OFFSEASON FALL OCT. 4th - 6th site 210 Well let's start off with turning onto Bachelder rd. Kind of exciting driving up and seeing a couple old campers set up like it was part of a theme park. Getting toward the office the road splits into a nice paved 3 lane rd. Excellent if there a few people checking in. The office is well presented, and an arcade next to it is a pristine 200 yr old barn. The roads were well maintained as it turned to dirt and gravel. No rain made potholes a very nice drive. The sites as we drove by were awesome. This place has great large deep private sites, angled very well for easy docking. The site we had 210 was a damn good site. Not far walking distance from office pool and other amenities. Trees were nice and solid and it was large enough for us to do extra. The fire pits were awesome, all large stones with others built up.. excellent on that one moosehillock. Everyone walking by had great attitudes, excellent vibes. Well except that one dude looked at me walking by jealous of my blackstone. Cons to get through quick cause we didn't have much. At $12 a bundle for wood, little steep usually paying $4-6 at other campgrounds. BUT!!!!! you can bring your NH born wood from wherever so that's a plus. No cell service but wifi if you are down around the office. By the way I met a camp worker David who was very professional and helped with every question and matter we had. 100 acres, over 500 sites to stay at rv cabins tents. This is a great place. We plan to go back next summer in season to check out the pool and other accommodations. Recommended for now. Update next season. read more

Came back this year and had a wonderful time. No 5 day minimum like last visit. The sites are very large and private. Bathrooms were very clean and better than last time. Prices were better as well. You do pay a resort fee and I feel this should include free showers. You do have to pay for your showers at 25 cents and that gave me enough time to shower once the water warmed up. The showers are clean. The cabins looked cute from the outside and those sites include a grill and fire pit. I wish they would put grills at the other sites. The fire pit is mainly for fire with no grill but we managed to rig something together so we could cook on it. The food shack still has just ok fried fatty food and I wish they would kick it up a notch with better options. The seating area outside the food shack is quaint as parents could sit at high top bar area and watch kids. No alcohol served. Check in was very busy but they manage to make it go smoothly. Check in at 3 and out at 11. They allowed more than one car on site as long as it fit. No dishwasher stations on site. They have washing machines and dryers. I can't wait to come back! read more

It is May 2020 and we are in the midst of a global pandemic. As the U.S. slowly opens under specific mandates from each state, trying to keep everyone safe.... THIS CAMPGROUND IS DOING THE EXACT OPPOSITE. When you arrive at the campground, there is a sign posted outside of the check in area stating that employees and patrons are not required to wear masks and to refer to the constitution. Really? Because wearing a mask really puts you out as a business to keep people safe? There is no mention of sanitization rules or social distancing when you check in. The campground was almost completely booked! Definitely not at the 50% as mandated by the governor. Even though governor Sununu mandated that campgrounds are only open to New Hampshire residents there were people staying at the campground from all over New England, Connecticut and California. Bathrooms and showers do not have sanitation or social distancing rules posted and they are not cleaned between each use. The pool is closed but there is no issue with patrons using their public bathrooms and showers? I don't get the logic. If you're a New Hampshire resident looking for a safe getaway during these crazy times, this is not the campground for you (or us). It's clear they care more about their business and making money then they do the safety of their patrons. I only hope businesses like this don't send our state into a tailspin with more cases and deaths. Lastly, if you plan to stay here during a holiday weekend, they do not charge you for a minimum of 3 nights like every other campground we have ever stayed at. They charge you for 4! Just trying to get as much out of their patrons as they can because they know people will pay it to get away for a long holiday weekend even if they don't plan to stay the fourth night. I've been camping here for around 14 years and my grandparents have been camping here for about 19. We know the owners and their parents personally very friendly, every time something has gone wrong whether its power going out or whatever they are always out to help/fix wherever they can. Pool is very big (although since the renovation they added a large walk in area for the children which removed the 5 and 8 foot areas) The pool is heated to 81-82 so on the cooler days its really nice. Its right on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest. There are multiple trails that lead into it from right inside the camp. Most sites are very private, especially the tent sites. Most sites are also very large even for our 33 footer. There is cellular service in certain areas - although most reviews suggest there isn't. Theres also wifi, depending on the day the wifi is better because there can be hundreds of people on it. The best spot for service (i can only vouch for Verizon) is near the large rock by the snack bar. Although I've seen people with AT&T calling from their sites far from the pool. People also claim that they push religion here which is very inaccurate as they give you a small pamphlet and invite you to come to the service on Saturday's-thats it. And I've seen other reviews saying that the bathrooms are dirty or whatever which I can't vouch if they are or aren't. (Keep in mind the 10 million jobs+ that has been lost in the past year and and half) But i do know that they are working at around 1/3 staff and they are all new as of the start of covid. They don't have the staff to clean the bathrooms. They cant even keep the snack bar open at its normal hours. read more

