Im not sure why this store has such bad reviews?? We walked in on Friday for an event on SATURDAY- very last minute. And were helped right away by Fariba, she was so nice, cared and listened to what we were looking for, and we were able to get a full outfit with shoes in less than an hour!! Went to Moores to buy a suit for a upcoming wedding I have, was greeted upon entry by an employee he helped me pick a very nice Calvin Klein suit the jacket fitted perfect but the pants were very loose and needed to be altered. I told the gentleman I wanted my pants tighter because that's how I wear them, he insisted that they were fine and said his 20+ years of being in this business were more important than how a customer wanted something. I also purchased a white shirt that had a stain on it upon purchase I was told that I had to wash the shirt anyway. At the end of the day I have to get my pants altered again and it's just a headache, I wish the customers opinion mattered a bit more and that workers were more courteous of these things cause at the end of the day we are paying. read more

I am getting married in a few months, and I went to Moores on recommendation. I planned on getting my own suit purchased, and then renting for my groomsmen. It all started well - the manager was wonderful, helping me fit a suit and find all the prices, materials, and fabrics that fit me best. Gave me his personal cellphone number, helped tons. So where did it go wrong? When I got to the rentals department, I was met by an incredibly unhelpful team. Fariba, who runs this section, didn't want to help at all. I asked for recommendations, help picking colors, which fabrics work - all met with "well, you have to choose". I was hoping that a store like this could at least give some input on what people do at most weddings, but I received almost no help. No worries though, right? Wrong. It gets worse. When we finally settled on some rental details, she was woefully inadequate at doing the administrative side too. She struggled to use the computer system to prepare the rental. It took upwards of 30 minutes to perform a simple task. And on top of that, they were sticky on the deals. Rent 4, get the 5th free? Doesn't count if the groom is included, even if they're renting the same suit as everyone else. There was no give, no sway, no attempt to help whatsoever. And on top of all of this, she refused to use the measurements for my suit provided by the manager. She wanted to do all the measurements over again. All of them. Even though the manager had just wonderfully measured me out. After tacking on a series of hidden fees (maintenance fee, tie fee, etc), the price was substantially higher than advertised. We went here to get the guys tuxedos for our wedding and what a nightmare it turned out to be. The two women who look after the rentals are rude, ignorant and do not have a clue how to fit a man for a suit. We went in and Renee had a sore arm and could only function with one arm. When I asked her to get help she didnt want to. She shouldn't of even been working. We went through eveything and when we went to try them on the colours were all wrong. The suit was dirty, the shirt not ironed and had cat hair on it. Both ladies were rude to us so i went ot head office and asked for my money back and went to another rental place. All this happened two days before my wedding. I would not recommend Moores suit rentals unless you want more stress. Worst ever. Also all the reviews over the past 4 years are bad but I guess Moores doesn't care or doesn't read them. read more

3 weeks to get a suit rental because they "get them from back east". What a terrible way to do this, and theres nothing on their website stating thats their process, i rented years ago and was fitted in the store and picked up a few days later, definitely not 3 weeks ahead of an event. What a waste, why wouldn't they at least have their rental suits local. Makes no sense and i will never step into a moores again. Last July I got married and went here for clothing rentals. Suits, vests, tuxes, everything stylish. A manager even did a fancy thing with two coloured napkins than was awesome. So you are wondering....why 1 star rating? Well....it's because when we went for fittings a few weeks before we were precisely measured. Promised the warehouse would hem the clothing perfectly. The day before the wedding I learn my jackets arms are too long. So they promise to have it fixed. After some talking they tell me they can't fix it. Slightly longer sleeves, no worries right? Probably deserves 4 stars. Well.... I spent about 1000 dollars for myself and 4 other men....in addition to the about 100 each of them spent. See it was July so I knew I needed breathable fabric for the heat. Okay...so two stars, maybe three cause I am a nice person you think. No Not only was my suit arms too long but the only suit they got right, remotely, was my best man. (And even then it was a bit baggy). One groom could not button his suit at all because it was too tight and another had one that looked three sizes too big. After the money and the time and the care I gave to this place they screwed me, big time.....sure, they included extra things like vests and pretty ties but at the end of the day would you rather look like a man with improperly fitting clothing at your own wedding, or have one less shiny tie. Think about it. Also as a deal I get a free suit with that rental...yeah, after screwing up my own wedding so bad, I could never trust them with a suit ever again. We rented tuxedos for my wedding and I wish I had bought instead. They were ill fitting when we were getting measured and it was promised it would fit well when it arrived. Of course, it arrived 2 days before the event which meant I was stuck with it either way. Only the shoes and jacket fit well and I looked like a boy getting ready for prom. It also cost more than I expected, certainly more than the value of what I got. Additionally, the people on the floor would frequently walk away from helping me and it took talking to the manager to get any reasonable assistance. The nail in the coffin was on the day of the wedding when the top button of my best man's jacket popped off out of nowhere. We scrambled to find needle and thread due to the poor quality of the rentals. Think hard before renting or buying here. I'd be surprised if this was the right choice for you. read more

