I bought my wedding dress from EBTG, i had multiple appointments, they helped me in and out of the dresses, were super helpful and allowed me to choose from sooooo many different styles of dresses. Every dress is beautiful. The only thing my parents didn't like about the entire experience is they don't offer you any champagne. LOL read more

First off I would like to state that I found the dress I always wanted. However, I was advised to order a bigger size due to my measurements. The size I tried on fit me like a glove, there were areas that were super tight and others that were not. I recieved the size that was ordered and made a few adjustments to it which required more money obviously. My wedding day came and this is when I find out that the size they made me ordered was way to big as the dress gave out substantially. My dress was no longer form fitting and I was frustrated the whole day as the straps would not stay up and the chest would bubble out etc. When shopping for your dream dress you hope the employees and everyone would be honest and genuine about what they recommend. This was not the case for me. I feel played as though they only wanted more money from me even though I already was spending a lot on the dress. Not impressed at all! read more

I don't even know where to start.... I had heard so many positive reviews about this place and was SO excited about going that we made the trip to Langley (about 1hour drive) with my mom and grandma that were visiting town. I had originally booked this appointment a few months ago and recently I got told that it was a trunk sale and also my appointment was pushed back 30 mins. All good here, I thought that's awesome, I'm going to get to see some awesome deals as well as everything you guys have to offer. However this was not the case. As soon as we walked in they told us that the only dresses that were out that day were the trunk sale dresses and not the original collection. This was the first negative point of our experience. As a large reason we had come here was because you carry a few of the designers that I love. And adding to this, there was not a lot of variety of dresses in my size. Anyways we showed our stylist what sort of dress we were looking for and Demi (I believe that was her name) nicely went to the back and pulled out a few of the "regular collection". Then we went into the change room to try them on. The change room was great, spacious and very comfortable for my guests and for myself. We were trying on dresses and our stylist kept on looking at the time as if she was in a rush. She was lovely however, we had multiple questions and she didn't know many of the answers, she had to continuously go to the other girls and ask them continuously, so this didn't give us they certainty that she really knew what she was talking about (and this is quite important when you're spending lots of money buying a wedding dress for the big day). We had finally narrowed it down to two dresses we really liked and we were trying them both side by side to see which one I would choose. However to our surprise your stylist says "okay your time is up, you can't try on the next one as we have another girl waiting for the change room." I was mind boggled! And why is this? Well when I first called in to book an appointment a few months ago they told me that my appointment would be 1hour and 30 minutes not 1hour. If I would have known that when they called me a few weeks ago to push my appointment back by 30 min it was that I was actually only getting an hour instead of 1.5hours. If I would have known this I would have probably made an appointment another day. I felt incredibly rushed to make a decision and although these two dresses were the ones I had narrowed them to I decided to leave empty handed. I am incredibly disappointed as I had heard so many positive things about Everything But the Groom. But my experience was the worst I have had in all my dress trying appointments. I hope this is taken into account and they learn from their mistakes for all future brides. Thank you. read more

4 months before my wedding! i was originally going to rent my dress, but after going in for an initial fitting and looking back at the photos, some of the dresses weren't my absolute favorites. I was on a hunt for a wedding dress. I initially thought about buying off the rack a month before the wedding and hope for the best. I was in langley to meet with a vendor for my wedding. I hardly ever go out to langley, so i suggested my fiance to check out downtown langley. I always heard about other past brides raving about EBTG, I happened to stumble into the shop and made an appt with a consultant to buy a dress. I initially didn't intend on buying a dress, but I found the one. My consultant was Yvonne, it was kind of hard to understand her through her super thick scottish accent. She was super helpful, she gave some pretty honest feed back. She saw that I picked a dress that was waaay to big for me and she went out and picked out a similar dress similar to my size. Yvonne listened to what I envisioned for my wedding day. She listened to some of the horror stories I had at other bridal shops. I told her how other bridal consultants put me in dresses 2 sizes too big and clamped me in. There's nothing more frustrating than trying on a wedding dress that's 2 sizes too big and trying to envision what it looks like on you - in your size. During my first consult, Yvonne assured me that despite the samples they have, I shouldn't be deterred by the colour. It was nice that EBT had random fabtic of the colours of the wedding dresses could be ordered. she forgot to take my measurements. I had some concerns about getting my dress in time for the wedding. She was nice enough to e-mail her suppliers and see where they had stock. Yvonne called me back a few days later to tell me where there was stock and when I could expect it. I had to go back a 2nd time for her to take my measurements and my deposit for the dress, she had me look at the dress a 2nd time to make sure I still wanted it. When she took my measurements, my body being weird, showed that my bust, waist and my hips all measured for different sizes. She consulted with her manager and advised that we take the chance and order the sample size I tried on. would jump on the bandwagon on recomending EBT to future brides to go look for dresses read more

