UPDATE 10/31/13 Went over there for dinner on Halloween. Showed up and ordered and it took 1 hr to receive the pizza to eat there. They stopped taking phone and walk up orders about 7PM because they were "screwed up" as one of the staff members stated. They were offering complimentary fountain drinks to some customers but they did not do that for us or some other customers. One staff member did offer us a refund if we decided not to wait any longer. I know that they make their pizza with large chunks of Chicken or Sausage or Beef..but the chunks are just too large and we found that the Chicken was very chewy, hard and dry. The Sausage (or Beef) was not flavorful and also dry. The salad we ordered was ok but again the Chicken pieces on it was too hard, dry and chewy. They do not cut the onions in pieces, rather they are slices off the onion in thick rings and you have to cut it down yourself along with some of the larger lettuce pieces. As we waited for our pizza (1 hr) I thought to myself that this place is in fact boring as there are no TV's to occupy your time and make you want to stay and order more beer ect. We will not be going back. ______________________________________ !st visit. 3 Stars The table I choose had a very loose table top. I decided to stay at that table after I dertermined it would not fall off. When I looked at what was the cause of it to be loose, I discover that a few screws were coming out of the brackets that attach the table to the wall (see pic). Pizza has lots of cheese, thats for sure. Not thick, which is good for me, but not too thin either and could be just a little crispier on the bottom dough. The sausage really did not have too much flavor. If my eyes were closed it could have passed for beef. They do not have Anchovies which is a bummer for me. They do have fresh mushrooms as well as canned so make sure you specify when you order. The place could do well with a TouchTunes music box inside instead of what they have now. That way the customers can play their desired music directly from the TouchTunes app on their phones. Several customers, including myself, were shooing away flies with their hands while trying to enjoy their meal. They do deliver. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday I would go back. read more

There are a few things I really like about MTP. #1 is their ranch dressing. Hands down, best ranch ever. Remember Hurley on Lost? Where he finds the bunker with the Dharma bucket of ranch? That's me. I also like that they have contests on Twitter and Facebook daily, giving people a chance to win free pizzas. I dig that their pizzas are square cut and that they put a lot of toppings on, even though at some point, it just gets ridiculous. --- Then there are the things I'm melancholy about, like their sandwiches, which might be good if you eat them right away, but once they wrap them up in foil and you get it home, you're left with a soggy mess. Their salads aren't worth the price in my opinion. The cashiers (who are all guys), seem kind of inconsistent. One guy tells me, "You get six free sides with your order." (Ranch being the only valid one, obviously, but also available are things like jalapeños, red pepper, Parmesan cheese, etc.)...then the next guy will say, "I have to charge you for any sides.." Okay -this is where I get the hate mail. I know everyone LOVES their cheese sticks, but I don't get it. They seem pretty standard to me. I'm not saying I won't eat them, but I'm not gonna pay $6 for them, either. --- The not so much: The dining room kind of reminds me of a cross between a poorly lit bowling alley and a past-its-prime roller rink. It has a cluttered feeling to it, with papers and signs everywhere..I guess if I were a teenager, I'd dig it or be oblivious to it. The price: I don't know how teenagers even afford to eat here. I can barely afford it. $20 for one large pizza? Really? I get that it's a family business, and that they're doing something right, to keep such a fan base on their side, but for the average family, this just isn't an option that often. read more