Liked this campground! The pool was amazing and sites were spacious & fairly private (especially the tent sites at the way end of the park). The bathrooms were kind of gross and I didn't want to touch anything- especially in the showers. There was quite a bit of soap scum and dirt everywhere (even first thing in the morning after they "clean" them). They were also pretty far from our site so a Porto Potty would have been nice for the midnight runs. The sites themselves are exceptionally clean and well maintained. I loved how secluded most were! The fire pit looked like something out of a tv show and was pretty neat to hang around at. There was more than enough room for our two SUVs, two tents, and folding table. We could have easily fit two more tents! But I would never go back there for tent camping. Why? BEARS. Every. Damn. Night. We had to deal with a large male bear that was hell bent on coming around at exactly 9:00 each night we stayed. He would visit 2-4 times. Then all of the neighboring campers would come out with their pots, pans and guns (yes-guns) to chase him away. We barely slept. I know they're a part of nature but it's pretty rare that you have one that's not easily spooked by humans enough to give up! We bought an RV this year so I plan on giving them another chance next summer but I would definitely not go back for tent camping- especially not with my 3 year old and small dogs. read more

We spent 4 nights over Memorial Day with two other families, kids aged 7-16 and had a blast. Check in was easy with greeters helping coordinate traffic and friendly front office staff. The campground is huge but we were given a map with the best route to our site already mapped out. Almost all sites were super private and all that I saw were large, shaded and well laid out. Kids loved the basketball court, playground, arcade, fishing. We all loved the pool and had no problem getting seats - it was early in the season but 75+ all weekend. Staff were reasonably strict about families having adult supervision at the pool and in the store and as a result the pool wasn't chaotic and staff was really friendly. Bathrooms and public areas were very clean. Campers were friendly and largely families so nights were not crazy that I saw while we were there. Quiet hours start at 10pm but fires still allowed later which was nice. Lots of trails and great for bikes as long as you don't mind the hills (kids had no problems biking them, I wouldn't have wanted to). The rented 6 person golf carts which we passed on due to the $100/night price tag but would have been helpful for trips back and forth to the pool during the day. There is no WiFi at the sites and spotty cell coverage - we have AT&T and had a pretty good signal but those in our group with Verizon had zero. We had walkie-talkies which worked from our site (149) to the pool so worked fine for communicating with the kids. Well staffed, well run campground and we had so much fun and will absolutely be returning soon! Thanks for a great weekend! read more

This is the second time I've camped here. Very clean, big spacious sites. Pool is beautiful. Store is pricey as expected. Not impressed with the golf cart rental. $100 a day but you can't pick it up til 3 and it has to be returned at 11. Last I checked, a day was a full 24 hours. Also the arcade was $1-2 per game and most were broken, with no out of order signs. When I told the office they might want to put broken signs up so no one else loses money, I kinda got shrugged off. Other than those issues the place was awesome. read more

