Terrible start to this place. The promo code for a free shake the app gave me for signing up did not work. No place to scan my app QR code for points. Employee told me to scan the code on the receipt. No code on my receipt to scan. The burger itself is as small as a McDonald's double cheeseburger, just with a very big bun and smashed patties to try and make it look bigger. Just as much meat but at a premium price. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger ($11) and a friend and I split a shareable fries. Burgers range from $9 to $15, then add $6 to make it a combo including fries and a drink. The burger came with a small -- you can't even call it a strip -- of bacon. Overdone too. (see picture) The fries are styled like a Steak and Shake or Islands. Nothing was seasoned. Both my friend and I were still hungry after leaving. I feel ripped off and insulted. Save your money and go elsewhere like In n Out. Second time here. My daughter loved it so I came back to grab her a burger and to try a matcha shake for myself. The matcha shake is good, it's very thick so be sure to use a boba straw, and it is quite sweet so be prepared - it is not traditional matcha. That said, it still hit the spot and it was so heavy my daughter and I ended up sharing it. The service is on point. They're still working out the bugs as they've only been open for a few days now, but they're friendly and more than gracious (and did I mention the burgers are good?) It's a bright and friendly atmosphere, and there's indoor and outdoor seating options. We've been twice now, and my recommendation is to give it a try. :) read more

On Monday, January 19, 2026, at approximately 1:14 p.m., I placed an order that included three individual burger patties, along with other items. After reviewing my receipt, I noticed that only one patty had been entered. I returned to the cashier to request that the remaining two patties be added. During this interaction, the cashier re-entered the order; however, the new receipt reflected two regular burger sandwiches instead of individual patties. I explained that I only wanted two additional patties, consistent with the original. The cashier informed me that she had been instructed by her boss to enter the order as regular burger sandwiches. I then asked to speak with the supervisor for clarification. When he approached, he asked for both receipts and took them from my hand, then issued a cash refund without any explanation. I informed him that the original transaction had been paid by credit card and requested clarification regarding the policy. I also politely asked for his name. He stated that he was the owner but refused to provide his name or any further explanation. The man was approximately 5'4" tall with a stocky build. Due to his rude and unprofessional behavior, my family and friends who are regular customers and have decided to stop patronizing this establishment. I was extremely disappointed by the rude and mean behavior I experienced as a customer. This was the worst service I have encountered. My son loves burgers and milkshakes, so I brought him here for lunch on his spring break, and this place did not disappoint!! We both got burgers, shared an order of fries, and he got an Oreo shake. The total was $30. The fries were ok...they were good but not the best ever. They were slightly crispy and a bit seasoned. The burgers were outstanding. I think my son devoured his in about 5 seconds--it was a decent size, but he just ate it so fast because it was so good. My cheeseburger was delicious too. A nice thin smash burger with a delicious homemade bun and the perfect ratio of fresh toppings. My son enjoyed the shake too--it looked thick. (He didn't share a sip with me.) Most likely a ONE AND DONE. This was my first time eating at Mooyah's. I ordered a single cheeseburger, fries and a soda. The meat on the burger was so thin, I could hardly taste it. Whenever I took a bite, I tasted the bun, the sauce and the lettuce. If, I ever go back, I will definitely order the double burger. The hamburger bread was soft and fluffy; it tasted fresh. The Mooyah sauce tasted weak; I hardly noticed it. It did not impact the burger one way or another. The fries were so soft, dark and oily that I could not get myself to finish them. Mentally, all I could think of was how these oily fries were clogging my arteries, with each and every bite. A would say, a single order of fries is enough to share. On the positive end the restaurant was clean. The interior tables were also clean, but the outside ones needed to be wiped down; not sure who is responsible for this. Which is great because the food comes out very fast, but that does depend on how busy it is. My order is simple, just a grilled cheese. Its a soild choice for me. I've been to some restaurants and I can't get a grilled cheese half as good. You can switch out the cheese too for an extra charge but I like a simple american cheese. MOOYAH!! I think I get the name, it's kinda like Booyah but it's Moo because of like you eat meat here from cows and they say moo. I do love the name of this place, perhaps more than the food. Being an exploratory yelper the wife and I decided to give Mooyah a try last week. Perhaps I had expectations that were too high but the cheeseburger I ended up getting was just kinda boring to by honest. The wife had a bacon