I am extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and accountability demonstrated by the staff at Moose Landing Marina during our recent pontoon rental on the 4th of July. My fiancé, two friends, our three dogs, and I rented a pontoon boat for the day at a cost of approximately $700. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a group of 5-6 very young staff members, who appeared to be around 16-17 years old. While they were polite, they openly expressed that they were short-staffed and seemed unsure of their responsibilities. We took the boat out roughly 10 minutes to Long Lake and anchored near an island, remaining a respectful distance from shore. While swimming, my fiancé noticed that one of the propeller blades felt unusually sharp and jagged--something we made note of but could not inspect further in the water. Upon returning the boat, the same young staff members met us and again mentioned being understaffed. While we were unloading, one of them asked if we had hit anything, to which we replied no. He then asked if anyone had taken a photo of our driver's license. No one had. He informed us that the employee who checked us in failed to complete the required pre-inspection of the boat and did not verify or document any identification. He told us not to worry and sent us on our way. The following day, we were charged an additional $270 for a damaged prop. When we contacted the marina to dispute the charge and explain the situation, we asked for time-stamped photos from the prior rental to verify the condition of the boat before our use. What we received were unclear images of a broken prop shown on an iPad screen--without any timestamps or verifiable context. Despite the lack of proper pre-rental inspection and the vague evidence provided, the marina insisted that we were liable for the damage simply because we were the last to use the boat. This feels both unfair and negligent. Not only did their team fail to follow standard rental protocols, but their oversight could have led to serious safety risks. A cracked or compromised propeller has the potential to break mid-use, putting not only us but our pets--and potentially children and other boaters--at risk. Given the cost of the rental, the inexperience of the staff, and the marina's failure to take responsibility for their mistakes, I cannot in good faith recommend Moose Landing Marina. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements proper training and accountability moving forward read more

We purchased a pre enjoyed 23 ft Regal in 2021. Since then Moose Landing as done a great job in servicing and storing our boat. Just had an issue that they fixed in a few days so we could be back on the water for the weekend. Prices may be on the higher side but their customer service is top notch. Also, as we don't have a trailer, the convenience of them pulling out our boat is huge. Their gas is also less expensive than in Harrison. read more

Moose Landing Marina - ** TOURISTS BEWARE! We have rented a boat every year on the 4th of July for the past few years with no problem, at Moose Landing Marina. Before that, we got a slip with you every year to moor our pontoon boat at the marina. However, sadly, our experience this year was terrible compared to years past. It was not the boat, it was the way we were treated by the staff upon both our arrival and return, as well as the shape of the boat when we arrived. The staff were extremely rude to us. They were not helpful at all, and treated us as if we were nothing but an inconvenience to them. Also, we left the boat immaculate upon our return. however, when we arrived in the morning, we arrived to a boat that was dirty and littered with trash. It did not look like it was cleaned at all before our group arrived. Sadly, for the reasons listed above, we will not be returning to Moose Landing Marina. This is very unfortunate, because we are locals and live only 2 miles away. We are in the process of purchasing our own boat, and will be sure NOT to moor it at Moose Landing. Our family knows many people in this town, and we will not be spreading a very good review of Moose Landing Marina. Would NOT recommend! read more

Hi Steve, thanks for clarifying the grill situation. But as for the burn marks, I know for a fact that we didn't burn anything. I dumped out the charcoal and submerged the entire grill in water making sure it was cool before setting back on the boat. And how is it that you and the staff can over look the bent corners but not over look burn marks and tears on the boat? Moving on past this whole situation and appreciate and most certainly will accept the refund. read more

I would not recommend the service department at this Marina!! Very unprofessional and disorganized. Their goal is to extract as much money from you as you will let them. I needed repairs done on my pontoon boat and brought it to Moose Landing Marina in September of 2022. They gave me a written estimate which the insurance company approved. The service manager asked me if it was ok to order the parts and I replied yes. The parts were never ordered, for some unknown reason, until five months later and now the estimate had gone up by 50 percent!! I stored the boat there for the winter and once again they are looking for more money to de-commission the boat and put it in the water. The winter storage contract does not say anything about these additional charges. A friend of mine challenged them on the de-commissioning charges recently and Moose Landing told them they did not have to pay these charges. Bottom line is do not bring you boat to Moose Landing Marina for service or Storage! read more

