Listen, the hamburger was great. Hot & tasty. The potato chips, however, cold as could be. Seems they were just sitting around for a while, or not made to order. I stop here once in a while, on my way back from San Diego to OC. This is the first time I've tried the potato chips. Not impressed... It kinda ruined the meal for me. Perhaps, to their credit, it took them a while to make my Oreo shake. That was good too. While the place seems popular for takeout, it took my meal 15 minutes to be ready. I could try it once more without the potato chips, and still order the shake. That would tell me if the was the shake was the delay, but still, 15 minutes is too long for a hamburger... read more

Pretty tasty food, best burger around the area. Fluffy bun, extra saucy. App reward is what had me come back, prices are a lil higher for not getting fries or anything with them. read more

Not the prettiest photos but I ended up getting the kids meal. Wow the size of the burger was surprising! I wasn't expecting for it to be this size! I was able to add on additional toppings no extra charge which was great! The burger was so tender and juicy! The fires were delicious! This is definitely a great burger spot. Staff were so friendly and helpful! Great customer service. read more

Yes, we loved it I ordered from the app and arrived to eat there. The burgers were good, the shakes were amazing but the fries I'll pass on next time, my only real complaint was the tables were dirty and dusty as well as the restroom I would really like to see more effort to the cleanliness of the place. It's definitely not a place to take the whole family to it's pretty small and tables are limited, but again the burgers are good. read more

Great burgers, good fries, excellent shakes. A touch on the spendy side, but wasn't isn't at this point? I'm not actually a huge burger fan, but occasionally will get a craving and so I want it to be a *good* one. Moolah is fortunately able to meet that standard! Also we tried the chicken tenders and they are fine. Nothing to write home about, but perfectly serviceable. read more

We've been coming here once a week for about a year. I wish I knew about it sooner the quality, prices and staff along with a very welcoming owner is pretty amazing. Easy ordering and extremely reasonable prices in today's economy. Six out of five stars! read more

It was my first time in. Owner (maybe manager) helped me out get value for my time here letting me know it is a lot of fries and the quality and taste will leave me happy. Kept it simple with a bacon cheese burger with avocado and a side of fries. Food was excellent and he even came over to check on me to make sure I was enjoying the food. I appreciate it when staff members check on people for their first visit. 10/10 I will come again to try their burger bowl options. read more

Definitely the best patty melt that I've had in a long time, the fries were very fresh and the service was amazing, music choice was pretty good. read more

Excellent burgers and fries; prices were better than some others. Would definitely return

Oh my gosh!! AMAZING service! Came in a little too close to closing and Tanner and Jose were phenomenal and more than ready to whip up a couple of delicious burgers and fries!! I cannot recommend this place enough and truly a shoutout to such exceptional teammates! read more

Heard good things about this place so thought I'd give it a whirl while in the area. Greeted immediately by the friendly young lady at the register. Chose the Cheddar Bacon BBQ burger with the house made chips (instead of fries) and a soda. Personally was not a big fan of the BBQ sauce and because of that didn't finish the burger, which was a bummer. The chips were very good and if I were to return in the future I'd try a different burger. read more

This place could beat In N Out in a blind taste test and I say that as a California native Great food Never wait too long Fresh bread made in house Adorable decor A must visit read more

We tried Mooyah for the first time tonight I went in with high expectations and definitely was not disappointed. The burgers were juicy, flavorful and substantial. We particularly like the buns, definitely sets them apart from anything else we've tried. The buns were airy and soft but still had substance. The meat was flavorful and the veggies fresh. We also loved the fries, sweet potato fries, and the freshly made potato chips. If it missed anything, for us it would have been a really good ranch dressing. All in all, excellent! read more

I have to say MOOYAH is officially one of our favorite burger spots. Our first try was a couple weeks ago, and a deal on the App reeled us back in for another visit (first time at this location). The mooyah cheeseburger is a classic in itself and the cooks make this patty perfect. We got the sweet potato fries this visit, and they are definitely a must have! Thanks Mooyah staff for delicious food and service! read more

This place was really good. I have only been once but looking forward to going back again. I had their sweet potato fries and they were really good. The shakes are also good. read more

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes - The MDC Mushroom Swiss Burger - Hot Dogs Near Me - Carlsbad, California

I reviewed MOOYAH when it first opened, about a year and a half. Recently I was noticing in their app that I had bought food there 100 times. It has become my favorite burger of all time. The food is great and the service is great. I usually get food to go because my wife has trouble sitting in most restaurant chairs, which means that I need to re-heat the fries when I get home. 3 minutes in an air fryer does the trick. I've tried everything on their menu that is beef-based has a bun (I'm not a fan of lettuce wraps and don't believe in pseudo-meat). I like the "Well D'Onion" best, but it's pretty spicy and I can't always manage that level of spice. So more often than not I order their "Freedom Rings" burger. My wife always orders "MOOYAH Cheeseburger with no sauce". I have nothing negative to say about MOOYAH. Writing this has made me hungry, but they won't open for another hour. read more

My girlfriend and I went to finally try Mooyah. Well, I am all for customer service and when I get good customer service I let you know and if I get bad I let you know. Well, first unfortunately I did not get her name but the girl at the counter was very helpful and good customer service and for me that is so hard to find but I got it , And I Thank you ! Since we have never been here before we decided to share a Patty Melt. I must say that was good ! I just have to tell you that its in between an upside down toasted hamburger bun. Weird but my opinion. I think on good sourdough bread would have upped this patty melt greatly, nevertheless this was a good patty melt . We also got some fries. Now we are all different as you know and that includes taste and what we like. In & out burger....great fries in my opinion. I personally did not like the fries at all at Mooyah's. In conclusion, I would go back and have another patty melt or a hamburger but I would skip the fries and shake. Yes, I tried a chocolate shake a few days after my first visit and it wasn't what I thought. To me not worth the money. I do recommend the burgers / patty melt and the customer service both times were good including the manager who was very nice ! read more