If there was a 3 1/2 star rating, I would probably use it, but to give them the benefit of the doubt I'll go with a four. The campground itself is very nice, the sites are large, however it is very hilly in some spots, and backing in a 34 foot trailer was tricky. Make sure if you're bringing your own equipment, you bring a pressure regulator for the water, as the water pressure was very high. The facilities are about average for this price range. The pool is nice, however they do allow the use of floats, and at some points during the day it gets very crowded in the large pool with all of these monster floats. The staff was very nice, and unlike some of the reviews I found, I never felt the religious overtones that some spoke of. They give you a small pamphlet when you check in, and invite you to a chapel service on Saturday night. That's it. We had a site far away from the pool, but it was clear if your site was anywhere near the pool the noise would be constant. Finer points: use the "natural pool", it's a swimming hole about 100 yards up a trail, and it's fantastic. Quiet, cool, and when it's sunny the light beams through the trees, it's gorgeous. Wrist bands: I listened to a staff member explain to another guest that they are for the protection of the registered guests, and to keep strays from using the facilities. Ok, I can accept that they felt they had to do something, but here is where I took issue. If you LOST your band, it was $10 per day for your remaining stay. So they clearly have the opinion if you "lost it", you're sneaking people in. A stretch, but ok... Now, if it breaks, and they are wax paper, its $10 to replace, even if you still have the broken one. Why? Is the paper that expensive? If I'm a registered guest, you know I've paid, and I still have the band, why is it $10? Just screams of a money grab there. If you're reading this, you likely are a connected person to technology. Be aware, other reviews are not kidding, there is NO CELLULAR RECEPTION on any carrier. There is wifi (slow and finicky) at the pool. For the techy types, I tried using a high gain antenna mounted on a mast on my flag pole, no dice, wifi is at the pool, and does not have any reach beyond it. The nearest grocery store is the Walmart, and it's a solid 25-30 minute drive. Plan your trip accordingly. Overall it was a nice stay, the kids went through technology withdrawal, as did I. We had good weather, but if it had been rainy, I can imagine it would be a long day. There's not much to do in the area, and the arcade will only entertain for a little while. The best part was the river at the bottom of the hill by the entrance. Go to the end of the camp driveway, take a right, and your first left over a wooden bridge. There is a small parking lot and you walk down to a fantasist swimming hole. read more

Zero cell service (verizon) and zero wifi at sites. Some may yearn for that but its not marketed that way. I work from my rig during the week. Allthough the campground is beautiful and the sites are large and private we could not make a phone call or connect to either my own cell based internet connection or campground wifi. Learned after arriving their "free wifi" is only if your in the main building. If we had known this ahead of time we would not have booked here. We left same day we arrived and went to another campground that i had cell service at and had wifi at sites so i could work on the weekdays while i was there. Owners refused to provide any refund value at all. Not even half back. Their response was, "heres the policy" and thats it. Needless to say we will not go back here (even if they improve the connectivity) or any of their affiliated locations due to their (owners) cold lack of empathy and full assessment of the situation of request for some level of refund. So if you have verizon and stay here please note you will not be able to make or receive phone calls, in case of emergency be prepared to run to the lodge since you cant even call the lodge from your site or connect to their wifi at sites. read more

This campground is AMAZING! Clean, well maintained by the wonderful owners and staff. The hiking trails, fishing pond, basketball court, volleyball court, playground, arcade, activities, weekend magic shows under the pavilion, and of course the pool which was expanded this year...the list goes on and on. We've been coming to this campground for 3 years (2 of them as seasonal) and in reading others reviews, I can tell you that in the 3 years we've been coming here, never once have we had a staff member act rudely towards us and never heard "Jesus music" playing at the pool. They do hold a Sunday morning mass under the pavilion for the staff and campers, which never bothered us or anyone else. Yes, the owners are religious, but when has that ever been a negative thing!? Thankfully this year they have added WiFi services throughout the campground! We've visited many campgrounds in NH over the years, but no matter where we have visited, we always end up back at Moose Hillock. We look forward to making many more memories with our kids for many years to come. This is one campground you'll never be sorry you came to! Great campground! Actually, probably the best I have been to. We spent 4 days here. Check-in was easy. We were given plastic bracelets to wear for the duration of our trip. Some people complain about that, but didn't bother my family. We were given a map and a disclaimer about bears being on property and how to deter them from our site. It's the outdoors in the white mountains, so I didn't let it discourage me. We simply followed the instructions on keeping them away (lock food and trash in car and don't eat in tent, as well as not to sleep in same clothes you cooked in). Our site (#142) was large in size and level. Ground was dirt and gravel. It was well shaded and good amount of privacy between sites. We were able to park two SUVs on the site. Had enough room to put up two large tents, a 10x10 canopy and had plenty more space. The site had a large 8 ft picnic table, we had another 8ft table we brought. Had space for two clothes lines and a hammock, as well. Without being crowded. The fire pit was amazing and built of stone. We even cooked over it. The camping store was well-stocked with ice, Wood, snacks, essentials, and souvenirs. There is a poolside cafe that sells breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plenty of seating in the cafe area and poolside. The pool is unlike anything that Is at any campground, large with water slides and night swims. The pool was open until 9:30 at night for each night we were there. Bathrooms were clean, a laundry mat was available, but we didn't use it. An arcade and pool tables are on site. Showers run on a single quarter. Quiet time was very quiet and overall a good family campground! The only draw backs that I give it are a lack of cell service in the area (not just the campground, but the town and for about 10-15 minutes out). It was kind of nice to disconnect, but couldn't really access for navigation to find things in area. There is a limited hotspot by pool but not easy to get on because many people are trying to access. This location is about 25-30 minutes from the closest supermarket, though there's a cute little general store up the road some which sold beer (not liquor). It was about 29 minutes to Lincoln and most of attractions. I definitely will go back here again next year! read more