We rented a pontoon over the Independence Day weekend. Jaimee was so helpful in assuring the boat we needed for our group was the appropriate size. Check in was a no hassle experience. The dock hands were super helpful and so friendly. There was plenty of parking. Moose Landing is really in the perfect location- easy to maneuver in and out - so convenient to access Sebago via the Songo locks and plenty to explore on Brandy Pond and Long Lake. Living in Maine and Naples particularly, you would think our family would rent boats often for fun. However very rarely do we have a chance to do this. The opportunity arose this past Sunday and we are so happy we chose Moose Landing to rent from. There is plenty of parking, the staff is super friendly and helpful, The boat we rented which was a pontoon boat was immaculate! Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to an incoming storm. Thank goodness it was so easy to drop off the boat at the dock where one of their staff expertly took it from us and we were running towards our car as it had started to pour. Quite often it's impossible to reach anyone here because they never answer the general business phone number and forget about leaving a message because it rarely will be returned. Despite this initial failure at basic business practice if you can figure out how to get a direct line to anyone in particular. The boat yard is a bit busy as are all marinas on the lake but there is still plenty of room to maneuver your trailer and park. The property is long and narrow that allows for a super long storage facility and operational efficiency, but it leaves little for beautiful landscaping despite its potential. Don't expect the marinas of Miami Beach or the quaintness of a New England seaport. It's all business here and other than the beautiful sales cabin, the feeling of the other buildings decor is a bit industrial. The club house is no thrills either and more of a cabin on the lake at about 300 sq feet with a small deck, but it does have a fridge, TV, and 2 small bathrooms with 2 ' x 2' showers that are sometimes used for storage (one in each bathroom). An E for effort. There is also a hot tub that was not ready for use at the time I visited. It's a good place to find a heated bathroom. The boat store was being torn down right in the middle of the fall season, which seemed odd rather than waiting for the whole place to close for the winter. Use of office trailers added to the confusion and lack of support. A solid 3 only because half of the staff here was super friendly and the other half actually rather mean, inconsiderate, and indifferent. Communication is poor and the place is quite disorganized. There appears to be 3 managers, one of which is super cool and the other 2 hard to deal with for even basic services. But in fairness, that may have been because of the recent renovations. And if you buy a boat from them I hear that they will bend over backwards for you. But I personally would strongly discourage docking here. The service department may seem friendly, but only until they are not. And the other manager is to be avoided. I'm glad that we are heading back to LA where folks at least try to be polite when being paid to do so. read more

Rented a "premiere bar boat" which was supposedly the best pontoon they offer, it was not in very good shape, had many broken items, and none of the bar features (fridge, sink etc. ) we're working. I basically paid more to lose seating and have a table (the bar). You can't even sit at the bar when your going more than 5 knots. They're overpriced andCustomer service was not great. On our last day, Saturday, June 25, we decided to rent a pontoon boat from Moose Landing Marina. Great, friendly, courteous, attentive and kind staff. Boat was like new and beautiful. I rented a 24' with 115HP motor with Tube. Spent the day on Long Lake swimming and tubing. Great time was had by all. One of my daughters said it was the highlight of the week. We purchased, stored and had a slip here for a few years. Eventually sold our boat through them. We found the location and access to the lakes ideal, however the customer service was less than ideal. Our boat often had issues at the start of the year after they supposedly got it ready, we were missing seat covers and other items. They would replace them but we always had to complain and make several inquiries. Their contract and billing system is antiquated in that we signed and paid the day things were due but would get reminder notices with others who were overdue. When asked why, "it's the way our system generates emails". Really? Fix your system! That's now how you treat good customers. I asked my husband if he felt they cared about us as a customer and he said "yeah, the day we paid them for the boat". read more

We rented a pontoon boat on a Sunday and it was super clean and almost brand new. The rate was $75.00 less than the other surrounding Marina's. The girl who booked my rental over the phone was so nice and very helpful. The rental could be picked up at 8:30 and had to be back by 4pm. We picked the boat up at 8:30 when they opened and took it right to the house ( a 7 min boat ride max). We took the boat out at 1:30pm and since we were getting such a late start we called to extend the rental until Monday so we could keep it Sunday night. We planned on returning it Monday Morning because that's when we were going back home. Well the boat broke down in the middle of the lake at 3:40pm with 5 people and a dog on it. One of the passengers had a newly broken leg. Thankfully, the marina was open until 4 and they sent someone right out to evaluate the situation. The boat wasn't getting fuel so they towed us back to the Marina. This took some time. At this point it was past their closing time and we were frustrated and decided to cancel the Monday rental as we only had extended the rental to use it Sunday past 4pm and the break down was chewing into the small amount of time we had left that night as it gets dark out at 7pm and and was cool out. This left us stranded and no one at the Marina seemed to care how we were getting back home with 5 people, one with a broken leg and a dog. We had to scramble to make arrangements. We didn't get home until 5:45 when it was all said and done. So my only complaint is that our boat broke down after 2 hours and I think they should have offered to boat us home since it wasn't our fault the boat broke down. Other than that it was unforeseen occurrence which I understand. I think I would rent from them again though. read more