Definitely loved the pizza, and I want MOAR! Small, mom and pop shop that deserves it stars I am giving. Service was great and the music was popping. It even made a middle-age caucasian male customer dance to Michael Jackson - Thriller, lol... It was hilarious, but back to the review. Once you settled in and find your spot, customers have to go to the front counter ahead to order, there is no hand menus but a big red menu on the wall that displays everything offered and prices. The blonde woman was really helpful and nice to explain some things to me, so service was on point. I ordered the Large Meat Lover's pizza which was slightly larger than I expected (I ain't complaining at all) so be sure before leaving keep in mind to ask for that to-go box. Also got the Cheesy Sticks which is basically Garlic Cheesy Bread. I thought their were mozarella sticks at first but they were great and complimented the pizza. The toppings were on-point and high quality, the sausage always been my favorite meat in pizza and I can tell you by experience it was very pleasant to the taste buds, not that regular Great Value stuff. With two drinks I paid around $30 dollars give or take. I liked it and felt that you can be a little bit yourself other than being quiet and hearing crickets chirping. Last min Dinner out... decided to stop at this cozy yet cool place in clovis... total cool place... lot of people were there... order two small pizzas... 1 cheese of course for my daughter. 1 veggie pizza: I modified their toppings and took out spinach, artichoke out and added pineapple n jalapeño. I have been coming here for over 15 years and it's been great. This time not so much. We always get their cheese sticks because they are delicious but this time they were completely doughy and raw.. We pulled apart two breadsticks to show them. We were very polite and they said they would fix this. We were expecting a replacement but all they did was reheat the exact same torn apart breadsticks. I can't give them 1 star because the other times they have been great but this was the first time we encountered a problem and I have to say I am disappointed in how they dealt with their error. I ordered online around noon for pizzas and wings to be picked up by 6pm. My husband gets there by 605 and wing are not done. He doesn't get the wings until about almost 630. So now our pizzas has just been sitting there because the workers did not make the wings even though I ordered and paid online at noon! I figured order in advance so they have notice and by 6pm everything is ready. Now my husband is late to my fathers bday party with the pizzas and wings. When he gets there the pizzas are warm, not hot. And now soggy. Pizzas were not enjoyable at all. One was burnt and the other looks like it was made perfectly but they both were soggy because they were sitting for so long. We asked if there was anything they can do for the inconvenience, they gave us free cheesy bread. Which were good. But wish we could have gotten some of our money back instead. This is an impressive New York style pizzeria, definitely one of Fresno/Clovis best kept secrets and it should be on your to do list when eating out for pizza; truly reminded me of the pizzeria in the east coats- New York area, where the food is superbly good and the family sit down atmosphere is simple and unpretentious. Its really an interesting concept, it has the same comfort and amenities as a sit down restaurant -plates, shakers and etc, but everything is self serve, that means you take your own water, your own plates (porcelain here and real silverware) and your own condiments when you are finished ordering at the counter- what a way to save up on unnecessary tips. Parking is easy to find here, although its important to remember that this place close on Monday's and Tuesday's. With pizza prices ranging from $10-$15, it is highly reasonable for the generous portion and quality. I have to graciously thank one of my yelp friends who recommended me this place and actually met me here to share this amazing pizzeria. He was not kidding when he said this place was great, because it was out of this world for me too. The pizza here uses only the freshest ingredients and I mean the freshest, including real fresh pieces of roasted chicken, pieces you can actually notice to be roasted chicken that taste amazing -which is really rare here in Fresno. Its wasn't only the fresh ingredients that was impressive, the pizza as a whole tasted amazing. The pizza crust has that rustic feel- nice crunch and perfect texture, neither thin or thick just perfect, while the cheese and other toppings of chicken, jalapeño and mushroom was really generous. The sauce was fresh tomato base, not to tarty with a hint of sweetness, complimented the pizza real well The 7 pieces chicken wings was also very tasty $4.99 with a hint of spiciness. Overall I would definitely be back to this amazing pizzeria, its a Clovis/Fresno gem thats not to be missed. Finally, some good pizza in Fresno! I just had this More than Pizza for the first time recently and was very pleased that it was different than other Me-n-Ed's clones around the area. The pizza reminded me very much of the 'grandma style' pizza in New York. Other reviewers mention NY style but the pizza here is nothing like the traditional NY slice (i.e. it's not ultra thin); it's more like a middle ground between thick and thin. I'd say it was tantamount to Harry's Italian in Manhattan (financial district)--a good thing indeed. I uploaded two pics of a pepperoni and sausage XL pie. The restaurant itself is a whole in the wall type place; has about 6 to 8 booths and some tables. It was crowded and small, people waiting, and steadily running out with their pies for takeout--a good sign at any pizza place. The setup is that you order and then grab a table, they bring you the pizza. One has to grab their own drinks, plates, napkins, and silverware (if you're so inclined to use a fork and knife to eat za). It's really affordable too which is awesome. My only complaint was that there were tons of flies near the window booth seats; not sure why but it was kind of annoying. Bathrooms were clean. Those are small points though...I'll definitely be back to get more pizza. read more

I normally would give 4-5 stars for More Than. It's one of our favorite places for pizza, however the other night we did not have a good experience. While ordering our dinner it seemed as if we were bothering the gal taking our order... I couldn't help but feel like we were inconveniencing her. Then we dined in. I was with my family, including my child. There was another family with children, as well, next to us. A couple of the girl employees sat down at a table for a break and were using profanity. I'm not a prude but there were children all around and I felt like it was inappropriate. The food was still good but it seems like the employees need work on their customer service. Two friends in less then a 48hr time frame posted picture of the pizza and other food. I had to go and I had to go then. There is only one thing bad I'll write, so I'll do it first. More room is needed. This place is that good that they could increase their income by a simple increased seating capacity. Now to the goods. The price is really great. They pile on the topping's!!!!!!! The pizza dough is goods the sauce was great. The wings had a nice kick to them. The beer is at a great price point. I got a 32oz shock top for 4 dollars!!!!!! This joint came highly recommended by a few of my "foodie" friends and it didn't disappoint. The pizza was as good if not better as anywhere else in Fresno. Almost 2 hour wait, wrong pizza, average quality, fairly cold and almost $30. I used Door Dash and they were awesome. Poor door dash driver said MTP almost ripped off his head when he was asking why it took so long. The pizza they did send was a average and almost cold. I came to pick up the pizza 15 mins early and found out that my pizza had been done for 20 minutes. The crust was soggy anything, but well done. We had to pop it into our toaster oven to crisp up the crust. The toppings were abysmal. The pepperoni they use is cheap and the pizza had about 5 microspic mushrooms on the entire extra large pizza. I'm writing this review to communicate to the owners to find employees who care and to start buying quality ingredients. Yesterday the place was empty and looked like a mess. You can see the back of the kitchen from the counter and there was a ton of large food debris on the floor. This place is definitely a hidden gem and a staple amongst most Clovinians. I've been coming here since high school. Everything is delicious on their menu.