Do NOT get your dress altered here! The seamstress charged me for a bustle and when I got in my dress on my wedding day, she had forgotten to sew the button on. My bridal party was frantically looking for the right button to blend in with the dress and they were sewing it on minutes before I waked down the aisle.. Not only that, my seamstress was incredibly unprofessional and made the fittings uncomfortable. She talked about the most inappropriate things and rushed me through each fitting. She was always late, and even left me partway through a fitting to do someone else's fitting instead. I strongly recommend you do NOT have your dress altered here. The buying experience is lovely and the sales team is great, but the other part is such a nightmare. read more

I went in on Sunday October 29/2017, my consultant was Tara. EBTG was having a sample sale, and the prices were SO good! For any bride on a budget, definitely check out their sample sales. Pros: Tara was so friendly, it was like having an enthusiastic friend with you. My mom and I got clips to tag what dresses we wanted to try on. Tara looked at my Pinterest account to get an idea of what I was looking for, and pulled a couple herself. The second dress we tried on everyone loved, but the off shoulder sleeve wasn't doing it for me. When I discovered I could cut that off to make it a unique strapless "swan lake/SJP sex and the city wedding" neckline, Tara let us know approx how much that alteration would be (it wasn't much), and had lots of useful suggestions about the dress (how to add a blush organza layer to the skirt to make it a bit more pink, looking into a corset in the back instead of a zipper, etc). At the end we had a "are you saying yes to the dress?" moment which was so cute. Very happy that I came to this salon. My mom, aunt, cousin and I had a really lovely time. Cons: Only one really - being it was a sample sale weekend, there were back to back appointments, which meant our time was up after 1 hour which went by so fast. I wish we'd had even half an hour more to really look through all the dresses, but I'm very happy with the one I ended up with. I knew with it being a sample sale it would be busy though, so still giving them 5 stars. Overall, I loved my time at EBTG. When I'm ready for alterations, I will likely bring the dress back here because I loved their customer service so much. read more

I almost feel like I need different star ratings for my different experiences here.... Day 1 was great! I went into the shop with a good idea of what I was looking for, and left having purchased my wedding dress, a veil, as well as some straps that I wanted added on. Then I got the exciting call that my dress was in and it was time to try it on! Day 2 - I go into the shop expecting to try it on and leave it there for any alterations - and they awkwardly tell me that they do not have enough space for storage as it was both wedding and graduation season, so they could either 'smoosh' it in the back, or I should just take it home and bring it back for alterations. Mind you, this is my first time buying a wedding dress, so I don't know what normal is, but I found that a little bit strange! I took the dress home, and decided to look for a seamstress in Vancouver as that would save me driving back out to the shop. I booked in with another seamstress - everything was great with the dress! - but the INSTANT she took the straps out of the bag she was so upset she REFUSED to sew them on the dress. When holding them together, you could tell that they were actually not the same width (they are off by a full millimetre, which is a big deal on 4 mm straps), and they were more of a beige colour than the dress itself (not an actual match). It was actually my seamstress who insisted that I return them to the shop, as she couldn't believe that they had sold them to me in the first place. At this point, it was 2 weeks before our wedding, and I did not have the time or the brain space to drive out to Langley, so I figured I'd leave it to after the wedding. After trying to return the straps - which are still in excellent, mismatched condition, and hopefully not going on anyone else's dress - Heidi simply told me that since they are hand made they will have variances in them, and they are a final sale. I am shocked that this shop will go to those lengths to keep their $30. So I suppose to sum it up - this could be a great place to shop for a wedding dress, but I do not recommend using their seamstress options, or purchasing anything that their seamstresses would make. read more

