I had a great experience with Moore's on their first visit. That has changed after their second visit. On the second service call, after they fixed the issue, I firmly believed the issue had been caused by their error in relation to the first call. They charged me over $200, so I questioned the reason in that I felt their original installation caused the issue; it had been less than a year, and the piece that fell off wasn't secured properly. BJ refused to accommodate, stating it wasn't his fault although he had placed the pump in the tank. I disagreed and stated that if the part had been secured correctly, it would not have fallen off. I yielded and paid Moore's. Now, today....11/20/2025 I have an issue with the tank once again. It's been a while, but I call Moore's Sand and Septic because I like them. BJ called me back shortly after I made the new appointment to tell me he refuses to come to my house because I upset his driver when I questioned the past service and why it cost me over $200 for them to screw a bolt on that they didn't tighten. It seems I hurt his feelings because, as a consumer and a customer, I questioned why I was being charged. He said, "Your wife was rude to my driver." She was not rude. One would think that, being in a public business, you could respond as an adult. Apparently not. You can use them, but I'd think twice about ever calling them for anything. read more

We called Moore at 1 PM yesterday to report an issue - toilets not flushing as normal - and Heather talked us through possible solutions. The problem was solved by 3 PM! All without the cost of a $300 service call! All without being inconvenienced! Moore installed our septic system in 2016. The knowledge of employees who installed, help maintain, and troubleshoot issues on the phone are first rate. Responsiveness is excellent. Someone always answers the phone! I called this company today in a panic, OK maybe not a full-blown panic, but pretty close to a full-blown panic. They were the second company I called this morning needing an emergency fix for my septic system. They were not able to make it out today, do you know what they did? They did what I call the Macy's affect... When they can't help you, they send you to someone who can. Absolutely hands-down the best service anyone could ever imagine! The company they referred me to was beyond awesome, how great is it the small businesses help small businesses?! Without their referral I would be in a poopy situation lol So while this company did not help me resolve the problem physically, they helped me by referring me to someone that did. Had septic tank pump out , truck pump leaked on to the muffler creating a large cloud of crap smelling fog. Left a 3' stain on road.

I had been dreading getting a new septic system. It wasn't just at the cost but some companies wanted to take down my red cedar that provides me with privacy and shade. BJ at Moore's Sand and Septic thought he could get his mini excavator in and only take off 3 limbs. That was important to me. BJ., Steve, Charles , and Chandler all arrived early on the scheduled day, they worked diligently and got the job done in 5 hours. They called county to come inspect , and they were here the next day after the county to fill in the hole and finish up. BJ only took a small piece off one of the limbs of the tree. I called and talked to Heather. She went above and beyond trying to work me into their schedule and got me a fast response. Great communication and she let me know when they were on the way. Ben and Dan also called when they were on the way and arrived and resolved the problem. They were courteous and very knowledgeable. It is impossible these days to find someone in the services business that grasps the concept of service, but Moore's is an exception. My experience started with Heather who answered the phone. She is clearly familiar with the business and suggested a few easy checks to avoid a trip. Seeing the issue was more than a simple one she scheduled a call for the next day with the promise that if she could get us in the same day or sooner, she would call us back. True to her word she called back with an earlier time. Gabe and Ben showed up promptly the next day. They jumped right in and with true professionalism quickly diagnosing the problem. They suggested options to the repair with candid honesty and zero pressure. They took the time to show and explain how the system works and how each of the options would achieve the desired result and left the decision totally up to me. Once I made my decision they got right to work. They knew exactly what they were doing and the end result was a truly professional repair. This company installed my septic system only 4 years ago. I recently had it pumped and inspected and was informed the dosing tank would need to be replaced. Most likely due to improper pouring of the original concrete or poor quality concrete. I called them for help after speaking with many people in the industry and doing research and finding out these systems should last much, much longer. A man from the company came to inspect and claimed he installed it himself and that it looked normal and was fine. When I asked him to document his statements in writing he refused. Even explaining " no one wants to be sued." That's very fishy. Added a photo of his explanation. If you don't want to replace a very expensive system don't use this company. read more

We were in a jam today - our sewer system has a grinder and a pump that all need to work. If not, then everything backs up and it's a mess. The county said we needed an electrician and passed the buck, the electrician said we needed a septic company. Moore Sand & Septic was called late on a Friday afternoon and came right away. We had been without the use of a toilet all day - sorry gas station up the street - and the two Moore employees could not have been more pleasant. They evaluated the issue and got it fixed right away and all for $150 dollars which I thought was a bargain! These guys are great! read more

We are residents of an area that still has septic tanks and drain fields. We have recently had to replace our outdated (30 year old) drain field. We have used Moore's Sand and Septic for pumping out our septic tanks. Our new drain field is now in the ground! GREAT work done by Steve, Keith and Andrew. Work began on Tuesday morning. By 4 p.m. right before another rain storm came, the new drain field was ready for County Health Department inspection on Wednesday. On Thursday B.J. contacted us after they had had word from the County that they could cover over the field. Sand moved back into place and clean up done in a timely manner! Very satisfied with the pump service that I received from Charles and Gabe today! They came on time, even a tad early, and were very courteous and efficient.