Found this place a couple years ago. I am always on a quest for a good turkey burger, and they have one. Get it with the crispy onion strings for extra yumminess. But it is the fries that keep me coming back. They are sooo craveable. Eat the food there because the fries are at peak when hot and crispy right from the oil. read more

Driving through Carlsbad checking Google for a good burger spot. Bam! We found a good one! This place is so worthy! Fresh fresh freshly made! Burger was juicy, tasty, grilled onions spot on, not too much bbq sauce, cheeeesy and just overall a great experience. Sharable fries is ALOT of fries, hand cut freshly fried, yum! Clean little burger joint. Service was great, even the manager stopped at our table to check on us. Spread the word, so good! We will be back! read more

Tiny storefront that's big on flavor. I was very surprised that this place was so good. I'm so tired of burger places charging an arm and leg for an average burger and fries. Now you're not paying for a massive burger here. You're paying for a curated flavor-filled burger of high quality. Don't get me wrong, the burgers here are twice the size of Shake Shack. THE BEST QUESONARIO - Single Beef Patty, Green Chile Queso, Fried Onion Strings, Tomato, Jalapeños, Mayo on a homemade bun. This was a unique burger that tasted great. - I would definitely come back. - Ash (owner?) has high quality standards. - Fries were really good, too. - Does a brisk takeaway business. read more

Mooyah's Burger has managed to pull off the ultimate magic trick -- making twenty bucks disappear in exchange for what they call a "combo." For the grand price of almost $20, you get fries, a drink, and a burger that leaves you asking the old Wendy's question: where's the beef? The drink is the same soda you could grab at a gas station for a dollar. And the burger, the supposed centerpiece of the meal, is more bun and air than actual meat. The patty is so thin it might qualify as a garnish rather than the main course. What stings is the audacity of slapping a "premium" price tag on something so ordinary. For twenty dollars, I expect flavor, substance, and some sign that the place cares about what they're serving. Instead, I got a sad excuse for a combo that left me hungrier than when I walked in. If Mooyah wants to charge steakhouse prices, maybe they should start by putting some beef in the burger. Until then, this is less a combo meal and more a comedy of errors at your wallet's expense. read more

Hands down the best burgers AND fries around. They have really perfected burgers and fries. The bun is a potato bun, and is light and brioche like. The patty is perfectly seasoned with fresh toppings (add the onion strings, they're delish). The fries are perfectly fried, hot and fresh. No need for sauce, but if you want something extra, try a side of the queso sauce. Their Milkshakes are pretty great too. Service is friendly and decently fast: order at the counter and your food comes up when it's ready. Ambience is fast casual. read more

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes - Black bean burger (make your own) & sweet potato fries- YUM! - Hot Dogs Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Walked in, immediately noticed the cleanliness of the place was greeted by the cashier where we made our order. They have a variety of burgers, including a build your own burger, which I chose to do the food was good. Everything tastes fresh the fries were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only thing I would recommend that I didn't see on the menu that they did do is grilled onions. I may have missed it, but I did not see it. I had to ask I like the place and we'll be back and definitely would recommend it to anybody looking for a good burger. You can also substitute fries for chips maiden house, which is pretty cool. I do strongly recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

I guess you have to go at lunch when everything is fresh, because when I went there at 2:30 on 6/26/26, not so much. The guy helping me was nice enough but the fries were double dipped lunch leftovers in what smelled like old oil. The cheeseburger would have been good if I did not get the order to go because when I got home about 15 minutes later the bun was saturated. The chocolate shake was good though. I gave 2 stars because one of the reasons I went was to try the real potato fries everyone was raving about. read more

MOOYAH Burgers is the best for Certified Angus Beef burgers. Also, not only are they the best, they have options for all dietary needs/restrictions. They offer vegan, paleo, keto, low calorie, and gluten-free. Like I said, something for everyone. Stop complaining. Place your order online or in the restaurant at the counter. There's indoor and outdoor seating, not a lot, but enough. They offer customizable burgers ("build your own"), hand-cut fries, sweet potato fries, chips, and a big selection of shakes made from REAL ice cream. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing, so order one and enjoy it later, you'll be too full. The burgers are made fresh to order. I have enjoyed the Cheddar Bacon BBQ, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Mooyah Cheesburger. I prefer the sweet potato fries and housemade potato chips over the hand-cut fries. The fries have been dry and overly cooked, very inconsistent. Try the Green Chile Queso with the chips, perfect for dipping! They also have a special MOOYAH sauce, spicy. If you don't want it on your burger, ask for it on the side, it pairs great with the chips. If you are dining with others, order a sharable size, great way to try both fries and chips. They also have family size too! Don't forget to to download the app. Each dollar spent earns 1 point. I've had a few "surprises/points" too, they will throw in random surprises, which add up. It's really simple, using the MOOYAH Rewards App, scan the barcode on your receipt to earn your points. read more

Mooyah is consistently excellent! Fresh-baked buns daily, juicy burgers, and fresh-cut fries that are even better than Five Guys. The owner is always front and center--genuine, welcoming, and takes the time to check in with customers, which really sets this place apart. The staff is friendly, attentive, and moves with purpose. The restaurant is always clean. Best burger & fries you can get at this price point!!! Hands down. Highly recommend. read more

Best burger I've ever had. The staff if friendly and knowledgeable. If my pops (an unofficial burger aficionado) were still with us he would have loved this place and would probably agree that this is hands down better than any other burger joint.