I had such an amazing experience at Everything But the Groom. My consultant, Erin, was more than accommodating, patient, kind and understanding. The first time I went in, I was more than 15 minutes late for my appointment and nearing closing time. Not once did Erin rush me or make me feel like I was taking up too much of her time (unlike David's Bridal in Langley..I hated it there). Upon booking my second visit, I requested Erin again and EBTG had already taken the initiative to do so. Overall, I had such a wonderful experience and said YES to the dress here! Cute name for a wedding store, and it was easy to find considering I don't venture out to Langley much. I was with my girl friends picking up THE wedding dress I was looking for. The website I was on listed this place to be one of the few that still carried my soon-to-be-discontinued dress. I called ahead to ask if they carried this specific dress, and what the price was. When I arrived, I was greeted with friendly staff. The store wasn't as big as I expected, but it still had my dress nonetheless. As requested, the dress was placed on hold under my name. They allowed all 3 of my gal pals to wait in the fitting area as I got dressed, even though they were quite busy with other brides. The fitting room associate helped pin my dress in places that needed altering to show me what the finished product would look like. Aside from that, I wasn't suggested any other accessories for my big day. It would have been nice to be offered a veil or shoes to complete the look. On the bright side, I got a really good deal on my dress. I don't know if this was every bride's experience, but I came for one thing and one thing only. They must have sensed it because I was in and out of that store within 20 minutes without being given any up sell attempts. read more

At first I loved this store. They were so nice and had a great selection. I bought a beautiful dress that I was assured would be altered to my size. They strongly suggest you order a size up and then alter. What they didn't clarify was that alterations would end up costing $500! More than I initially wanted to spend on my dress. I would have been fine with the $500 but the most disappointing thing was that the alterations were done poorly and my dress was a mess. The clasp on the belt of the skirt broke en route to the ceremony. The ball gown skirt hung at the most unflattering point of my waist making me look larger than I was, and the lace overlay looked wrinkled over the satin in all my photos. I was heartbroken. I had the BEST EXPERIENCE!!! My consultant Mikayla was so sweet and helpful! I had picked my wedding dress and veil without any pressure. She was really patient with me and made me feel like VIP :) Their prices are fair and they do have a good selection on the sale rack. My only tip when it comes to booking alterations is to book early in the day because the tailors do get really busy. I couldn't have imagined a better experience! I had visited a couple of stores previously to this one, and while they were enjoyable, they didn't provide the experience I had hoped for. Upon entering Everything But the Groom, I could see that the store was busy, and it was almost closing time. I had scheduled a very short appointment, as I was just there for one dress in mind, but it soon became apparent that I hated my sought-after dress. Erin, my awesome consultant took the time to look at the other photo ideas I had brought in, and even made suggestions for me, in spite of the store closing soon. We ended up finding the most AMAZING dress ever, although I could tell my mom was hesitant because it was a touch more expensive than the others we had tried on. Erin let us know that there was an upcoming trunk show, and that not only would we get 10% off a dress if we purchased it there, but that Monte from "Say Yes to the Dress" would be my consultant! We signed up, and quite honestly, I still get giddy when I think of the experience. I scored my dream dress, and now the only thing to do is to wait impatiently for it to arrive!! I bought my bridal dress from EBTG and I was blown away by their service! The girls were so thoughtful and listened well to what I was wanting in my dream dress. I was a little surprised at the option to give a tip when purchasing the dress (upwards of $125 for a tip) as I haven't seen that before, but the employees made it worth it. Pros: The store itself is very nice. I love the large changing rooms with the seating for guests and huge wall to wall