I have to give this campground 5 stars because their customer service came through in the clutch! In these times of COVID, it's been tough planning getaways for the family. And since we had such a great experience at the Moose Hillock in NY, we figured we'd try the one in NH- it's just a couple of hours away and we'd explore some of the sights and sounds of the white mountains while we're there. We made the reservations months ago and we were beyond excited- counting down the days for our long camping getaway. Upon arrival, we noticed that many people were not adhering to a lot of social distancing rules but we knew that was going to be the case since NH does not have any mask mandates- I mean their motto is live free or die so that was not the issue. The issue was when they told us our site was directly across from the pool. I asked right away to be moved and they said that they were fully booked. Ok- I though, how bad could it be, right?! So when I said directly- I mean DIRECT line of sight is the pool, all of the screaming, loud music and ruckus that ensues by a pool. Our young daughter is very sensitive to loud noises and immediately started crying in hysterics when we exited our car. This was gonna be BAD. We knew we couldn't stay if this was going to be our site. We called the front desk and pleaded to be moved- after what seemed like forever, Tina, the manager and the owner of the campground found a site for us to move to. It was quiet, wooded, peaceful and PERFECT. Tina and the owner saved our vacation. Thank you. Now we know for next time- when making the reservations, ask to be far away from the pool (unless that's what you are looking for). read more

We have gone to Moosehillock for 10 years with a large group of 6-8 families every Memorial Day weekend. We always book a year in advance to guarantee to all be together. We also usually go for a week sometime during the summer. This campground has changed. They are all about money. They look to charge a fee for everything. Lose your bracelet for the pool? $10 a day. Camp site not left clean? Cleaning fee. Want to guarantee your site for next year? Pay $100 for them to hit a key on a computer to save it for you. Golf carts are now everywhere. Lots of road traffic. Nightly charge is up substantially. My friends son spilled a drink and told a staff member. He was told to buy paper towels at the store and clean it up?? And the poor boy did with his own money for the arcade. I am sad to say we will not return. After 10 years... making memories we say goodbye. read more

I would have given this a 5 STAR but the lack of wifi hot spot made it difficult to info family we arrived safely. Pool was awesome, food prices were reasonable. Staff was super friendly. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Playground and fishing pond were a plus. Great for family plus a bonus area for wilderness sites with WEC. Large site 140-149 away from the noise. Would recommend this to family and friends. Just know Cellphone service is zero. that is why you need more WIFI hot spots throughout the camp ground. Almost got hit by little kids speeding by on bikes. But that is due to a lack of parenting and regard for the rule of the campground. Pretty great place all in all. read more

Worst camping trip we have been on. First I go to check in and I asked what time to pool opens and closes. I was told it's not open yet, ok but there is a women and children in the pool. I walked out to get my license plate number, the two women at the desk had to be talking shit Because right when I walked in the stopped talking. I don't think they liked that I question why certain people where allowed in the pool and not others. Apparently the rules only apply to certain people. We where pretty much the only people in the whole campground and where not even loud. Got spoken to the first night exactly at 10 for laughing to loud. Apparently not allowed to have a good time. The flys are crazy right when we got out the truck to set up we got attacked by hundred on them. We asked to be moved because there didn't seem to be a lot on some other sites we where told they didn't have room. The whole campground was empty! The bathrooms are completely run down. Ceiling paint all chipped. You hav to pay to take a shower. 25 cents gets your 2 and a half minutes. Have never been to a campground where you have to pay to shower. We decided to by a slip and slide because the pool "was not open" that got shut down. So we got a sprinkler for the 8 children we where with. Nope those are all hazards. If I could give this place no stars I would. Will never be back. read more

