Honestly, anyone leaving a bad review must be nuts -- some people just need something to complain about. (This is coming from a guy, who doesn't shy away from leaving bad reviews) If they serve burgers in heaven... they're MooYah burgers. And don't even get me started on the fries. Second time here. My daughter loved it so I came back to grab her a burger and to try a matcha shake for myself. The matcha shake is good, it's very thick so be sure to use a boba straw, and it is quite sweet so be prepared - it is not traditional matcha. That said, it still hit the spot and it was so heavy my daughter and I ended up sharing it. The service is on point. They're still working out the bugs as they've only been open for a few days now, but they're friendly and more than gracious (and did I mention the burgers are good?) It's a bright and friendly atmosphere, and there's indoor and outdoor seating options. We've been twice now, and my recommendation is to give it a try. :) read more

Service, 10/10. Food, 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. The place as an upbeat, fresh vibe to it. The tables and counters are very clean and so is the kitchen. Which is great because the food comes out very fast, but that does depend on how busy it is. My order is simple, just a grilled cheese. Its a soild choice for me. I've been to some restaurants and I can't get a grilled cheese half as good. You can switch out the cheese too for an extra charge but I like a simple american cheese. The cashier Nataly is so efficient when it comes to putting your order in. She's honestly such a nice person. I come to this Mooyah as much as can as I live in HB, so this is the only close by. MOOYAH!! I think I get the name, it's kinda like Booyah but it's Moo because of like you eat meat here from cows and they say moo. I do love the name of this place, perhaps more than the food. Being an exploratory yelper the wife and I decided to give Mooyah a try last week. Perhaps I had expectations that were too high but the cheeseburger I ended up getting was just kinda boring to by honest. The wife had a bacon burger which did have crispy bacon but again, the meat could have used some salt at least. The bun was a clear stand out, I understand they make them there and it is clear that they are fresh. Kinda spongey, but not too soft or squishy they had a very good texture. Unfortunately, that's where the complements end. By no means were the burgers bad or anything they were just standard and we didn't feel they were anything special. The fries were kinda like a mix, mostly leaning on five guys style but some in-n-out aspects as well. Might have been better if they had some seasoning on them to give them a little flair. Staff was just okay had like five of them in the back laughing and talking pretty loud with some cussing dropped in. This place is BEYOND mid. The combo itself is OVERPRICED and it's not even close to being as good. I would eat this only on a yearly basis or something like that. It was genuinely nothing great. Could go down the street to in n out and get a better r burger for half the price. The people were great though, very helpful and it was clean. I was able to visit this particular branch of the establishment not once, but twice earlier today, and I gotta say, I was actually impressed. The food was solid, the service was nice and efficient and the interior of the restaurant was clean and presentable. My first two visits really garnered my time and money, which I will explain why. For my first visit, me and my mom sat down for some burgers and a shareable portion of French fries. My mom ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and American cheese with Mooyah sauce on the side, and surprisingly, she loved it. I ordered mine with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, fried onion strings and barbecue sauce. The burger was surprisingly enjoyable; despite the beef slightly lacking in seasoning, its natural flavor was able to pull on through. The buns, from what I was told, were actually baked in the restaurant, though rather lukewarm, that didn't bind the overall burger experience much. The bacon was pretty solid, the cheese was not so overbearing and the barbecue sauce was able to balance things out to make my burger the kind I would want more of. As for the French fries, they were very well made and tasted better than I expected. Good thing I ordered a shareable size because my mom wanted more of them as much as I did. For my second visit, I ordered a large Reese's Peanut Butter Cup milkshake to-go. The ice cream was nice and delicious and the peanut butter cups complimented with the ice cream nicely. In addition, they served straws that were wide enough for customers to sip the chunky toppings along with the milkshake. The milkshake part of the drink was not so thick and I was able to enjoy it from start to finish. After my very first two visits in one day, I can say with full confidence that this might be one of my favorite burger joints. The burgers, fries, sodas and milkshakes were delicious, the service was top notch, the staff were friendly and the inside of the restaurant was up to sanitation standards. Make sure you check your order as they can't get things straight. Wrong burger included, no paid add ons included and they initially tried giving me 3 birgers when ordered 4. Had to open up my bag twice to get the 4th burger but they gave out wrong one. Ordered 1 cheeseburger, 2 MDC, 1 mushroom burger and 1 grilled cheese with avocado. Each burger comes in a box so you can tell that 1 was missing but the front desk ppl didn't "believe" me and kept telling me all 4 are there when it clearly wasn't! Then found out that they put 2 cheeseburgers instead of 2 MDC ($2 overcharge). Grilled cheese also didn't have avocado which was extra $1.79. I even tipped just to find out this mess. Mooyah Burger taste great! A bit in the greasy side but overall, a tasty MDC Cheeseburger. Fries were good but not great! Oreo shake tastes great! Very thick with the right consistency. Environment of the restaurant was clean and cashier was friendly while helpful! Would I come back? Yes and no. Originally went because they had grand opening specials, have been back because their burgers and fries are delicious. Restaurant is very clean, staff is friendly, and as mentioned, food is good. I like the variety of toppings you can customize your burger with. Haven't tried their hotdog options but looking forward to doing so. read more

