Was blown away by this menu, both their drinks and food. Location and ambiance were just a plus to the entire experience. Located conveniently outside of Wrigley Field, this fancy-ish bar serves a wide range of alcoholic drinks and upscale American food. Here's what we ordered - - Palenta fries: HUGE bricks topped in parmesan and served with garlic aioli (to die for) - Cheese curds: As a cheese curd connoisseur, I approve. - Concession cola: I didn't think I'd like this cocktail because I'm not huge on dark soda, but I was wrong. Just the right amount of sweetness and carbonation made for a great cocktail. - At the warning track: Reposed tequila with a hint of grapefruit and Chile amaro to spice it up. Tasted like an alcoholic Thai tea to me! Bar service was great, everyone was super kind and personable. Fancy decor and table settings would make for a great date spot. I could've hung out here all night! Thanks to the Mordecai staff for creating such a wonderful experience on our bar crawl.

Came here for evening martinis at the bar and it was such a nice vibe! There aren't many elegant cocktail places in wrigleyville so this was a great find. The bartenders were super nice. We also ordered the chocolate tart dessert which was fancy and delicious. Would come back!

Happy hour Friday, 5PM-7PM $1 dollar oysters. Can't beat it. Saw the advertisement for the $1 oysters online and couldn't resist. Came on a date night (had to make up) and she loved everything. We had the oysters, steak tartare, chicken croquets, bruschetta I will be returning for more Oysters!

Mordecai is a cool space with a unique decor and cocktail lounge vibe. We sat at the bar and had some tasty craft cocktails made by a very knowledgeable bartender before our dinner plans down the street, but the food menu looked awesome as well. As an added bonus, they had cocktails on the menu that proceeds benefited a local charity - love that! Will be back to try the food.

Went here for our first time to try the Monday burger special, which includes their delicious hamburger with a beer and a shot for $20. The atmosphere is lovely. The service was nice. The burger was delicious as were the fries in beef fat. The shot was an Amaro which was delicious, but the beer was a can of Champagne Velvet, which was pretty bad. Much like a Hamms. We'll definitely go back for the food.

We walked over right after the Cubs game since it's literally across the street from Wrigley Field. We wanted some cocktails after the game. We walked up and were immediately seated at the end of bar with a great view of the stadium and Gallager Way - we could hear the band playing and had some front row people watching as the fans left the stadium after the game. They had the windows open since the weather was nice. The bartender quickly took our order and we had some finely crafted in had in short order. We ordered a couple more drinks and enjoyed the scene as the fans thinned out. It was a great post-game place to relax. Great staff and great drinks. I look forward to returning the time I attended a game!

Popped in on a Thursday night, a lot of seating was available but we sat at the bar. Ordered the oysters, east coast, very fresh and delish! The burger was the star! Big burger and super juicy and flavorful. Perfect after a long day or if you're craving a burger. We also had a dirty martini and old fashion, but made very well. The martini was perfect and my boyfriend loved the old fashion, it is a whiskey bar! We also stopped in for drinks a few weeks later and they were able to seat us no problem. Hosts and servers are friendly and quick!

We stopped in for dinner after visiting the Kris Kindl market at Wrigley. The decor was modern and festive - it felt very Christmas but done well in a modern restaurant. We had a very attentive waiter who also knew a lot about the food. We started with oysters and the house mignonette was maybe the best I've ever had. It was light and tasty but ensured the oyster flavors were most prominent. I did manage to take some pictures of our food and these were all great! The gnocchi was light and fluffy, I'm not sure that I would call the meatballs spicy but they were tasty. The carrots were great and the short ribs were tender. Mordecai is a place I'd definitely come again for a date night or dinner with friends. Great food & service!

