Horrified and still waiting for SureSir to make it right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to get a hack job and the runaround. Booking my job was smooth and easy. The "technician" came on Saturday on time. After showing him the bathroom where I needed a medicine cabinet installed, he went to get his tools from his van. Seeing him come back with a starter Stanley tool kit and something in a paper bag was a bit concerning. Seeing that he had not much more than a handsaw and a hammer was more concerning. But he had a busted window on his van, suggesting he probably needed the money, had some bad luck, so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not having fancy tools doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't skilled. In hindsight, I wish I'd have listened to my gut. I walked by mid work a couple of times to see if he needed anything. The hall/doorway doesn't give a good view of the wall he was working on and there was so much debris on the floor, I didn't go inside the bathroom to give it a good look. And I didn't want to hover. The reviews for SureSir are mostly very good... They claim to hire experienced professionals... I was very specific in my job request. Surely, they'd send someone who viewed the request and was experienced. WRONG. Hours later, the tech tells me he's done. From the hall, I see the terrible job he did on the finishing. Now I just want him gone so I say thanks, goodbye. The $400 medicine cabinet I bought is ruined. The bathroom wall is ruined. The vanity may be ruined - it appears he used SPRAY PAINT at some point for some reason and he got it on the stone. The cabinet is nearly THREE INCHES off center. It is set crooked. WTF did he do to the outside??? That's not spackle. He used some sort of foam that he got onto the floor and didn't bother wiping up. Not surprised because he didn't clean up anything except the large piece of drywall. He left debris ALL OVER THE BATHROOM. He made a mess on the sink and didn't wipe up anything. He left blue tape on the bottom side of the cabinet. THE SURESIR TECHNICIAN DID A HORRIFYING JOB. I could have done this myself far better. I hired out because I wanted a PROFESSIONAL to do it right. I immediately called SureSir and told the rep what happened. She told me to text her the photos and a manager would call me. An hour later, one does. She clearly has not seen the photos, but, we make a plan that she would send a new technician over on Tuesday to repair the botched job for free. She apologized for the work but did not seem to understand the level of incompetence. I agreed, but said that I needed to speak to the tech before he came over so I could make sure he knew what he was doing because I did not trust that they would not just send another random "newbie," as she called the first one. On Monday (yesterday) I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called SureSir twice, left a voicemail, sent them a message via the Thumbtack app, to which I got the response: "we'll give you a call in a bit. Please bear with us." I never got a call. Meanwhile, the app is sending me auto-text messages and emails reminding me to pay my invoice. Ha! Now it's Tuesday and I still have not heard from anyone. Until noon, when a rep calls me to remind me to pay my invoice. I explain the situation again and that I've been trying to get someone to call me back about this tech who was supposed to come to my house today. She apologizes and says someone will call me asap. It's been 3 hours now and still, crickets. Frankly, at this point, I do not and would not (WARNING TO YOU) trust this company to have a qualified technician to repair what their horrifically unqualified technician botched. My bathroom is ruined and will cost far more money and time now to repair. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I was extremely pleased with my experience with SureSir. From start to finish, they were extremely professional and prompt with their communication. I originally reached out about a week ago, exploring who might be able to hang Christmas lights at our new home since it is a 2-story property and I wasn't quite ready to brave the ladder up to the gabled roof. SureSir and Aldrin were in communication with me through the Thumbtack app where I first spotted them and were prompt with all messages. I went silent for about a week and then decided to pick things back up and they were right on it. We scheduled someone to come out the SAME DAY. Once Cherry confirmed that a technician was available, I received a text message from Austin. He reached out and confirmed what I was looking for decoration wise, as Austin was actually going to go shop for the lights. He went to FIVE Home Depots to try and find the lights we wanted. In the end, Home Depot seemed to fall short, and Austin was 100% crystal clear that we didn't need to put up what he purchase if we didn't want and that he could keep trying to find the lights we were looking for and come back another day. The entire time, Austin was completely professional and also very funny! We decided to go with what Austin suggested and the lights turned out BEAUTIFUL! We ended up with the C9 bulbs on the 2nd story and smaller lights on the ground level above our garage. Together the lights looked fantastic. He was happy for us to use the materials we already had on hand (light clips, extension cords, etc.) but also came completely prepared with all the materials--- giving us the option to supply our own instead of reimbursing for the purchases he'd made. In the end, we reimbursed Austin for the purchases and paid Sure Sir for the labor costs -- multiple payment options.
