same time causing weeks long delays. Sub-contractors were used to build the pool...some were great, some were ok, and some were not good at all. Using a company with everything in house is a recommendation I make to others looking to build a pool. The initial process was great but the excitement of building a pool ended after the first month. Ensure you review the contract and ensure full accountability of issues...like broken utility lines, poor wiring, and damage to property. If you don't have accountability, move on and select a different company. I'm responsible for every action with my pool build. This includes selecting the company and the parameters of the build. I waited almost a year before submitting a review. I originally planned to not write a review...keep my issues to myself and not say anything. But after almost a year of ownership I have enough experience both with the pool and with the after care to give an accurate accounting of my experiences with this process. I would give this business 5 stars if the communication with the contractors were better. We went to a place to get coping & decorative tile & they failed to specify that we were to get decorative tile there & coping elsewhere. They did AFTER the fact. My husband had to leave work early to pick something to meet their deadline. They made several mistakes regarding placement of equipment & 1 placement of a decorative tile. We even have photographic picture of the tile placement & the contractor "claims it was placed that way" & YET HE DIDN'T CALL any of us to make sure that was correct. Why would we want 1 diagonal tile out of 4 that were placed head on? Also the contractors are taking too long to move some equipment due to having a puppy whose is chewing things due to the teething phase. I don't want my puppy killed for chewing an electronic box. In the end I'm sure we will love the results. The crew is fantastic. They do a beautiful job. The crew gets 5 stars because THEY ASKED QUESTIONS ALONG THE WAY. I recommend Morgan Family Pools but be prepared for some mistakes along the way & keep notes & photos for evidence. For the money you invest they should do what you want. read more

I would save yourself time and expense and avoid this pool contractor at all cost. The job was not professionally done it was a nightmare at best. Any items that needed to be corrected he would not claim responsibility for. We are having electrical problems with the pool lights now and have called out reps from savy lights and they told us he installed them wrong and now we might have to pull up half our pavers. He used the wrong conduit (2 small) to the spa jets and we have weak flow to the jets. He made our pool the wrong depth and now we just have to live the fact that it's a lot more shallow than we asked for. The whole process was TERRIBLE! These are just a few things that went wrong. They are not a professional company. We now have to go the legal path unfortunately because he will not respond to our emails. Tom Morgan in my opinion should not be in business. He used to do pools in Arizona and I have found bad reviews from there. DO NOT USE! read more