mirrors. The decor is charming and makes you feel like you are in a doll house or candy shop for adults. There is lots of pink and b&w striped wall paper. And the dress selection is nice as well. I really liked the consultants that I was booked with. One was Tara who was bubbly and effervescent. I typically am suspicious of overly enthusiastic people because they come across as insincere but Tara just seemed genuinely happy to help and to love her job. She shared a lot of information and tips with me about her own wedding which I really appreciated. She also made me feel really good because her energy was contagious and she was completely focused on me during my appointment. This is what you ultimately are looking for when wedding dress shopping. The other was Demi, who is the complete opposite of Tara. She is very laid back and gentle in her demeanor but I really loved her too. She is a gorgeous girl who often models the dressses in EBTG's social media and what I liked about having her is she seemed to be very fashion forward and her insight on what was stylish and looked good was believable to me. However she was totally down to earth, approachable and kind as well. Also her mom is another consultant and she came by and chatted and gave me some feedback on the dresses too - which was really nice. All in all - the consultants rocked it at EBTG. Cons: This one thing really colored my whole experience with EBTG. It is a shame because the consultants were lovely and seem to love working there. I didn't like the owner/manager at all. Everytime I came into the shop or spoke to her on the phone she came across as really cold. I am not sure if it was me she didn't like or she has one of those faces where she looks pissed all the time but really isn't but it made me feel SO. UNCOMFORTABLE. all the time. I just wanted to feel like my business mattered because for me $1500 is a lot of money to spend and this is a really special time in my life and a purchase you put a lot of consideration into. Maybe she didn't like me for whatever reason but if that is true she could try a lot harder to mask it. Even now I get anxious thinking about and for that reason I really don't want to shop there again. Now before you think, "maybe she was just having an off day." Nope. I saw her on several occasions and it was always the same face, expression and real lack of enthusiasm/emotion in her voice. Now I know that opinion is totally subjective so f I were to give them some constructive feedback I would say this: instead of collecting a bunch of vendor flyers and paraphernalia to display at the counter and distribute to the brides in their goodie bags (I got one when I first tried on dresses) I would put information in about the wedding dress shopping and buying process. I would have liked to know up front what the timeline was like for ordering a dress, altering a dress, paying for a dress etc. They tell you this verbally but it would have been nice to have it written down and include some of their own in house policy as well. When I ordered my dress I didn't hear from them for ages and then 6 months later they called and said it had arrived and I had a week to pay for it in full and come and get it. At that time I wasn't living in Langley anymore and was working full-time so that was unrealistic and put a lot of stress on me. I also would have appreciated someone telling me how to hang my dress and take it in and out of the storage bag. My seamstress was the one who informed me I HAD to guide the zipper on the inside with my hand or that it could snag and rip the dress. She said this was really basic knowledge. She was also the one who told me I must never hang my dress by the straps. Honestly - who would know this??? A tailor would. A bridal consultant would. Not me and I wager not many other people. So why wouldn't they tell me this when I picked up my dress? This extra step/attention to details would have made such a difference. I really feel like they dropped the ball big time with this. In the end, if I had to do it over again I would still book an appointment there but I am not sure I would buy from them again. After purchasing my dress I found a lot of online retailers whose selection was really beautiful who got a lot of excellent reviews and whose prices were way more affordable like CocoMelody and BHLDN. I think I would use bridal shops to try on dresses and see what I like and then purchase something similiar online and save some money. After all, you only wear it once right? read more