burger which did have crispy bacon but again, the meat could have used some salt at least. The bun was a clear stand out, I understand they make them there and it is clear that they are fresh. Kinda spongey, but not too soft or squishy they had a very good texture. Unfortunately, that's where the complements end. By no means were the burgers bad or anything they were just standard and we didn't feel they were anything special. The fries were kinda like a mix, mostly leaning on five guys style but some in-n-out aspects as well. Might have been better if they had some seasoning on them to give them a little flair. Staff was just okay had like five of them in the back laughing and talking pretty loud with some cussing dropped in. I was able to visit this particular branch of the establishment not once, but twice earlier today, and I gotta say, I was actually impressed. The food was solid, the service was nice and efficient and the interior of the restaurant was clean and presentable. My first two visits really garnered my time and money, which I will explain why. For my first visit, me and my mom sat down for some burgers and a shareable portion of French fries. My mom ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and American cheese with Mooyah sauce on the side, and surprisingly, she loved it. I ordered mine with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, fried onion strings and barbecue sauce. The burger was surprisingly enjoyable; despite the beef slightly lacking in seasoning, its natural flavor was able to pull on through. The buns, from what I was told, were actually baked in the restaurant, though rather lukewarm, that didn't bind the overall burger experience much. The bacon was pretty solid, the cheese was not so overbearing and the barbecue sauce was able to balance things out to make my burger the kind I would want more of. As for the French fries, they were very well made and tasted better than I expected. Good thing I ordered a shareable size because my mom wanted more of them as much as I did. For my second visit, I ordered a large Reese's Peanut Butter Cup milkshake to-go. The ice cream was nice and delicious and the peanut butter cups complimented with the ice cream nicely. In addition, they served straws that were wide enough for customers to sip the chunky toppings along with the milkshake. The milkshake part of the drink was not so thick and I was able to enjoy it from start to finish. After my very first two visits in one day, I can say with full confidence that this might be one of my favorite burger joints. The burgers, fries, sodas and milkshakes were delicious, the service was top notch, the staff were friendly and the inside of the restaurant was up to sanitation standards. Had to open up my bag twice to get the 4th burger but they gave out wrong one. Ordered 1 cheeseburger, 2 MDC, 1 mushroom burger and 1 grilled cheese with avocado. Each burger comes in a box so you can tell that 1 was missing but the front desk ppl didn't "believe" me and kept telling me all 4 are there when it clearly wasn't! Then found out that they put 2 cheeseburgers instead of 2 MDC ($2 overcharge). Grilled cheese also didn't have avocado which was extra $1.79. I even tipped just to find out this mess. I've been going to the Irvine location for years, so happy they opened one close to my area. I maintain that they have the best burgers I've ever tried. This is by far my favorite hamburger. I used to go to the one in Irvine all the time. I am so glad we have one much closer nowadays. Ingredients are always fresh, portions are the right size (not too big, not too small), and staff is very friendly. We went to Mooyah in Cypress on Friday around 2:30pm. They are nice, neat and clean. Located in a food strip mall where there are several different places to eat. Normally we just go to Tacomasa which is always the bomb, but we've been wanting to try Mooyah since they opened. We were greeted and the employees were courteous and friendly. Ordered and got our food very quickly. Now for the fries, they were Extremely salty, to the point of not eating them because you had to wipe off the excessive salt. I'm an Ocean dude and Love salt, but this was just too much, unfortunately the burger was a bit salty too. The meat was good quality and aside from the salt it was flavorful, the bun a bit soggy from the really large tomato and salad slaw. We each got the double house burger and it was just ok. We split a coffee shake and that was very good. Employees and cleanliness 5 . Sorry to say this but, Burger and fries 2 and the shake 5 . We really needed an amazing burger place in the area and this place has real potential. We like to go to a place where the food is always the same, so we're a bit apprehensive to return. I've been going to the Irvine location for a number of years; so happy that this Mooyah just opened right near my house! I've tried pretty much all of the alleged best burgers in SoCal and I'll put Mooyah right at the top of the list. One of the best burgers you will find anywhere. And their burgers seem to be cooked medium/medium-well which is perfect (I don't care for rare/raw burgers). On top of that, their fries are some of the best as well (way superior to In-n-Out fries). Have been here 3 times now & happy to say that this location is just as good as the Irvine location. read more
