You can become a deckhand and hoist sails, or just do what I did--chillax! The 33' Grace is very comfortable, with ample room for a maximum of six passengers. We had fabulous weather, and Captain Dave delivered big time on the promised seal sightings (and one dolphin). I only sailed twice previously at home in NJ; this was far more enjoyable! There are others with a larger compliment of services, but since I have REO as my boat yard and Marine repair service, Sunset has exactly what I need. -They have well maintained Dock & Gangways -The shore power & water lines are first rate -Bathrooms & laundry are spic & span 100% -Allow outside maintenance to come work on your boat -Extra dingy dock available -Transportation carts for your stuff always available -Marine equipment and beverages always stocked -Fuel is the cheapest in Casco Bay!!! -Long term clientele who are welcoming to new members, very helpful and very friendly -Dan & Elaine are great business people. They care about the boat owners and it shows -They also provide routine and special weather updates, and will contact you immediately out of concern for your vessel, especially when a big storm is brewing -It's the small touches: Dan & Elaine provided a spectacular 4th of July fireworks show out of pocket because of the Wuhan Virus limitations this year. From the amazing sunsets over the old port to the friendly, helpful and professional service Dan and Elaine provide. As we were new to the ocean life, their experience and helpfulness was welcomed. We rented two (two person) jet skis for a half day (4 hours) at a reasonable price and had a blast!…read moreUnfortunately we came an hour late, but 3 hours was plenty to have fun on the lake. When we arrived, they were quick to help us with paperwork and getting us right on the jetskis. There was a $1000 deposit (!!!) per jet ski, because we were going as a group, and this makes accidents more likely, which we were a little leery of, but we didn't damage the jet skis and got our deposit slips back in the end with no issues. The girl helping us was friendly and briefly went over how to operate the jet skis and where to avoid, etc. We had a great time on the lake, and went for many dips in the clear, cool water. The jet skis seemed pretty new, and had a small watertight compartment and a larger compartment that was not watertight. They're really easy to operate. When we came back, we did have to wait a while in the heat to get checked out and pay for gas, because there was only one person manning the dock. This wasn't really an issue for us as we were in no rush. I would highly recommend renting jet skis from here.

The girl that called me was very nice and understanding, but the person in the email exchange gave me a really hard time and they charged me a restocking fee even though it was their mistake! While she was shopping I noticed an amazing necklace that the associate was wearing. Excitedly she told me that it was something she carried and continued to show me it and put it on me to try on. I absolutely adored it and purchased it. Not a typical purchase for me but the whole experience was so nice and genuine and made me so happy! So glad I stopped into this shop. Not only do they have and rent water equipment, it is beautifully curated with specialty jewelry, gifts and accessories! We were in Portland July 9, 2016 for a wedding on Diamond Island. Unfortunalety the weather was damp, raw and rainy. This boat kept us dry and comfortable. We liked this boat so much we arranged for it the next day going home. We passed other water taxis in the harbor and none appeared to have any way to get out of the weather. They charged the same price too! The boat owner, Greg, is great - very talkative and friendly. He told us about many of the islands. Next time you need a ride in Portland Harbor call Atlantic Water Taxi, You will not be disappointed.