Dropped in to look at pontoon boats of which we know nothing. The salesman never said hello, never introduced himself, never got up from his desk to come around to point us in the right direction, continued on a paper he was working on - marking up something with May 2018 on it.....and seemed quite put off that we had no idea what we were looking for. We said preowned & not w/ a bar, large enough: not too large. He said he only has a few preowned starting at 40k but the website and inventory spoke differently. We asked about new and he said they start at 35k. What starts at 35 K, do you have an example? Oh and my husband asked about the "Hurricane", he was informed that those are boats for people that aren't quite ready to transition over to a pontoon boat." Now what does that mean? Perhaps he might be encouraged to ask questions, get to know your buyers and what might me their wants in a boat. We are serious buyers and will find a boat but not here. #judgy Update: We bought a boat 5 minutes from here. read more

My family and I rented a boat from This business yesterday. When they called my las name, they assigned me the wrong boat. They said I rented a speed boat. I said that's not what i rented, and a lady said a pontoon had just come in, so I could have it. Great! They fixed the issue. We were part of a large group renting a total of 8 pontoons. We had a great day at the lake. When we got back, I noticed they charged everyone $13-$15 in gas, and mine came to $37. Strange, I thought. We all stayed together and did the same amount of driving. Then the lady at the rental kiosk proceeds to me I ruined the propeller and the boat is no longer drivable, and it's a $275 charge. I am even more confused now since we had been driving the boat just fine all day and even pulled into the dock without a problem. I asked them if they are sure they had the right boat, they seemed to be getting boats confused earlier. I asked her to please show me the boat with the damage so I could make sure it was our boat. She said they had already put the boat away! I couldn't believe this. I walked from the boat to the kiosk and there were a couple of other boats in front of me. How did they put them Away that fast? I kept asking the lady to please show me the damage, but they wouldn't. I said I don't feel comfortable paying for some thing I don't think I did and you can't show me. One of the older gentlemen helping the crew said "your card is on file and it will just be charged anyways" and walked away. I am appalled at the way the staff handled this. I am going to dispute this charge with my bank. It's a terrible way to do business. They seemed so deceptive, so please be aware and know what your boat looks like and is doing. The good: We rented the largest pontoon boat that they had, at 24' for a day of boating with my family and 2 dogs. The boat worked fine, and was very comfortable. The staff was very nice. Overall we had an awesome day. The Bad: Getting to Sebago you have to go through locks, and with traffic this can take some time, so unless you get a really early start then Long Lake is really your only option. You have to buy maps as they only supply one for Sebago, and they charge $10 for a pretty cheesy folded marine map. If you are going, I would suggest either printing one out, or buying elsewhere. The lakes, channels, etc are well marked, so you really only need them if you are looking for specific things. It would be nice if they had maps that would be on the boat when rented, perhaps laminated ones. The Ugly: If you are renting, you are only entitled to use 2 port-a-potties located in the corner of the parking lot. The bath houses and changing areas are only for slip customers. This is important to know if you are planning on changing at the site. The port-a-potties were a disgrace, and were beyond gross. People had complained before we got there and the lady at the booth said that they had called to have them cleaned, but they were in seriously poor condition and were days (at least) past due for a cleaning. I was disappointed to learn that if you are renting, all of the facilities that they advertise are not available. It certainly is not clear on their website. If they had better facilities I would have given them 5 stars, but am only rating them 3 based on the bathroom condition (and lack of bathrooms), and charging for a map that should be on the rental. read more

I am a member of the Rinker Boat Owners Forum. Will from Moose Landing Marina posted on the forum that he had a slightly damaged part that he was willing to give away for free. This is an $11,000+ part. I am lucky enough to own the exact model boat that this part will fit on. I emailed with Will a few times and spoke on the phone a few times. The marina is almost 4 hours away from my house & the only time that I was able to get away from work to go pick up the part was during the holiday season. Will gave me his personal cell # so that I could call him when I got up there & he sent one of his employees over to help me load the part - even though the marina was closed at the time. The part is in very good condition with some cosmetic scratches. Once painted, it will be perfect. There aren't too many of this model boat that this part would fit, so it may have been difficult to find a buyer if he had tried to sell it, BUT... it is a heavy aluminum part, several hundred pounds, and he could have scrapped it and made money just off of the value of the aluminum. What a nice marina, I wish it wasn't so far from my home and my boating. It is in a great location with beautiful scenery. Both Will and Jason (the one who helped me load the part) were very nice. If I am ever boating in the Naples area, I will absolutely go to Moose Landing Marina. THANKS WILL! read more