Was told to loose weight when their seamstress couldn't let out the wrong size the salesman sold me. He said they could make it work, so I trusted him. Was told 'we did our best' after spending $800. I was a regular Moore's customer, but that was the downtown location. Won't go back to this location for sure, and am hopeful that the d/t location didn't go down the tube too. read more

Horrible customer service! Operations manager and General Manager were useless.. Revived an 80$ dress shirt for Christmas from my very elderly grandparents .. I had the bag, the packaging , the tag.. Everything but the receipt. They would only give me a giftcard! They said if they returned the shirt and have me cash back that the computer would honk they were stealing money! I said in giving you the brand new shirt back! Useless employees. I will never go to a moores again. I'm a tall 6'8 and find clothes my size there all the time... After this experience I will never support them in anyway. This is my first review on anything but feel the need to shun this place publicly . Very disappointed read more

Terrible customer service, no class at all. We made an appt. for a fitting, weeks in advance. Arrived to be seated with nothing to look at for 30 minutes. We walked out. Subsequently complained on the website, got the manager. Manager fitted son, was pretentious and comparative of my kid to her own kids successes. My son who likes everyone hated her. Made note that the grad dates were split up, 14th for dinner & dance (kid not going) and commencement on the 21st. Suit arrived, son returned alone to store for final fitting. I returned to store a week later and found out that they had sent the suit back to the warehouse. Rush ordered suit, I had to go back and pick up. No final fitting due to time of delivery. Suit is not the same one as we ordered. Jacket won't button closed, pants are loose, like old man pants, larger than needed. Didn't get a single discount or comp. for the mess around on the fitting, or on the suit having been returned. They apologized for the mess up, but didn't do anything else. If this was my store I would have at least discounted the rental 50% for the inconveniences. The cost of the rental was nearly $ 260. The 40% off coupon on my next purchase was a "nice" sarcastic touch. Will NOT return, and will not use for any future weddings or events with 5 sons. I will be telling everyone I know. read more

I have been dealing with this location for over 25 years and its probably time that I provide a review. My dealings here have always been positive and on those rare occasions that I needed some tailoring done fast they were able to accommodate me. I find their pricing reasonable and its nice to see that over the past few years they seem to be carrying a greater selection of varied articles. They keep me coming back, way better than fighting the mall crowds. read more

Should have read reviews on Yelp before going to this place . Called this location April 17 to ask if they have a certain pair of shoes in stock, the lady said those are discontinued but we have some sizes. I thought great. Drove to Coquitlam moores location , upon arrival no one greeted us, their was an Iranian sales guy that ignored me the whole time I was looking for shoes , then once I started going through all the shoe boxes he comes up to me and asks " are you looking for something "? . Iike I was being some kind of burden being there as a customer. He saw me looking for shoes and he still asks are you looking for something , anyways he mumbled and walked away. The lady I spoke yo on the phone asked if I needed help and I mentioned that I'm looking for a pair of shoes that you guys have in stock , she said they are discontinued . So basically she lied to me on the phone says shoes were in stock to get me in the door , I know this because she started saying " oh these once are Also similar and they looked nothing like the shoes I was told are in stock, come on lady I was not born yesterday . Nice typical car salesman technique . Must be commission based pay and bonuses. I supply a lot of our guys at work with work dress shoes and sport coats . This will be one place my guys are not going to allowed to get reimbursed for purchases, the email will be going out Monday morning to my staff. Im going to stick with the Bay Excellent service , got exact shoes we were looking for . Get out of our city with your cheap sales tactics and crappy service. Nice try but no cigar ! read more
