I am a single female who lives alone and had two large men yelling at me in my home was horrifying. But even more terrifying? The grey tile in the sunlight. They didn't finish the job -- I am going with someone else immediately.

I called VN handyman based on the reviews on yelp. I have to…read moresay yelp let me down this time. The one plus was they arrived on time and that's it. First of all they quote at a very high price so expect haggling. They rush everything and are very sloppy with detail. I was stupid and hired them for a paint job ,when I should have just called a painter. Now that I'm thinking about it allot of the reviews are from people with under five reviews that probably know them and just beef up the five stars. They turned a two day project into one day just to get it done and collect the money. If you hire them micromanage. Painted my bathroom Now my door doesn't shut painted the whole bathroom the same color, yes even the floor boards I think so they could cut cost on the paint even though I told them I wanted the ceiling and the floor trim white. Did not paint the bathroom cabinet under the sink and when I told them they said oh you wanted that painted to, why would I have you paint my whole bathroom and leave out the sink cabinet hence the white paint . they had to drywall some areas and I think they painted right after not allowing it to dry because it's already cracking,I know they didn't sand the walls. Bad experience!

Horrified and still waiting for SureSir to make it right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want…read moreto get a hack job and the runaround. Booking my job was smooth and easy. The "technician" came on Saturday on time. After showing him the bathroom where I needed a medicine cabinet installed, he went to get his tools from his van. Seeing him come back with a starter Stanley tool kit and something in a paper bag was a bit concerning. Seeing that he had not much more than a handsaw and a hammer was more concerning. But he had a busted window on his van, suggesting he probably needed the money, had some bad luck, so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not having fancy tools doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't skilled. In hindsight, I wish I'd have listened to my gut. I walked by mid work a couple of times to see if he needed anything. The hall/doorway doesn't give a good view of the wall he was working on and there was so much debris on the floor, I didn't go inside the bathroom to give it a good look. And I didn't want to hover. The reviews for SureSir are mostly very good... They claim to hire experienced professionals... I was very specific in my job request. Surely, they'd send someone who viewed the request and was experienced. WRONG. Hours later, the tech tells me he's done. From the hall, I see the terrible job he did on the finishing. Now I just want him gone so I say thanks, goodbye. The $400 medicine cabinet I bought is ruined. The bathroom wall is ruined. The vanity may be ruined - it appears he used SPRAY PAINT at some point for some reason and he got it on the stone. The cabinet is nearly THREE INCHES off center. It is set crooked. WTF did he do to the outside??? That's not spackle. He used some sort of foam that he got onto the floor and didn't bother wiping up. Not surprised because he didn't clean up anything except the large piece of drywall. He left debris ALL OVER THE BATHROOM. He made a mess on the sink and didn't wipe up anything. He left blue tape on the bottom side of the cabinet. THE SURESIR TECHNICIAN DID A HORRIFYING JOB. I could have done this myself far better. I hired out because I wanted a PROFESSIONAL to do it right. I immediately called SureSir and told the rep what happened. She told me to text her the photos and a manager would call me. An hour later, one does. She clearly has not seen the photos, but, we make a plan that she would send a new technician over on Tuesday to repair the botched job for free. She apologized for the work but did not seem to understand the level of incompetence. I agreed, but said that I needed to speak to the tech before he came over so I could make sure he knew what he was doing because I did not trust that they would not just send another random "newbie," as she called the first one. On Monday (yesterday) I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called SureSir twice, left a voicemail, sent them a message via the Thumbtack app, to which I got the response: "we'll give you a call in a bit. Please bear with us." I never got a call. Meanwhile, the app is sending me auto-text messages and emails reminding me to pay my invoice. Ha! Now it's Tuesday and I still have not heard from anyone. Until noon, when a rep calls me to remind me to pay my invoice. I explain the situation again and that I've been trying to get someone to call me back about this tech who was supposed to come to my house today. She apologizes and says someone will call me asap. It's been 3 hours now and still, crickets. Frankly, at this point, I do not and would not (WARNING TO YOU) trust this company to have a qualified technician to repair what their horrifically unqualified technician botched. My bathroom is ruined and will cost far more money and time now to repair. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

There I was with a son that was coming home for winter break, and there wasn't a door for his bedroom. I called NUMEROUS handymen in the morning, and I received very high prices since I wanted same day service. I called Wilfredo asking how soon he would be able to install an interior door, and he stated he would be able to do it the following day. He gave me a price for the following day, and I then asked if he would be able to do it today. He squeezed me into his schedule, and installed it in the evening! He did NOT charge me extra for same day service. I am thankful that Wilfredo was nice enough to work in the evening just so that I would have the door installed before my son arrives. In fact, when he arrived I asked him if he could do a couple other things, and he went to home depot just to get those additional items. They wore those booties on their shoes so that they wouldn't trail in dirt from outdoors. They covered their working area. They also vacuumed afterwards! The workmanship was AWESOME! I've asked Wilfredo to fit me into his schedule so that he could give me an estimate for a floor in my attic. By the time he left my house, it was too dark for him to take measurements of my attic. It was truly a pleasure doing business with Wilfredo and Julio.