Bought our bridesmaid dresses today! Well, had two of 4 girls fitted and deposits down :) After our second visit they were very accommodating - very friendly, wonderful to work with. We were late for our appointment and they weren't rude to us at all just said to let them know when we were good to go. Found a great dress, great price (order 4 you receive 10%) off, and alterations prices quoted stand to be quite reasonable. When we were trying bridesmaid dresses they left us to hem and haw, go at our own pace and we're helpful but not in our face at all. Perfect! I'll recommend this shop to all! read more

However, the consultant that worked with me seemed to have very little interest in helping me. I was by myself and with me entered a big group of young girls supporting their friend while dress shopping. It seemed the consultant that was supposed to deal with me would have much rather dealt with them. She pulled the dresses I wanted and then disappeared for several minutes. When she came back she seemed very bored, stood there while I tried on the dresses, never saying much. My appointment was over in less than 20 minutes... Terrible experience My best friend and I are both getting married this year. We would have loved to support a local business, but unfortunately this store has pushed us straight into the welcoming arms of their competition. We walked into "Everything but the Groom" around noon. Not only are we very easy going customers, but we were looking to buy the full package right then and there. I mean the dress, shoes, accessories, everything. Having worked in retail for many years before, I am well versed in how the customer experience (especially clothing), is supposed to go. I don't think it's supposed to make you feel like Julia Roberts in that scene from "Pretty Woman". Not only were we not greeted, we were blatantly ignored for the entire half an hour we were in the store. When you're hoping to give a business a few thousand dollars of your own money, desperate "please help me" attempts at eye contact shouldn't be necessary. The two staff members at the register were too busy talking amongst themselves to pay attention to us. And, they were speaking very negatively about the bridesmaids who had left as we were coming in! No good afternoon ladies, no hello, not even a smile. After waiting to be acknowledged in anyway, we finally gave up. Not only will I never go back there, but I will warn anyone else getting married about their terrible service, small selection, dingy and "clearance sale" atmosphere. Save your time ladies, go somewhere, anywhere else. "Everything but the Groom" if your everything means dusty garters, and 5 kinds of cheap shoes. Oh, and if the establishment is reading this, please don't add one of those "We are so sorry you had a less then excellent experience..." -comments. Pros: -I had 2 lovely consultants - Tara and Demi. Tara is really fun and gregarious and made my first dress fitting really energetic and enjoyable. Demi is a lot more laid back but I enjoyed her as well too. Both of them did not make me feel rushed and helped me overcome some of my anxieties about buying a wedding dress. I also have to say - they both made me feel like they enjoyed their jobs and were authentically enthusiastic about helping me. I can't thank them enough and I hope they are valued for the amazing employees they are. -The store is really charming and intimate and you don't feel over-crowded like you do in David's. The dressing rooms are so amazing too. They are big and private and have huge mirrors, pedestals for standing on, couches for your entourage to sit on and are tastefully decorated. The only thing that would make this perfect would be complimentary champagne but that could ruin the dresses!! -The free parking on the street! Horray:) Cons: -Ok am I the only one who does not like the owner/manager? She was so incredibly cold to me every time I came into the store and I couldn't figure out why. It made me so unbelievably uncomfortable. I almost didn't want to come in because I didn't want to see her. I really hated this because I was spending so much money there and was incredibly anxious about the whole experience. I honestly don't think I would shop there again because of it. Thank God for her employees because if it wasn't for them I don't think I would have come back. -I ended up getting my alterations at a tailor down the street from EBTG called "And Sew On". I had already heard about Ranj at And Sew On but I went to see her because I found another Bride on Instagram who had bought my exact same dress and I asked her about her alterations. She said she went to Ranj at And Sew On. I am so glad I did too. She was reasonable and she explained to me all these things about how to hang my dress on a hanger and how to zip up the dress bag. I was incredulous that NO ONE at EBTG explained any of this to me. Ranj told me that you NEVER hang a wedding dress by the straps because it can damage the dress and you must put your hand inside the bag and guide the zipper up so it doesn't snag on the dress and rip it. This information seems critical for customers/brides to know. As soon as I learned this I was seriously pissed. How difficult is it to take 10 minutes to go over these things before the bride leaves the store with the dress???? You could even make a printout with instructions to give Brides about how to handle their dresses. I mean who the F**k knows this if they aren't a bridal consultant or a tailor. Just thinking about this again makes me so angry and it is such a simple thing. By the way - I got my dress back with the alterations already and they are perfect! Ranj is a star. She is sweet and gives you all the time in the world and her prices are great. I can't recommend her enough. -Their tailor did not really impress me even though I didn't use her for my alterations. I remember having a question about alterations when I was trying on my dress and she had like 1 second for me and my questions. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know what it is about bridal in shop tailors but the one at David's made me feel the exact same way too. Anyway I have read some reviews on here and I really think I dodged a bullet. read more

Although I did not purchase my grad dress here, this store was one of my favorites. The prices were good, the dresses were great and the staff went above and beyond to make everyone look and feel great. Due to my dislike of dresses, I only tried on a few but the ladies working there were very helpful and didn't want me to buy just any dress. It had to be one that I would be comfortable and confident in for the entirety of my graduation. The dress arrived on time as promised and had my dress altered by the on site seamstress. I had gone dress shopping alittle late in the game so I didn't want to deal with shopping around for another seamstress as the wedding date was fast approaching. My dress was a very simple $800 size 4 Mori Lee dress, no fancy beading or nothing, and I paid over $500 for alterations and a bustle. I am not sure what the going rate is as I didn't shop around, but it sounds pretty steep. I would highly recommend you get a few qoutes before settling on a seamstress if you have time. read more

