PODS said they would ship my containers on a specific date to the east coast, and charged my card the week before scheduled shipping date. Placed an air tag in one of the containers to keep track of my stuff. 3 days later my containers were still on the west coast. When I called to inquire they said they insisted they were in transit because that is what the system said. When I told them they were not that I had a tracker in one of the containers, they finally called the weather coast facility and said they would be shipped out that night, well containers are still sitting there. DO NOT use this company if you want your stuff in a timely manner.

They charged for the same hour of moving time and travel time. Not that easy to deal with. Did not follow parking directions at the drop off place because people in the area told them they did not have to. Didn't get flagged but it caused me concern with possibly having to deal with authorities.

The team was helpful, patient and kind, and everything went smoothly with the loading process on a very hot day. I had my own covers for my couches, but they did an excellent job wrapping the last over-sized chair. These guys were very professional. I attached a couple of photos of the large, long-distance truck and the organization on boxes and other items. The quoting process was good, as Scott was personable and wore a mask inside my home during the COVID-19 lockdown period. The office was OK about the paperwork and emails - just be patient and follow up if needed. I'll also note that the moving company on the delivery end was not so great, but it's probably the roll of the dice. The driver admitted that my dresser was wrapped properly by the loading company, but the delivery guys unwrapped it before moving through the door, which resulted in some minor damage. All boxes arrived. Only one loose, inexpensive patio chair was missing (which I could have prevented had I packed it in a box properly. Overall, I was satisfied given my expectations of the long haul.

I hope I don't have to move again, but if I do, I'm calling Marrin's!

Loading time was nearly 10 hours, but it wasn't for lack of effort on the movers' part. Unloading took 11 hours. We had two casualties during the move. One was a china cabinet, which suffered shattered glass during the trip. The foreman who was unloading us said it was badly packed. That's what prevents this from being a five-star review. A cheap bookcase was also damaged beyond repair, but that was no big deal. Price was surprisingly affordable. In fact, O'Brien's/Allied's bid was less than half of Gentle Giant's.

During the move, the crew scratched my walls and caused significant damage to my furniture--damage so severe that it is beyond repair. None of the furniture was properly protected, and drawers were reassembled incorrectly. The worker was verbally aggressive, yelling at me and behaving in a deeply disrespectful manner, which was especially unsettling as a woman being spoken to that way in my own home. Despite purchasing furniture insurance, the claims process took over six weeks, only for the company to offer repairs on brand-new furniture rather than replacing items that were clearly damaged beyond reasonable repair. The claims manager was also dismissive and rude, further compounding the frustration. I strongly urge others not to hire this company. Do not be misled by positive reviews elsewhere--my experience was entirely unacceptable.