Where do I start? We have been coming here for the past five years and have always enjoyed it with our kids. But this year was different. We were surprised by the five minute rules briefing which I always get anoyed with wherever I go. Also new for this year for us was a new wristband policy (actually it started last year which we did not go) You get the kind of wristband that if you take it off it's ruined. And if you need a new one their policy is to charge you $10 for a new one. Yes $10 for a little strip of plastic. And they mean business. My son lost his because he is a 9 year old boy and when we went to go to the pool I showed the gatekeeper mine which I had but had taken off due to discomfort. We were not admitted. Instead my son, who just wanted to swim, and I had to walk to the office for a new wristband. They asked him several questions about where he lost it and asked me for $10. I refused, and on to the supervisor where I got a lecture about being more careful. Eventually they did waive the fee but not without a two minute battle. I AM NOT EXAGERATING THIS. The day prior my children were being loud because they are kids and the parents were up a little past what the campground deems should be bed time. We were treated with a written complaint the next morning. Never before has this happened to me at any campground. It would of have been fine if they just came and talked to me, but they handed me the envelope and took off. I thought it was a joke. The positives: The sites are decent and mostly private, but the hum of the security golf carts wizzing by all night take away from the peace. Also there is a nice fishing pond loaded with rainbows. There is plenty of water pressure at the sites. While we have enjoyed the past here, we always suspected the pool was not clean. Each year upon our return home one or more of our kids would get sick. And other children in our group would get sick too. I cannot confirm it is the pool, but it has happened after visiting Moose Hillock several times. 2013, 2015 and 2016. (Well once again my youngest son is sick with diaria in 2018 after our trip to Moose Hillock). I had to edit my review with this developement. When I originally wrote this I thought we made it this year. This year we also felt like the shower fascilities and rest rooms were in disrepair. Shower pressure was low and getting a warm shower didn't happen, It was cold or hot. I suggest you seek other locations for your white mountain experience. I personally don't want to be stuck wearing a theme park wristband all weekend when I go hiking, fishing and when I go out to eat. It takes away from nature. This campground has felt increasingly more like a theme park and each year the place feels more unwelcoming. Yes the kids love the pirate ship water slide, but the staff and managers need to losen up and be more customer focussed. This is our last time going here. read more

We visited the campground during the last week. Very clean. The 10 pm quiet time was wonderful. Loved the pool. The price was very reasonable and the size of lot was terrific. The staff was very friendly and it is very comfortable. There is fishing in their pond or in the river near by. There are beautiful walking trails; nicely marked. The only down sides were...two of the four bathrooms were stinky, however they were working to resolve the issue when we left. The other issue? It is in the middle of now where. That being said, Polar Caves were near by (about 15 miles away) and Lincoln NH is 12 miles away up 118. read more

The positives is the sites are good size and private and the pool is huge do not want to "bash" this place, however, my fiance, and his two small children have been to several other campgrounds which I would recommend over this one including Powderhorn and Jellystone. The price is high, you HAVE to pay site lock for the site you want which is the highest I have seen at 100$. If you do not site lock you do not get the site you picked online. The cafe was closed although the brochure said: "open THROUGH Labor day weekend." 12$ a bundle of wood. 25 cents to use a dirty shower (only 2). 10$ per day if you lose your bracelet. zero phone service, only wifi so no phone calls (this I did not mind). Music is obnoxiously loud near the pool but if not near the pool LONG walk to get there. only one pool. Their events are 6 hours apart. Again, powderhorn and Jellystone have A LOT more to offer if you have small children for the same if not less price. When we arrived the women was rude about us arriving late since we had to pick up the kids from school, drive almost 3 hours and feed them dinner, so when I asked to get moved and they got the "manager" she said "we are already closed and its late." Thankfully they were able to move us closer since the kiddos couldnt walk that far although I did have to pay an extra 100$ just for a site that was walkable to the pool and we had a puppy with us we didn't want to leave alone for long periods of time. Overall I state poor due to them trying to get as much money out of you as possible. Not worth it considering the other options available. read more

