    The Bakery!
    Blake W.

In a world where you are visiting from "big city California", you are energy depleted, in desperate need of caffeine and Grandma is starving, craving a special muffin for breakfast on her 80th birthday, you go to The Bakery to fulfill your needs. I go in with my younger brother's girlfriend (the two of them are in the photo with their coffee!) and with it being our first time, we were amazed by the ambience of the shop. The decor was gorgeous and eye catching and it was CLEAN and tidy! Alex (one of the owners) greeted us with a smile and helped us with our order. We ordered: 2 chocolate muffins, 1 lemon poppyseed muffin (for Grandma), an iced Americano (for Mother), a dirty Chai, a caramel Latte, and an iced Mocha. While we waited, Marijke (the other owner) came by and chatted with us. She gave us a bit of history: how she and Alex started out with the business and how things have been going. They work with other local businesses and purchased the shop next door for Rossi Market (I believe for selling local goods) which is so exciting! We were blessed to find this small little slice of heaven in town. The coffee was good (down to the soul type of good) and the muffins were so tasty! (Grandma Approved ) Thank you to everyone at The Bakery for warm, small town greetings to these crazy city folks that needed energy and a muffin to feed Grandma! (It truly did make her day, she mentioned multiple times how yummy it was!) We will stop by when we are in town again!

This lovely bakery just opened in Evanston in March 2024. The warm, inviting entryway welcomes you into this hidden gem. The scrumptious goodies on display make your mouth water, and The Bakery offers gluten free options as well. Their gluten free lasagna was ooey gooey goodness. The owner and her team were extremely kind, considerate, and welcoming. This is the perfect place to grab a coffee and pastry or lunch and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings. Just my cup of chai tea!

Such a cute area with lovely staff! Had the pleasure of talking to the owner and he mentioned it's a fairly new bakery. Happy I was able to support. Got a bagel w egg and cream cheese and dirty chai.. it is a 10/10.

They came with a wonderfully seasoned olive oil dipping sauce! Service was wonderful, friendly, and our waitperson really was well versed in the details of each special, she checked on us frequently, and gave us the low down on their desserts, but all night we were eyeing the gelato case! Couldn't wait for dessert! We had a scoop of coffee and a scoop of coconut presented in cute little (but generous sized) tea cups! As full and satisfied as we were, we ate every bit of the gelato! Everything was incredibly yummy! We had hoped to get back to Cortona one more time before the week was over, but never made it! :( Definitely we will be back the next time we're in Park City!!

The food was mostly good, rolls were excellent, but my wife's pomodoro had some seemingly overcooked and dry chicken breast on it marring the otherwise great sauce. Ambiance is great when they're not busy I would assume, but it was so loud inside we couldn't hear the server. Consider it, but only if you're not in a hurry and don't care to talk while you wait I suppose.

The cake was not decorated with the writing we asked for. We didn't realize this until the event. Lesson learned - check your cake before you leave the bakery. The staff was not apologetic about this at all when I called the next day. They offered a refund. I wanted a new cake so we could take pictures. It was a retirement party for someone who worked 37 years for our company. They reluctantly agreed to a new cake - but only what was in the case and ready. The new cake was smaller and when I picked it up - it had chocolate frosting with chocolate writing. They made it right- but it seemed like a huge pain for the bakery. And when I picked up the replacement cake - it was placed on the counter for me with no talking. No apology, no talking. Very awkward. I will never go back.
