After returning from a long trip my car wouldn't start. I called around town for jump service and oddly no one in Moraga offers. However Moraga Service Center offer a jump kit. So I walked down and picked up. Within an hour my car was purring like a kitchen. And when I returned the jump kit expecting to pay (and I'm not sure if I should say this) there was NO charge! Convenient location, friendly service and above all - they don't price gouge. They also have service bays which is great to have nearby in a pinch. read more

I went here after my sister-in-law recommended this place! She said this business was good and a honest place. I was tired of smog stations and mechanics gouging me or having long lines to wait during Covid. So I always look for small local businesses to support! Sam is very personable and friendly! He was very respectful. He told me the other smog station were crooks trying to get me to repair there when I didn't need it since my intake was the right one and was stamped and dated. The Subaru dealer and the auto parts store all said the same thing and didn't understand why the first guy didn't pass me. I was wondering also because it had that same part throughout other smogs and it passed fine, so I couldn't understand why it didn't pass this time? Sam knew his business and he says he gets people from my area all the time who the smog stations there cheat the customer so we would do repairs with them. He said my car was fine and showed me the part I had was approved on the computer. He saved me $ 363. for the new part alone not including labor( other guy wanted 1000.00 and 500. For the intake exchange)! It is hard to find someone honest these days in the car industry and when you find someone good, you want to stick with them and let others know to protect them from unscrupulous people! So from now on, I will have him for my go to smog guy ( I have 5 cars - big family!) I rather do business with honest and good people and keep them in business than crooked ones! read more

If you need a smog done on your car, I highly recommend Motaga Service Center. I made an appt., but they also take drive ups. Very nice greetings from all the men working there. I drove the car into the bay and sat in the waiting area. One of the men told me he checked air and fluids and everything was fine. The smog was completed shortly after. I paid and drove off after just 15 MINUTES!! I'd give them 10 stars for service and old world charm!! read more

I went in for a smog check last week and had a terrific experience. Sam was so nice to me, not knowing that having to do this smog was not something I was looking forward to. My Dad passed and this is the first smog on the car, so my emotions were all over the place The smog check went perfect, Sam even checked the air in my tires and topped off fluid levels, which is such a Dad thing to do, I know my Pops would have done the same thing. Sam then shared with me pictures of his precious grandchildren, and like any proud Dad/Grandfather he had such beautiful things to say, the smile on his face was just precious. I called Moraga smog to make an appointment. Was trying to bring my car to Moraga smog but mistakenly brought it to this place. I told them I had a reservation and they took my car right away (strange as I didn't make a reservation with them). They quoted my ~$90 originally but I referenced the ~$40 coupon from website. The man then agreed to charge less. But still ultimately charged me $40 for the smog test plus $8 for a certificate plus $15 for a "high performance vehicle charge" (my car is an Audi A4) for a total of $63. Bottom line: go to Moraga Smog, not this place. This place will charge you as much as they can get away with. read more

My family and I always get our gas at this station for all of our cars because it's one of the few places that accepts debit cards at cash prices with no additional fees. Today, I stopped in for a smog check. Such great service! Not only did they complete the smog test, they also checked my oil and tire pressure. Feels weird to leave a review for a gas station/service center, but these guys treated me so well it felt like I had to pay them back. I pulled in here to put air in my tires. Air is free in California but most places don't tell you that, or their air is broken (as it is at the Chevron across the street) and you gotta drive on. The air here was not broken, and when I asked to get it turned on, the man at the counter cheerfully said "air is always on and always free!" So I went to fill up, only my tires were overinflated. Turns out the last gas station I went to had a messed up pressure gauge on their air pump. Yikes. The man outside (I did not get anyone's name, I am sorry) came over to help, checked my tire pressure, told me I needed new tires and then advised me that Costco was the most affordable place to get them. He let the air out on each tire to get them to the right pressure. I wasn't even a paying customer and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of and would be safe out on the road long into the future. Seriously, this place is amazing. And clearly these men love working here, because it shows in how happy and helpful they are. Next time I'm in the area and need gas or car service, this will be my go-to. Thank you!! read more

For smog checks I find this station to be prompt, honest, thorough, and friendly. Recently I had to get a smog check for my daughter's Honda after she moved out of state. Since the car had not been driven for a while, the car had to be jump started - something that will cause the catalytic converter's sensors to reset until the car has been driven through its "drive cycle". Advice on what that means exactly (and how to address it) was variable and confusing - and, believe me, it's not something you want to experiment with at the last minute when selling a car. After two unsuccessful checks at another station, I followed the instructions the MSC technician gave me and the car passed on the next try. read more

I went here recently to have my car smoged, which can usually be quite an unpleasant experience, but Sam was awesome. He was very upfront about the cost and was very helpful in explaining what he was doing. The last time i went some where for a smog (this place in Walnut Creek) their ad said $29.99 i ended up spending over $100 with tons of hidden fees. Sam is friendly and professional couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and family.... only downside is its a little out of the way but well worth it in my book read more

this place is the cheapest in town if you wanna pay cash otherwise there is another station near rheem that is usually very close for credit. The employees are occasionally a little slow on noticing if someone is in the little mini mart they have but as soon as they see you your already walking back to your car ready to pump. read more

I left Safeway in Moraga today and realized very quickly that I had a flat tire. I immediately called AAA but it was going to take over an hour for them to get to Moraga. My husband, who was at work in Oakland, encouraged me to walk over to one of the nearby service stations. I walked over to Moraga Service Center to see if they could help. The attendant at the desk was very friendly and passed me along to Sam. Sam instructed me to go to Osh and purchase a can of Fix-a-Flat spray. Then he drove me over to my car and filled the tire with the spray so I could drive it to the station. Back at the station he filled the tire with air and inspected it for nails. The tire was ok to drive the mile and a half to my house where my husband could do a further inspection and change the tire. All of this was done in about 20 minutes, free of charge. Sam was super helpful, professional and kind. When I asked what I owed him he said 'Oh, nothing! Merry Christmas!' I truly appreciate this sort of small town customer service and it's refreshing that it still exists. I will definitely be bringing future business to Moraga Service Center. Thank you Sam! read more

This business helped put our spare tire on when we had a flat and when we drove off the lot, the tire fell off the car in the middle of the road. The damage cost us $1200 and when we contacted the business to ask for their insurance to file a claim- they have been rude, haven't returned our calls or ignored our requests.