We've been coming to this campground since we started camping with our children about 6 years ago. It's the kids favorite but every year when we return home more than one of the kids in our group ends up with some sort of GI bug. We skipped it last summer due to this problem. Kids really missed our annual trip here so we decided to book earlier in the season in hopes the water in the pool would be cleaner. My youngest ended up with hives and the dr thought it was GI related since he had diarrhea with the rash. I'm assuming it's from the pool water. The pool is the highlight of the campground. Makes the campground feel a little more like a resort. The kids enjoyed fishing in the pool and the big playground. Sites are pretty private. Bathrooms were awful this year, not very clean and the one near our site (130) had 3 out of 4 toilets clogged and unusable at one point. We were issued a written warning about a complaint at 3:00 am, the last person in our group went to bed at 1:45 am.not sure where they got 3:00 from. The staff was pretty rude about it and were over the top in regards to their new wristband policy. They charge $10 for a replacement if you lose it. I'm sad one of our favorite campgrounds has gone downhill over the last few years. We won't be returning. read more

This camp ground is great! I love how every site is set back and had plenty of space in between for privacy. We were on site 210, which is right in front of a river and natural pool. Great family campground. We stayed in a cabin suite. Wasn't sure what to expect..worked for us. We had two little kids 3/6. They loved it. Didn't like that the bunk beds had no side to avoid falling so we had to come up with something. The pool was great and clean. Play ground was excellent..all enclosed on higher slides and towers. There were activities thru out the week for the kids. One thing to keep in mind... Not one bit of cell service. If you want to try and make a call you need to be by the far side of the main building. Also free wifi but again very limited. read more

I went camping here again last weekend, and while many of my comments are the same, I just want to applaud the staff. There was quite a serious emergency within the first hour of our arrival, in ZERO fault of the camp may I add, and they handled it incredibly. It could have caused panic but it didn't because of their swift, serious, but quiet actions. I was honestly amazed. The second night as well there was a bear roaming through, not uncommon for the area and they warn you of their presence and what precautions to take, and instead of letting us all just deal, they sent a staff member around to warn campers and remind them of their suggested tactics. The bear came onto our site about 11:45pm and didn't do much because he couldn't find food as we'd locked it away. I was just totally impressed with how they handled serious situations. We rebooked immediately for next year. If you're looking for a fun family campground, look no further. Just a small tidbit- it's the biggest, hilliest campground I've ever seen so pick your site wisely and if you're high up the hill, rent one of their golf carts. It would be worth it! read more

Great trip, late August 2018. Site 5 is close to the pool, worked out great. We had 3 kids, under 12 and they had a blast. We walked up to the natural pool, very cool, check it out, good rock hopping. The only bad news is the firewood guy at the end of the road (not part of the campground) his wood is WET, NOT SEASONED. It was a nice campground. Clean and very family friendly. Stayed for 4 nights 5 days. I brought my 4 kids ages 5- 9 and a 15 year old nephew, they didn't want to leave the pool. Cons were that there were no activities planned durning the week and it was July 4th week. It was a bit pricey for my size family but it was worth the money the kids had a blast. Bathrooms are clean and the campground is quiet for the most part. we will probably be going back next year read more

I made a reservation for 7/11 for 4 days for my husband who will be celebrating his 30th birthday. It cost $338 to make this reservation. If you cancel within 7 days of your stay, you can get a half refund. I tried to cancel today because the weather is saying rain & thunderstorms everyday and they refuse to give any sort of refund. Yes I understand that if u don't count the 11th, this is technically 6 days, but I would think that they would be interested in keeping our business since we only live an hour away and go to that area frequently for hiking/swimming etc. Regardless of that, maybe just trying to make your customer happy. Hopefully one of the days will be nice enough for me to take advantage of my $338 parking space. I'll be sharing my experience with my friends and family for years to come. read more

Wasn't sure about this place based on recent reviews but it is great. the most trees I've seen between camp sites that offer amenities. the roads are dirt but my kids had no issue on them. bracelets are just like the ones you get at a resort; even my 5 year old had no issue keeping it on so cant comment on any fees. Pool is very nice and they let kids be kids so much better then other places no jumping, splashing or etc policies. slides can become hectic so make sure your kids get out of the way fast and not walk in front of them. read more

We stayed in the cabins and the beds were terrible, very uncomfortable. We did not sleep well and tossed and turned all night. Our bodies hurt. It was so miserable that we did not stay our last night. The beds are on a board bed and has a mattress that is about 6 inches deep. The middle bunk bed is high and has no easy way to get into it. You think they would provide a stool to step onto bed. I actually fell trying to get out of the middle bunk bed. The botton bunk bed is sunken and so low you would not want to sleep in it for fear bugs and criters could crawl in. The pool was great. The forrest was beautiful. Take bug spray. It is super expensive for what you get. The items in the store are over priced. If you want to take a shower in public showers you have to deposit quarters. read more