Pros: Found THE dress and got tons of compliments on it. Price was okay (spent about $2600 before alterations) Alternation price was reasonable (20% of what I was expecting) Store associates were friendly Clean store No pressure from staff Big and nicely lit changing rooms Cons: Staff is disorganized (my main dissatisfaction, read story below) I picked and ordered my wedding dress about 13 months before the wedding. The dress selection process was amazing, the girls were helpful and I felt like a princess. I chose a Sophia Tolli ball gown style wedding dress with a beaded/embellished bodice. It was the perfect wedding dress.The seamstress was amazing, she made me feel so relaxed and welcomed. Up until this point, it was a full 5 star experience. Fast forward, I was asked when I could pick up the dress and I said the weekend before the wedding (September 30th). I asked when would be a good time and the response I got from the ladies at the store was that since I wasn't going to be trying on the dress, any time from 3pm - 6 pm would be okay. Two of my bridesmaids were also present. We all wrote this down in our agendas and set it in our calendars right away. Saturday, September 30th came and I started to make my way to the store from Downtown Vancouver. As I was inputting the address into the GPS, I was notified that the store would possibly be closed by the time I arrived. I thought it was strange, because my estimated time of arrival was around 5pm. Worried, I called the store and asked. I was informed that the store would close at 5pm. I was a bit frustrated with the store as it is about an hour's drive and the weekend before a wedding is always busy. I let that go, as we all make mistakes. I asked the store if I could pick up the dress the next day. The associate on the phone told me it would not be a problem. Sunday got really busy and I sent my now husband to pick up the dress. The store was apparently surprised and told him we were supposed to pick it up on October 3rd. Second error. I had never heard of this date and none of my bridesmaids did either. I wasn't happy about it, but my husband said to let it go since they gave him the dress anyway. About 1.5 hours before I had to walk down the aisle, my bridesmaids were helping me with the dress. As I was stepping into the dress, my bridesmaids noticed the last layer of my wedding dress was still pinned and it was not hemmed. I broke down. I spent months, planning for the wedding and event of my life. We also spent a lot of money on the wedding. This was something that I didn't think was possible. I called the store on the way to the wedding venue and the associate offered her sincerest apologies and offered me advice on last-minute fixes. I appreciated it even though it wasn't something I could attempt with the time constraint. I do understand this on some levels as there are many layers to my dress, but I thought at the very least the store would check the dress before giving to customers. I've been told by a lot of people that most stores would steam the dresses as well, I'm not sure if this was done. I am upset by the store's seemingly lack of organization at my expense. The seamstress was amazing and did everything she could to make it up to me, but I can't say the same for the store. read more

The staff here is amazing! I had a pretty bad experience at the bridal shop down the street I literally almost gave up trying to find my dress. I'm so glad I made the decision to trek down to Langley again for this cute little quaint bridal shop. I think Angele helped me (can't fully remember her name) but she was amazing. She paid attention to detail and even after selecting 5 dresses to try on, once she realized I wanted colour in my dress she brought other options for me in a similar colour and cut. These ladies truly know how to make a bride feel like a bride without any pressure. My consultant showed me changes they can make whether I wanted to add straps to a dress or not, brought different veils to go with every different style of dress. I was so amazed. Again I'm so glad I picked EBTG for my dress - you ladies are amazing! I will definitely be recommending this place to other gals that are getting married! read more

Worst experience of our collective lives. My sister-in-law bought her dress here and everything was fine until she went for alterations. The seamstress was so rude we thought we were on hidden camera. The dress was too short, and she told us it was the bride's fault for ordering that length (don't the staff evaluate this when the bride is wearing the sample gown?) and she would have to buy different shoes. They scheduled us 15 minutes before closing, and at 7, the seamstress had the audacity to tell us the staff wanted to go home and we should think about leaving. When we asked why we were scheduled so close to the closing time she told us it usually didn't take this long. Needless to say we took the dress unaltered and left. My mother phoned the store the next day to speak to the owner about our experience (my Mother bought the dress) and the owner was about as caustic and rude as the seamstress! She was flippant, condescending and told my Mother that if the bride wanted to talk to her about it, then she could phone herself, but they would not be helping with the dress unless it was through paid alterations because the bride is a 'tall girl, and she should know to watch her hemlines.' I think we were more disgusted by that experience than the one in the store. The wedding party includes myself and four other engaged women, all of whom will NEVER be setting foot in that store again...and I make sure to tell everyone who asks me just what kind of experience we had. It's so sad too because the initial consultant was actually quite lovely. Everything after was absolutely foul and ruined the whole experience for us. The bridal shop we took the dress to be altered was lovely...I'll take my business there. read more

Disrespectful, unprofessional staff who are nothing but money grabbers, pushing and pushing you to get your dress altered in store. Some of the most terrible service I have ever experienced in my life. Not only did my dress arrive four months later than promised it was not true to the size I tried during purchase. The only good part of this whole fiasco was that they discounted my dress a tad. Let's just say I WILL NEVER RETURN TO EVERYTHING BUT THE GROOM PERIOD. read more

