This location is one of only a few restaurants in the area. We were staying in Fort Bridger and drove over to have a sit-down meal. The building shares an entrance with the truck stop/fuel station/convenience store. This makes it a bit confusing as to where the restaurant is located, but we found it. We had seen on other yelp reviews that this wasn't the cleanest place, and that is certainly true. The day we visited, the dining room was filled with flies. They were so pesky, that it made it difficult to sit and wait for our food because they just wouldn't leave us alone. A fly strip or two may have helped quite a bit with this issue. We sat at a low table, but there was bar seating as well, which most of the locals chose to use. Our table was a wood surface coated with a clear varnish that was sticky to the touch and likely not very cleanable. The condiments were very dirty and gross. We chose not to use them with our food. There was only one waitress working and one cook, and there were 3 other people besides us dining in. The food still seemed extra slow coming out. It appeared that the cook only worked on one order at a time, so we watched as each patron was served until ours came out. I ordered the Malibu Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. My sandwich didn't really have much flavor, but it tasted fine. My fries were not too greasy as can be the case with sweet potatoes. I was hungry and devoured my meal. My husband ordered the chili burger with tots. He said the chili was mediocre and the tots needed salt. I thought the tots had an old grease flavor that I did not care for. After reading the great reviews ww decided to hit this place before we hit the road. We were greeted promptly and told to sit where we liked. Got coffee and water right away. They're the only place around for miles in the actual middle of nowhere; however, they happen to be good, they have a nice menu, and they're cheap. OK, you would TOTALLY not notice this café if you were driving along, but we met a friend here who lives in Ft Bridger and she swore it was good. Not super crowded on a late Sunday afternoon. Server was with us promptly and checked on us a couple of times to see if we were ready to order. Friend had the most amazing looking ham & cheese omelet with huge chucks of ham and a plate sized pancake. (I would have taken a picture but she'd already put ketchup on the omelet!) Husband had the open faced hamburger steak sandwich which was covered in gravy, and he demolished all of it. He ate some of his beer battered fries, which I tasted and they were good. I ordered a pork chop with beer battered fries and ended up with tater tots. Oops. Not the end of the world - fried potatoes are fried potatoes. It came with sliced carrots which were good.. However, the pork chop was fried and not grilled, which I really didn't like. It was tough to cut and was dry. Of course, it was a thick, 10 oz chop, and I guess I've never had one that big nor fried. I did take it as a leftover because I think it can be resurrected. I actually enjoyed the crunchy outside texture. What I enjoyed the most, though, and gobbled it up, was the creamy tomato soup of the day, which was really a bisque and had great seasonings and bits of tomato. DON'T pass on this! You won't be disappointed if you stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have a large enough menu to satisfy anybody's preference... and, they serve breakfast all day. My husband has always wanted to try this place because someone told him it was good. It isn't All-American food, it's food made in Wyoming, USA very poorly. 2.5 stars because they have a clean bathroom, paper towels, but after we got our food our waitress never reached out to us.