Located right across the street from Wrigley Field. We decided to come here because there was a very long line heading to the L, so we decided to just get a drink and wait it out. They have a big window area that they leave open, so if you are looking to cool off at this place, then you'll be sweating it out. Although they had the a/c running, having the window open, basically negates all of that cold air. We both got drinks, an ice tea & banana split sundae. Word to the wise, don't get the ice tea as it's a 16oz, bottle for $8. The cocktails was good and refreshing. Although I found that the chairs are super hard and not cushioned at all. So that kind of took away from the experience a bit. The banana split was pretty creative as it had dehydrated banana bits and not a whole fresh one. Although, chewy, it actually tasted like a banana split. Since I'm lactose, I didn't eat too much of it, but I thought it was pretty good.

I was going to come here and tell you about the great drinks we had when we first came here. But this place made such an impression on us we came back the very next weekend. First, the cocktail menu is strong. With a significant list on spiritless cocktails. Get the half cent bird. It's one of the best mocktails I've ever had. There all good though as we tried 4 or so more of them too. Food is fantastic too. The fried cheese curds were some of the best too with some fried pickles thrown on top. I devoured everything they've given us here. The short rib. The kale salad. I never order shrimp but loved their steak and shrimp entree. For our second visit we got a reservation in the popup valentines thing they do upstairs. It was awesome. Great variety of scenery. And chill atmosphere to enjoy date night. I can't wait to come back. It's on the shortlist of places I want to come back to as soon as I can.

Definitely deserves its spot in the Michelin guide! I live right down the street but for some reason never made it in here until recently, but I'm glad I did. I didn't need a reservation or anything, they were able to seat us right away in a nice corner booth spot. It has a really nice dimmed dinner ambiance, not loud or overly crowded at all. I didn't grab a drink this time around but the burger was amazing! One of the best burgers I've had in Chicago. I wanted to go back the next day to have it again. This seems to be one of the few places in Chicago now that charges $20 for a burger and actually gives you fries with it AND doesn't charge you for toppings. Michelin experience/ambiance, service, and taste without the crazy Michelin restaurant prices. And it's right next to wrigley field which is fun if you're visiting or showing people around the area.

    Tasty cocktails!

Great vibe! Full bar with fancy cocktails! Actually unusual cocktails that you could not even imagine but delicious! The bar is across from Wrigley Field, Gallagher Way. The staff is attentive. I cannot attest to the food but the menu looked appealing.

After Salon hours this place turns into a cozy little bar with wonderful cocktails and excellent service where you can actually have a conversation with friends. How old fashioned is that!? Three bar service locations, ample seating space, a cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, and an upscale, luxurious feel to the whole place. We never get tired of coming here. But all of that together does not measure up to the heart and soul of the space brought to it by Jerry and Lee. Go. You'll fall in love too.

This isn't them being cute with a theme, there is a bona-fide salon here, though it does not operate as late as the bar and was tucked away behind a curtain. Speaking to a regular, it is possible to have a cocktail while having your hair cut (or maybe waiting at some point in the process?) But I digress. I ordered a Taxi Dancer - an extremely pleasant whiskey-based drink that was spirit forward without being overwhelming (though I drink whiskey neat, so take this with a grain of salt). It had a perfect level of sweetness, and a little spice (not heat). The vibe here is upscale, modern, and bright. The bar staff is friendly and welcoming to newcomers and regulars alike. I also love that their prices seem to be reasonable, all things considered. The aforementioned cocktail is $16, which is fair considering the quality. While on that particular night I only had the one, I will be happily adding Buzzed by Zea to my cocktail bar rotation when I feel like going out for a night on the town.

