Friendly staff great beer selection affordable prices .A large variety of rare Bourbons. This place is my go to place to shop .

Friendly and knowledgeable help, a nice selection at multiple price points, and good value make this a very solid neighborhood wine shop. Would be proud to have it on my street, that's for sure. On this night I was going to a freind's house for venison and he pulled out two Mourvèdre heavy wines that were both great with the dinner. Not very expensive either. I even questioned if they were going to be the best wine I could get for this dinner and they did not try to upsell me to a pricier bottle that would not have been as good with the food. Integrity like that keeps people coming back and makes better long term value for everyone. Wish I found it everywhere, but regardless, very happy to have found it here, and I will return. This place is GREAT!!! OG Moraga establishment- fair prices- great selection of spirits- knowledgeable staff- ez access- always have parking read more

Moraga Wine & Spirits - A delicious beverage that is carried alongside alcoholic beverages - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Moraga, California

I know it's a lot of pressure building an entire store based on the concept of a single aisle in the grocery store 90 yards away, but this buffoon had to add insult to injury by lecturing me on his lack of knowledge about the delta plus variant in California, and how I didn't need a mask. Thanks, Dr Jaegermeister, but I think I'll take my direction from the head of the most knowledgeable consumer health advisory panel in the most powerful nation in the world. read more

Good selection of alcohols and reasonably priced considering Safeway won't have everything. Will be doing business again with them

Would be nice if the cashier wouldn't lecture me on his pseudo scientific theories on covid and the like. I usually go to Safeway or Canyon Brewery but I wanted Pliny The Elder. Last year's review I made is still valid as well. read more

Great selection of.. well everything. Their craft beer selection does have the latest and greatest and cannot find at a lot of places. And their mainstay beers are there for a reason. Booze and wine too, can find something you may not get elsewhere. And their prices are, well let's just say an out of town friend of mine came with me awhile ago and said, "it's like of the Sopranos robbed a liquor store their prices too low". When I'm there I generally know what I want and get in get out quickly, but a few times one if their guys lectured me on his right wing conspiracy views and kept going and going... and going on and on. I wanted to ask if he had just read the front page of Infowars but I decided to hold back for obvious reasons. In all this place is great. They have everything you want and more. read more

Damn! Some pretty harsh reviews of this local small business. Before I went soberish, I used to drop by here often. I am not fancy but I do like a good wine. I also like nice people. I have never been disappointed on either front at Moraga Wine and Spirits. In fact I think I am due a visit! read more

Excellent selection, very competitive pricing, the staff are really professional as well. In some ways it feels like stepping back in time with the old registers and the CRT tvs still up, but it's a good way, y'know? Love this store. Lines at safeway are murder, prices better here anyway. The free ice w purchase is completely insanely awesome. read more

I wish I had read the reviews about the cashier's rants on Covid and not gone in there. I just want Vodka without the lecture. I will not go back. Creepy read more

Looking for Champagne? Look no further! On the way to the Church, us bridesmaids were in desperate need for champagne... We spotted the specialty liquor store and had no need to look any further. They had it all. We stocked up on our Chandon and then remembered that drinking in a church parking lot would be a sin! The clerk offered us plastic cups at no charge and we enjoyed our champagne in front of the liquor store... I couldn't imagine anything classier than 6 bridesmaids standing outside a small town liquor store holding a bottle in one and a cup in the other. (see picture) Cheers! read more

Always the best customer service! Everyone is knowledgeable on most beverages they have in stock!

I only leave reviews for shops/business that are really worth 5 stars. Moraga Wine & Spirits is the best liquor shop in the Lamorinda area. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Every time I go, I am always greeted with friendliness and Joey is super helpful! read more

These guys are excellent. Awesome beer selection, lots of Belgium and German beers..quite a few that you won't find at larger stores like BevMo. Customer service is good, and the guys there are beer enthusiasts too; always have solid recommendations They also have cigars, which they make good suggestions for, too :) That's good enough for 4 stars easy, I'll throw on the 5th star for supporting a small, locally owned business read more

a whole wall full of microbeers, in six packs, singles, big bottles. all priced. priced reasonably except for singles which are at a premium. pours: -blue frog grog grill ipa (22 0z, 7%, 3.99+) smooth drink, slight bite, subtle buzz 3 stars -triple exulatation (eel river-organic, 22oz, 9.7%, 6.49+) certified organic, smooth drinking, no bite, slow buzz 3 stars on draught: -this place can be addictive, habitforming. -think police station nearby so be careful. put booze into bag... read more

Great little locally owned liquor store. They have a Huge selection of micro, craft and Belgian beers. As well as some of the lowest prices on liquor and wine, I honestly am shocked at how low. It is worth the drive to check it out if your looking for great deals. Very friendly staff, who are knowledgeable about their stock. I just wish they carried a larger selection of lower priced sparkling wines, but not everyone is as huge of a fan of the bubbly as me. Buck Bev Mo and keep small businesses like these alive. read more

