The contract (Quote #3975 - $150,000) clearly includes upgrading the main residential electrical service to 200 AMP and installing the awning above the ADU access door as part of the project scope. These items were presented in the company's response as if they were additional work, but they appear explicitly in the signed contract. I have also included an email dated Aug 20 from the project manager confirming the project was "on track for completion in 3-4 months." The project ultimately took around 6 months to complete. Additionally, the electrical work referenced in their response included an EV circuit, which is typically required for new construction and ADU projects under the 2022 California Electrical Code. This is a standard code requirement rather than a discretionary upgrade. These screenshots provide context for my experience during the project. Throughout the build I frequently had to verify measurements, coordinate ordering timelines, and raise planning questions that would normally fall under project management. Very early in the process, we were directed toward a long list of surveys, consultants, engineering analyses, and vendor engagements that ultimately proved unnecessary for the scope of work we actually wanted to pursue. By the time we stepped back from the project, we had already spent a substantial amount of money with both her company directly and vendors she directed us to with absolutely NOTHING to show for it. Throughout the process, communication felt condescending and dismissive. Rather than helping us thoughtfully evaluate practical options within our goals, we increasingly felt pressured toward a far more extensive and expensive scope of work -- including a complete pool demolition/rebuild that we ultimately did not want to undertake. We were explicitly told that without moving forward with that major project, she would not undertake any other work on our lot. In the end, the experience felt far more focused on escalating project scope and costs than on collaborative problem-solving or customer partnership. I could not recommend this company less. My advice to anyone considering working with them is to proceed very cautiously, get multiple outside opinions, and insist on extremely clear written justification for every recommended survey, consultant, and scope expansion before spending significant money.

About a year and a half after the work was completed, one of the towel racks became lose and we were concerned that it was an installation issues... Kevin's team promptly came out and repaired (turned out the rack had proper fasteners and installed correctly so damage was our fault). Six weeks later the project was complete with all appliances in, custom cabinets installed, new tiles and countertops in. They even worked some weekends. The whole crew were really great, expert, timely, and very easy to have in the house. They were friendly, honest, responsive, and experienced. His cabinet maker is local and delivered a great design, timely delivery and was very responsive. His countertop fabricator also did an excellent job. The interior doors were well made by a local fabricator. Expert installation and painting of the doors by Diablo View. They all look amazing and make such a difference to the house.
