So, I found these chairs at a garage sale about 15 years ago. They had the traditional 70s gold/avocado green stripes that made you want to throw on a pair of bell bottoms and watch Saturday Night Fever. But I digress. Sitting in these chairs was an experience I haven't had in Ethan Allen or even Jeromes. They hug you and support you in all the right places. I feel a little regal, to be honest. The problem was they were an assault on my senses. And I don't own bell bottoms or Saturday Night Fever. My husband had Morales Upholstery do some work on a boat, so he recommended them to recover my chairs. I brought my own fabric (thank you JoAnnes Fabric clearance shelf) which they told me was a total score. The result? Comfy chairs that don't scare away guests. I am disappointed that I did not read Morales ratings before I left my cherished chair. One big hint of their substandard work should have been the dirty and disorganized place, but I dismissed it thinking that their end product would be professional - I was so wrong!! I could have done a better job then what they did. They left the ends of the material frayed and surfacing between tacks. Also, staples were visible all over the edges. Morales Upholstery is an absolute joke. I called them to resurface some chairs, he told me a cheap price over the phone so I loaded the chairs up and went to his shop. I was a bit nervous leaving the chairs is such a dirty/dusty disgusting shop. The chairs were hand made quite a few years ago and very very expensive. A few days later I show up at the shop to see how the work is coming along. I was SHOCKED to see that my beautiful chairs have been destroyed. I asked what happened? the owner started yelling at me, telling me that its what I get for that price. I told him I would have paid more and that he only gave me that one price over the phone. Basically, It's my fault. Then he told me he did me a favor when he added foam padding on some of the chairs. Geeez Thanks, for the foam. now I have to find someone who knows how to upholster high end furniture. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND if you have nice furniture and you don't want it destroyed read more

All I had was a single leather chair removable cushion to get new foam for. I was blown away by the prices I was quoted over the phone. Pulling up to their shop it sure does not look like much but they had two car that they were re-upholstering and the work looked great. Eric fixed my cushion for 2/3rd's the price of the other quotes and it looks great and was done in two days. I'm hoping I never have to have any upholstery work done but I will not hesitate to come back. read more

Got a bit of bait and switch on an upholstery quote. Told one price with foam and then when I went in to pay it was without foam. Cmon.

Junior and Dagoberto came to my house to give an estimate on repairing 2 chairs from a 7 pc sectional. They were prompt, professional and very courteous. They also went above and beyond by moving the chairs for me. Due to the likely challenge of finding the material and matching it w/ the other 5 pieces they had a great idea on how to take it apart and work the seams into the repair area. I gave 4 stars as we are just getting started on the process. Dagoberto has over 30 years experience I think he said and has seen it all. I'm confident they would do a good job and would not hesitate to call them for this or another job. Others over the last 2 weeks were not even returning my calls. They were able to come the same day we spoke. Considering the work to take them apart and w/ all the seams I think too that it is a fair price. Thanks very much! read more

These guys are a risk to work with. the shop is not organized and the staff are not friendly. I sent in my car for upholstery work. It was a total waste of time and money and I wish I never let them do it. The doors do not close and the seat was done wrong to the extent that I cannot drive the car. I determined that they were not worth having them rectify the work. I will have to have it redone somewhere else. Yes. They are inexpensive but you will get what you pay for. They do not deserve a single star. Zero. My advice, go to a good professional clean and organized shop or simply do not do it unless it is for a pillow or a small chair. I am sorry I had to write this but I would not want someone else to experience what I went through. read more

They did cushions for outdoor furniture with heavy upholstery Sunbrella fabric with cording. It's held up beautifully and looks fantastic. The next job was Sunbrella panels for my patio cover and they did another beautiful job. The shop worried me a little but the work has been great, reasonably priced, and done in a short time.