I went to this store with my cousin who is the bride and her 2 other bridesmaids, we were pushing it as we left it real close so we could just get these dresses made in time, we was looking for a dark grey/ charcoal dress. We tried dresses on and finally found a dress we all liked. We chose what said was a new colour and my cousin had to pay a extra $30 per dress because this was a new colour. Anyway 3 WEEKS later they called my cousin and said they don't do the dress in the dark grey so she will have to go and choose and new dress or colour. These people knew we had a time line so knew we couldn't choose to go anywhere else, then 2 of us bridesmaids live outta town/country so we couldn't go back trying dresses again, so she chose a different colour. I went and picked my dress up and it didn't fit in the bust. It looked really bad. Now the dress I tried on in the store was a perfect fit and didn't need clipping and they sent for the exact size as that, this one sat 11/2 inches away from my boob in a weird pointed shape. I am the one who lives out of the country, so I went and told them and basically they told me they wanted $30 to put a stitch in it. I told them I shouldn't have to pay to get something put right that should've been right in the first place. Then because of the time I said if I left it with them because of the time line I'm on and I live out if the country I would then need them to hem it. For the hemming they wanted to charge me $80. So with the stitch and hemming alterations they wanted altogether $110, the dress cost me $130. I said i had a lady who was going to hem my dress for $40 to were this young arrogant girl told me " well maybe she can do your stitch for you too. I have never met such a rude person. When we was buying the dresses they we as all over us, being really friendly and nice, yet the minute we started having problems they just said you pay this or go elsewhere. I took my dress and left the shop because even if I end up paying $110 elsewhere to get my dress altered, there was NO WAY I was putting that money back in their hand. I wouldn't recommend this awful place to anyone. This was supposed to be a fun time for us all and it's just been one big stress. read more

Would not recommend this shop! Went here today with an appointment, they leave you to figure out what you want to try on. No assistance in finding different dress shapes. Workers standing around talking no customer service. Also they made my friend feel aweful leaving in tears as they were rude about the dresses she was "allowed" to try on. read more

All the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a misunderstanding with my order, they handled the issue with great professionalism and did their best to correct it. They have a great selection of dresses and I had no trouble finding the perfect dress. read more

I am so impressed with Everything But the Groom! I have had the most fantastic experience with them. I bought my wedding dress here, came back to look at bridesmaid dresses (didn't find what we were looking for, though), and am soon getting my wedding dress fitted. Every time I visit or phone Everything but the Groom, I am treated like a VIP and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I went to a lot of shops to look for bridesmaid dresses too, and this store is always the one that tops the rest for service! One downside I must mention is that when I went shopping for my wedding gown, the sales assistant, Nicoletta, brought out the dress I ended up buying last. My mom and I had to ask for it about 3 times before they brought it out..we are quite sure she saved it for last because it was actually the cheapest. However, that really did not dampen my overall amazing experience here! I also bought my veil here. It was easy to shop without pressure, and very patient. I found my dream dress here, about a month after I was engaged. I LOVE my dress! The seamstress was nothing short of spectacular, she took my size 24 dress to a 16 and gave me a J-Lo booty to boot! I wish I could post a picture of how beautiful it is!!! Unfortunately, I did have an unforeseen complication with the dress that the company had assured me had never happened before... never ever! Everything But The Groom compensated me 100% and I am a happy customer! I recommend them to everyone - they have the most beautiful, and up to date grad and wedding dresses. Everything from their garters to veils are beautiful and I will cherish my dress forever! We are renewing our vows, and I cant wait to wear my dress again - I am pregnant with a baby girl, so I will have a little flower girl there too and will be buying her dress from Everything but the groom when the times comes! This experience was amazing! My friends and I were bridesmaid dress shopping for our girlfriend's wedding, and after coming off a not-so-hot experience with a dress wholesaler in Langley, we were just checking out the other stores nearby. We strolled into EBTG and were instantly welcomed. We were told they were full in the fitting rooms right now, but we could look around in the meantime and they'd see what they could do. Not only did they find us a room (which was roomy and beautiful), they said we had almost an hour to try on dresses... which is what they got us for squeezing us in! It was wonderful. Both consultants were lovely and helpful. We all found our dresses there, and the girl that took our measurements was a doll! Great experience, and would really recommend buying there! Not sure about alterations, as haven't had those done yet, but it would take a lot to damper this experience! read more
