Moose Buns was hands down one of my favorite food discoveries in Garden City! We stopped here early in the morning before heading out to kayak Bear Lake, planning to simply grab a coffee and something quick for breakfast. I had no idea I was about to become completely jaded when it comes to cinnamon rolls! I ordered the caramel walnut cinnamon roll, and WOW. It was absolutely incredible. The roll was soft, warm, gooey, and covered with delicious caramel and walnuts. Every bite was ridiculously good. I honestly have no idea what they do differently here, but this cinnamon roll has officially become the standard that every other cinnamon roll will now have to compete against. The coffee was also a great addition and made this the perfect quick breakfast before starting our day at Bear Lake. I love finding local places like this when we travel, especially when something as simple as stopping for breakfast turns into one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Moose Buns has officially earned a spot on our Bear Lake must-visit list. From now on, whenever we're staying in Garden City, this will be my first stop in the morning. If you love cinnamon rolls, do yourself a favor and try the caramel walnut. Just be warned--you may never look at another cinnamon roll the same way again! read more

Thank you so much to Emma and the other ladies working this morning. It was so nice chatting with them while my daughter and I placed our order. They even offered my dog a pup cup. My daughter got an artic freeze that was yummy and we shared a raspberry cinnamon bun which we pecked at all day basically. I also got a cute Bear Lake postcard from their selection of cards pins and stickers. The drinks are decent and the employees are kind, but this is the slowest coffee place I have ever been to, I waited in the drive through for 30 minutes minimum, with 3 cars infront of me, One car only had one small drink and it took 10 minutes for them to receive it. Worst coffee I've ever had. Normally pistachio cold brew is my go to, but this was not good at all. Looked like iced tea, tasted like a medicinal popsicle. Based on other reviews, seems like it's best to skip the cold brew here and stick to espresso. read more

I've had been stalking Moose Buns for a few weeks before my Bear Lake trip and was dying to eat there. We stopped by late morning after 10:00 and there was only one person in line, so the wait time was almost nonexistent. When it was our turn to order, the employee at the window (it's a walk up window) was extremely nice and helpful. We had never been there before, so he kindly answered all of our questions. He was such a nice guy and seemed to genuinely care! I ordered a breakfast burrito with philly meat and it was soooo good! I smothered it with the two little hot sauce packets they gave me. I let my kids have a bite and then they decided they wanted one too. The employee gladly grabbed us another one real quick (he was so awesome, wish I'd caught his name). The boys (my boyfriend and his two boys) got the cinnamon rolls and thought they were delicious. I was too busy inhaling my burrito to try a bite and I regret that. I had a really yummy English toffee with toasted marshmallow iced latte though. There was plenty of outside seating and they also have a cute little gift shop we checked out. As an out of state visitor to Bear Lake, I did not have high hopes for coffee in such a small and touristy area of Utah/Idaho. We tried a couple of the other local shops, the crepe place and Ruca's, and somehow their coffee was even below those low expectations. But Moose Buns had the goods. Service was great but I would come back here 6 days a week for the flavorful coffee, lattes, and chai drinks. Too bad they're closed on Saturdays!! read more

Stopped in to grab a coffee and breakfast burrito to fuel us for a ski day at Beaver Mountain. Drive thru was convenient and FAST. Service was polite and stellar. The burritos were PERFECT. They are not greasy and perfectly filled with a nice ratio of cheese, eggs, potatoes, and meat (we ordered one steak and one turkey sausauge- both amazing). We got mild hot sauce to put on them, which I think it needed to really take it to its full potential, otherwise it was slightly bland. The COFFEE was the real shining star, though. Made to order, not bitter, not too sweet, either, and with a nice kick of espresso to start the day. Highly recommend the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Red Eye. Was so excited to try out Moose Buns on our trip to Bear Lake. I was a bit nervous they wouldn't be open since my family and I visited in their off season and right after a snow storm. But we were pleasantly surprised when they were in fact open and we were able to order. We got few of the cinnamon roll flavors (original, cookie & candy) They were all delicious! OMG! I love cinnamon rolls and now I'm hooked on Moose Buns. Plain, Carmel Nut, Raspberry - yes we tried them all in 2 days and 2 visits. Add in a delicious Coconut Berry smoothie or another one of the flavorful drinks - and you'll be set. This cafe is off the beaten path but the food is really good! My husband and I were looking for a breakfast cafe and most places have a huge line in front with 45+ minutes wait - not a good idea for a Sunday morning. We went early as recommended but the buns weren't fresh or fluffy, rather dry and overpriced at 4.00 each. Of the two we found that at least the raspberry had some flavor but while they looked nice the topping was really only on top. The coffee wasnt great either for the price. We had heard nothing but good about Moose Buns and their raspberry Moose Bun. On a recent trip that took us through Garden City, we called ahead (approximately 7:15 AM) to order a dozen of the raspberry buns and a half dozen of regular buns. We indicated we would be coming through about 1:00 PM. I think we arrived about 1:15. We excitedly went to the window, paid for our buns, grabbed the several bags and headed on our way. We couldn't wait to try them. It's all anyone talked about before starting our trip and after we picked up our order. When we arrived at our destination, we hurriedly unpacked the sacks of buns and prepared them. Unfortunately the buns did not live up to the hype, sorry to say. We followed the directions we were given to heat them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds but that didn't do it. The buns were dry. Everyone in our group expected the raspberry ones to be that, raspberry buns. Instead they were cinnamon buns with raspberry syrup drizzled across the top. All were disappointed. Not one person in our group completed eating one of the buns. They all made it about half-way through and ended it there. We really wanted them to be good. We were in town only 2 days and had to go to this place multiple times. I believe we ended up with a total of 5 cinnamon rolls for 2 people (we brought some home with us). Their raspberry cinnamon roll is without a doubt in the upper echelon of all cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten. We didn't finish them. Only 3 stars instead of 4 because they asked for a tip.