I've been going to the Irvine location for years, so happy they opened one close to my area. I maintain that they have the best burgers I've ever tried. The bun is soft and fluffy, meat is fresh and flavorful and the veggies/add-ons make for a perfect burger. Shakes are phenomenal as well, the Oreo is a must try. Fries are solid too. 10/10 read more

This is by far my favorite hamburger. I used to go to the one in Irvine all the time. I am so glad we have one much closer nowadays. Ingredients are always fresh, portions are the right size (not too big, not too small), and staff is very friendly. We went to Mooyah in Cypress on Friday around 2:30pm. They are nice, neat and clean. Located in a food strip mall where there are several different places to eat. Normally we just go to Tacomasa which is always the bomb, but we've been wanting to try Mooyah since they opened. We were greeted and the employees were courteous and friendly. Ordered and got our food very quickly. Now for the fries, they were Extremely salty, to the point of not eating them because you had to wipe off the excessive salt. I'm an Ocean dude and Love salt, but this was just too much, unfortunately the burger was a bit salty too. The meat was good quality and aside from the salt it was flavorful, the bun a bit soggy from the really large tomato and salad slaw. We each got the double house burger and it was just ok. We split a coffee shake and that was very good. Employees and cleanliness 5 . Sorry to say this but, Burger and fries 2 and the shake 5 . We really needed an amazing burger place in the area and this place has real potential. We like to go to a place where the food is always the same, so we're a bit apprehensive to return. I've been going to the Irvine location for a number of years; so happy that this Mooyah just opened right near my house! I've tried pretty much all of the alleged best burgers in SoCal and I'll put Mooyah right at the top of the list. One of the best burgers you will find anywhere. And their burgers seem to be cooked medium/medium-well which is perfect (I don't care for rare/raw burgers). On top of that, their fries are some of the best as well (way superior to In-n-Out fries). Have been here 3 times now & happy to say that this location is just as good as the Irvine location. read more

Ordered the MDC burger combo with regular fries. Came out hot and juicy; probably one of the juicier burgers from a chain I've had in a while. Fries were crispy outside and fluffy on the inside. I like the bread for burger, very soft. Burger alone is $11, on the pricier side, but honestly it felt more filling than going to McD or Habit for the same price. Staff was friendly. Manager(?) walked around to check on customers. He also explained how to receive reward points: there is no scanner on their end, you scan the barcode on your receipt at the bottom. Came around 2pm in the afternoon during off hour so not busy. Food was ready ~5 minutes after ordering. The kitchen is open to see from the dining area. As a new restaurant you can tell there's some kinks to iron out but overall service was good. Will come back try different burgers next time. read more

Solid burgers! Very flavorful, juicy well seasoned patties, soft semi sweet bun (i think theyre brioche), crisp veggies and solid crispy french fries. This place is not your typical fast food burger joint and makes these burgers fresh and made to order which obviously already a huge plus. My wife and I were coming back from San Diego and we wanted something to so I searched up best burgers in Carlsbad and Mooyah came up so went to try it was not disappointed my wife ordered the Turkey Burger she loved it she said full of flavor and a large helping of sweet potatoe fries on top of that and I ordered the new menu item The patty Melt best patty melt I have gere had and the helping size of fries which were good as well was amazing highly recommend this oh and also met the Owner really nice Man we will be back soon!!!! read more