It was the right move because it had the kind of chill vibe we were seeking after a long flight from SFO. Fortunately there were two seats at the bar with our names on them. Figuratively speaking. They had quite a signature cocktail list on hand, and we felt it was our obligation to try as many as we could. At least that was what we said to ourselves as the evening wore on. Each cocktail was $14. We started with a couple of familiar libations. Jamie ordered the Mint Julep, a delightfully Deep South mix of bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh mint (photo: https://yelp.to/u-td8LdPLj). I went further south with the Pineapple Margarita which was emboldened by a tropically potent mix of pineapple infused tequila, lime juice, and agave (photo: https://yelp.to/V-Sf6Q_2qK). We got a bit bolder with our second round and found mixed results. Jamie had the Not Your Mom's Daiquiri which amped up the margarita by blending pineapple-infused tequila with Bacardi 8-year rum. Along with fresh lime and simple syrup, this one definitely had more of a kick (photo: https://yelp.to/1ZijDf6wMV). However, my order, the Pontiac Pony, was a spicy miss for me. It was a rather oddball mix of apple-cinnamon infused vodka, pear liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and ginger beer (photo: https://yelp.to/5dQoFdzG98). There was just a harshness that didn't sit well on my tongue. Oh well, the mellow vibe was cool. I happened to discover LNF during a Yelp Event when LNF turned into Rudolph's Bar, a jolly holly Xmas Extravaganza! I do not believe there was a single spot in the bar that had not been covered in Xmas decorations. It was total sensory overload to the point I did not put up any directions 2025 because I had seen enough at LNF. HAHAHAHAHA! On the strength of the food and drinks that night, I decided to go back once all of the Xmas hoopla was over. Going back in 2026 was a more subdue, but enjoyable time for me. As I mentioned in my 2025 review, even with all the Xmas decoration, the overall vibe was a step up from the typical bars around the Cubs playground. I would have loved a regular girls night out there instead of the last hurrah of me and The Queen. I had mentioned to her about the cocktails and the pizzas I had during the Yelp event and we decided to stop in before heading to the Alamo Drafthouse for a movie. Me and The Queen go the Spicy Sausage pizza and those fries, since I talked about the food to her. Again it was really good, with the crust still being nice and thin. The Queen did not think it was all that spicy, but she eats Hell Ramen Level 4, so I do not look to her for confirmation of hotness when it comes to food. We had cocktails and The Queen (because she was driving) had a Margarita made with a zero proof Tequila. I have to say it was not that bad and I got one and added Prosecco to it...delish. Me and The Queen had a great time chatting, eating and drinking at LNF, but were both sad that we were going to miss out on the opportunity to turn this into one of our rotation hangouts. But I will always be grateful for them introducing me to their Red Bull Winter Spritz. Since that Yelp Event, I have bought three cases of Red Bull Sugar-Free Fuji Apple and Ginger Winter Edition Energy Drink to make the cocktail. Not sure if it is exactly how they did it, but it works for me. So long LNF, it was good knowing you, even if it was for a short time. Deuces!

My goal is to try 50 new Chicago restaurants in 2025!…read moreRestaurant: 63/50 Month tried: November Favorite dish: I would not eat here again Woooof. We had a reservation for 9 am the day of the Michigan/Northwestern game at Wrigley Field. Figured we would have a quick brunch then go enjoy the pre-game atmosphere. Well, when we had been sitting for nearly 30 minutes with no server to be found, we started to get nervous. She finally came over and while she was sweet, really just nothing went right. A food runner brought out a tray that appeared to have all of our orders, but then only served one plate before walking away. It was a solid 10-15 minutes before anyone else's meals were brought out, and even then it was one plate at a time every few minutes, not the rest of the order at once. And everything was cold. Every single item. The chicken and waffles felt like it came out of the fridge it was so cold. And the worst part - we had a member in our party with a severe nut allergy, who told the server 3 times. She noted it, and made sure he would get white toast instead of wheat. When his meal came, there were two huge pieces of wheat toast with visible nuts across his ENTIRE plate. Touching every piece of food. He said again that he was allergic, and they just removed the toast and handed the plate back. It had already touched everything! Since at this point we had to leave soon for the game (and because we now couldn't trust a kitchen that doesn't understand a nut allergy), we just had them remove his order from the check and he didn't get to eat. The server did take 20% off the total bill and gave us a gift card to make up for our terrible experience. Like I said, she was very nice and trying her best. She was just at the mercy of the kitchen being behind and screwing up. But as a Wrigleyville restaurant, you MUST be able to handle lots of customers on a game day. That's like the one thing Wrigley bars need to be good at. This is just not an environment I would choose to be in again, especially for the steep prices. We'll use the gift card for drinks at the bar on a non-game day, and wipe our hands of Lost Never Found.