Used to go here alot back in the day. Been here recently as well. They are always friendly and polite. The store is clean and very well stocked on whatever booze you are requiring. A big plus for me is they stock Trappist Ales! From what I understand the owner of this store has a few other locations. One in Oakland(never been there), one in Lafayette, and one in Concord on Monument Blvd(which is similar and also has a very good selection). read more

My favorite place to go for craft beer. Their Microbrew selection is bested only by their sister store on monument in concord. They're consistently well stocked and I always find a new brewery I am interested in test driving. If you're looking for folksy chit chat, this isn't your place. If you're looking for selection and a professional presentation, they are worth the drive. read more

This store is amazing!! Today I went in looking for some new beers to try, and noticed they had so many New beers I've never seen. Can't wait to go back and try the others. Staff seemed very friendly!! read more

The beer selection is worse than that of Safeway. If you're between 21 and 30 and have an out of state ID, you will not be sold alcohol. I get that I look young, but c'mon. The owner is trying too hard to cover his ass to actually allow people of legal age to buy alcohol. Pretty sad. read more

This is the best place for liquor. One would assume it is expensive since it is a family owned business, but their prices are pretty competitive and I have experienced excellent service from the owner. Would go back in a heartbeat over Bevmo.. read more

Solid beer and wine selection for a neighborhood liquor store. Especially the beer selection- good craft selection and fair prices.

Been coming to this store on and off for years. Decent selection and prices, but the ornery young men who staff the store need customer service training. On one recent occasion we were essentially told to leave when we entered the store 5-10 minutes before closing, and on another occasion I received a completely unnecessary, sarcastic answer when I asked which register was open. Who needs that? Not us, so you've lost a couple of local customers. read more

The fine folks at Moraga and Lafayette Liquors just raised the price of Gilbey's vodka from $2.98 to $3.98 per half pint. Now I can appreciate their not wanting to encourage folks like myself from crowding the registrars when folks are waiting to purchase their $30 bottles of wine, but this is fucked up. read more

I really like this place it's usually about $2 cheaper than the Safeway across the street plus the guys that runs the place are funny and pretty mellow. read more

It's a little strange that a local family-run liquor store would have a better selection and far better prices than Bevmo or Safeway, and yet it's true. At least that's true for the hard liquors, I don't buy much beer or wine so I couldn't say about that. Really, even if Bevmo or Safeway have liquors on sale, they'll still end up costing more than the regular prices at Moraga Liquors. It's part of a local chain, there's also a store in Lafayette near the Safeway, and some other ones in Concord or Walnut Creek I think. read more

I love Moraga Liquors. Awesome beer and spirits selection, excellent prices..what else is there to say!

The selection and prices here are unmatched! They are extremely helpful too. You won't be disappointed.

went in there today, on a sunday around 1p. Looked around and asked the guy if they carried MGD. No response, but he looked around and said "no." I asked if they were out or just don't carry it. Barely a response. Asked if I could redeem some lotto tickets and he gave me a look of "you've got to be kidding me." Was going to buy some more, but he was so rude, forget it. Like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but i'm writing this because the last time he was unfriendly. This time he was RUDE!!. Why do people like him work retail??? read more

This sexy lil dive of a store has everything you need. The first time I ever walked in Elton John's 'Benny & The Jets' was playing, I mentioned my love for him & the gent at the register whipped 'round and sang along in a lovely comedic falsetto... Need I say more? read more

Excellent prices and selection, plus top-notch guidance. Was especially pleased to see craft beers/ales priced so low, especially the Belgians. read more

Great prices, great selection, friendly and helpful staff. This is the best place for liquor in the East Bay, that I'm aware of, and it's worth taking a trip from oakland on occasion. read more

Love love love this place. They got the best deals on whiskey and other spirits. Even rare to find Japanese whiskey when you find it here it's not too expensive. I want specialty beer here and it's always the cheapest in town. I go here often and they are very very friendly. read more

Great selection of quality brews. I was there on a Friday, a big guy helped me what great service. The guy I spoke to knew beer and made a few good suggestions. He also said they have another store in Concord that has a ton more beer, and if I print off a copy of their Yelp page I will get 10% off. Wine looked ok a lot of stuff I could find at Safeway and the prices seemed high. Great selection of booze, being a rum drinker I was in heaven. A ton of good rum for the sipping. Worth the stop for beer or rum if you live in Moraga, but stick to Safeway for your wine. read more

These guys have crazy prices and pretty good selection but the service I've seen recently was terrible. The employees don't seem to know or care about their products and getting anyone to really answer questions on the wine was like pulling teeth. I used to come in here years ago and the staff was halfway decent but the current group is almost embarrassing to talk with or try and get help from. The prices are good but I'm not sure if it's worth it. read more