Pros: Campground was in a good location and the sites were very secluded and large, which was great! The pool was fantastic, the kids loved it! Cons: The bathrooms and showers were disgusting, both by our site and at the pool. There was no hot water from the sinks to wash your hands and there were only 2 sinks, which meant in the morning, when the bathroom was packed with people brushing their teeth, you had to wait 10 minutes just to wash your hands. The store (most of all the wood bundles) was VERY expensive! We counted the wood pieces a few times out of the bundles and we were paying $1 per piece! After dropping almost $40 on wood, we went outside the grounds to purchase it from the locals. The staff was not very friendly. Upon check in, randomly when they wouldn't let my 3 YEAR OLD into the bathroom for no explained reason and when the security staff would drive by. No smiles and no conversation caused us not to feel very welcome. Overall -- as much as my kids liked the pool, we wont be going back. We have stayed at much nicer, CLEANER and friendlier family campgrounds. read more

Our stay at Moose Hillock last week was good, not great. Here's some Pros and Cons. Pros: Pool was awesome, slides were great, kids loved it! Cabin site was very secluded which I loved and the bathroom near the campsite was immaculate. The campground was quiet and no loud nonsense going on. The playground looked awesome, although the kids didn't have a chance to use it. The stream that runs through the campground is beautiful and we could hear it from our site which was awesome. Cons: Expensive for what it is, and you have to pay in full before your stay. Unfortunately, after staying at a what I thought was a better place last year, a lot of things were lackluster for me at this place. 1) The bathroom by the pool was disgusting, the showers were even worse, an unbelievable smell was taking over the showers and it was unbearable. I had to hold my breath trying to change my daughter into her bathing suit. 2) Pool is unsupervised, there are signs saying kids should not go down backwards or on their stomach, or on tubes, or in doubles, yet it was happening constantly. We've stayed at sites where the slide was monitored at the top, no such thing here. Parents of course should be watching their kids, but of course some don't. 3) the cabin was ok, tight squeeze and the older mattress on the double side was useless, might as well have been sleeping on a board. No real porch either. 4) the gravel was aggravating when you have two little kids, maybe it's just me, but my kids love to throw that stuff, and no matter how many times you tell them no, they just want to build castles and sprinkle it everywhere - seems like a lazy landscaping tactic. 5) the store is outrageously expensive. 3.99 for a half gallon of milk is completely taking advantage of your guests that just need some milk. Inconsiderate and unreasonable. The 25 cent candy should be more like 10 cent candy. 6) the Arcade was ok - no pinball :( 7) no campsite wi-fi, we've stayed in cheaper places that push free wi-fi to the whole campground. Some people do like it on vacation :) With no cell service there at all, I feel that the least they could do is provide sitewide wi-fi. 8) Lastly, the one thing that really irritated me was the push of the religion. When I pay a lot of money to stay somewhere, I expect your religion to stay away. Do not hand out pamphlets about what's best for me or post it around your campground. Not everyone believes the same thing you do, nor do they appreciate the "messages". I found it offensive. Personally, I don't think we'll be going back - although the kids really did love the pool. Hope to try somewhere else next year. read more

Nice campground but definitely ups and downs. Arrived 45 minutes early was charged early checkin fee $25 on top of the $1000+ I already paid NO CELL PHONE Service No WiFi Came in last week of August into the long holiday weekend, they closed the restaurant until the holiday weekend, I'm a paying customer on vacation for a week, entitled to restaurant options despite time of season Restaurant is closed, so is the music. No music playing probably until long weekend is my guess They claim if you don't want to leave the resort they have accommodations to entertain, well not if the restaurant is closed and no music entertainment . However we did catch the restaurant open day we checked in, it's not dinner material as the menu is the same for lunch and dinner AND it's pricy for fried small portions Nice heated pool They could use an adult pool for us grownups with no kids Doubt I'd be back, but never say never however they'd need to bring in cellphone access. In today's world civilization access is necessary if you're self employed and/or have people depending on you should you need to be reached. SERIOUSLY!!! read more

The pool is amazing, all of the staff are great the snack shack has great food, and drinks.

i love this place i come every year. 100% recommend. It is family friendly, my cousins love it here. The pool is amazing and it's so relaxing. the activities here are so fun and the pool is the best here. read more
