Coconut ice w chocolate, yummy, cookies were nasty and gritty
    Terri M.

It cost $9.83 for the soft serve and scoop that used to be $5. The menu CHANGED it appears that they no longer have the sorbet, that they have ice cream. I asked for a small the sauce serve with a tiny scoop of raspberry on top. It ended up being $9.83 I said wow why is it so much and he said it's considered two scoops. I said oh I looked on the yelp page and I guess things have changed big time. I compared the old menu to the new one and the pictures and they would give you two small scoops of the moon ice and the soft serve for about five bucks. I didn't see Moon ice when I went, just ice cream so they definitely change their ways. Sad about this but I won't be back. Also... They do not take American legal tender. I handed him a $20 bill and he said oh we are cashless. I said it's kind of ridiculous how you don't take a legal tender in America. Maybe they should post it on their door and in the store. The chocolate soft serve is very good but the raspberry ice cream was extremely sour

Friday afternoon and no wait. Friendly service. Ask for samples. Ended up getting 2 with pineapple mango-vanilla-guava. It's was super yummy and will for sure be back! Not too sweet. It's Italian ice and soft serve. Tastes like a dole whip.

We stopped by Moon scoops and this place is good! When I saw the huge chocolate chip cookie, I had to try it. For $3.75, this cookie was soft and delicious. My husband got a Reeses milkshake, and it was very tasty. You can really taste the chocolate and peanut butter. I also got a small serving of the ice cream. I was surprised that a small cup gets you 3 scoops! I decided to go with lime, pineapple mango, and strawberry. These flavor were all really good. Overall, my family loves Moon scoops. We noticed there is usually only 1 worker, so customers should be patient when there is a long line.

This ice cream shop is a total gem! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's super cute inside and very well kept and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The customer service was great! Now let's talk about the ice cream...there's so many choices to choose from, my husband chose coffee ice cream and since I couldn't make up my mind on an ice cream flavor, I chose to go with a strawberry milk shake. My kids chose a chocolate milkshake and a cookies and cream ice cream. Everything was delicious! It can get busy at times but it's totally worth the wait! Overall great experience!

What a cute little spot! Two great photo op spots inside. Tons of dairy free options for my dairy-free kiddo and everything was tasty. Each size moon ice comes with 3 flavors so even a small gets to try different flavors. The smaller sizes of the moon ice go a long way so we were perfectly satisfied with mediums. The soft serve comes in an oatmilk option which I love for my son. We will have to try oat based next time, but my husband liked the regular vanilla soft serve. They were out of some flavors of moon ice but I definitely want to try some of those next time. Our first two visits we had Mango pineapple, coconut, pear, kool-aid, mojito, cotton candy, root beer, a pink lemonade, and the soft serve vanilla. We also have tried the chocolate chip cookie (a little crumbly and bland sadly but I heard that it may be gluten free which would explain the texture of that is accurate) and the brownie cookie. Were loved everything but the chocolate chip cookie and the root beer flavor when not mixed with soft serve or coconut. Next time I will ask for samples of new flavors before committing because the flavors are strong so you definitely want to get ones you enjoy. The flavors have something for everyone. The staff is friendly and accommodating and happy to give samples if you are on the fence. I want to try their affogatto next time too! My only real complaint is the spoons they gave out. On our first visit they were black plastic and my son's broke because it was so brittle. On the second visit they were white plastic and the shape of the spoon scraped your mouth on the underside sides. I never realized how important the shape and flexibility of a spoon was for frozen treats, but it was definitely noticeable.

I stopped by for a Reese's milkshake, and while it was delicious, it was incredibly rich--and priced at $12! Parking was pretty easy, only one person working and there were a few people ahead of me so was a little wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is cool and smelled of freshly baked waffle cones.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the milkshake, the cup was lined with peanut butter and chocolate sauce, filled with a creamy ice cream blend, and packed with chopped Reese's cups. However, the regular straws they provide aren't wide enough, so they kept getting clogged with the chunks. I'd visit again, but next time, I'll probably try one of the many tempting ice cream flavors instead.

This dessert shop is a real treat! We don't see too many places that serve just Italian ice in the surrounding Bay Area cities, so it's been in my Yelp bookmarks for quite some time. They have at least 20 Italian ice flavors ranging from tart fruity flavors to very American flavors like cotton candy. All of the Italian ice flavors are dairy free, too. Since it was our first time, fiancé and I got the "I Can't Decide" sampler which includes 6 scoops of Italian ice and 1 choice of soft serve. They are generous with samples of the ice, but I didn't ask about sampling the soft serve. -Wild blueberry lemonade: I assumed this would be very tart from the lemonade, but it was tasty and and I hardly noticed the lemon. There's blueberries scattered throughout too so it was a nice burst of fruit. -Orange Twist: Recommended by the gentleman at Moonscoops. It was like a frozen orange with lots of orange zest. -Oat Mint Oreo: We don't drink oat milk so didn't know how we'd feel about the flavor, but it was actually not bad. Not my favorite, but if you like mint and Oreo this would be a good one. -Guava: My favorite of the ones we chose! It was a refreshing flavor and didn't taste artificial. -Apple pie: This caught my eye because I would have never thought it would be an Italian ice flavor. It was a nice surprise with all of the cinnamon and spices as well as the bits of apple. Pair this with the vanilla soft serve and you're good to go. -Coffee: I sampled this flavor, but didn't end up choosing it because it was a little on the chunky icy side and didn't wow me. But if you love coffee, get this and the vanilla soft serve for a yummy coffee iced dessert. -Vanilla soft serve: Oh my, they have one of the best soft serves I've ever had. Perfectly sweetened and texture was just right. Not like the soft serves from fast food chains where it's very vanilla heavy. The best! I'd definitely come back here to see what other flavors they offer or even just stop in for their soft serve! Ambiance is very quaint and clean. The staff was friendly and sparked up a conversation with all the customers.

Paid 17 for two small ice cream scoops, which honestly it's okay considering everything is super high. What really didn't sit well with me was their service. The employees were rude and didn't couldn't explain how long until the hot chocolate was really. They just said,"it's not ready" and continued being rude. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nicely decorated though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

FLAVOR (4/5): I was able to sample a lot of moon ice cream flavors and liked the guava one a lot! I paired it with the strawberry soft serve in a cone and it was a great pairing! I didn't care for the waffle cone, it was too dry and sweet. So definitely stick with a cup option here. However my friend did not like the banana soft serve. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): The interior is super cute, the flavors they have are great and a lot of photo opportunities inside the store! SERVICE (5/5): The workers there were really nice and patient with us when trying to understand the menu and pick out flavors! The guy worker even gave my dog a small whipped cream cup which made her day! TAKEAWAYS: Try the guava moon ice with strawberry soft serve in a cup. Stay away from waffle cones and banana soft serve. I wish they let us sample the soft serve flavors like how we can with moon ice!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so cute. The neon lights, floral wall and all's the bright colors make my heart happy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a pretty extensive menu but I always order the matcha (green tea) soft serve in a cup. I like that it's not too sweet. Will run ya about $5 before tax and tip. They give you a nice portion too. I would stay away from any of the baked goods. They're stale. Overall, happy we have something like this in marina!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a really cute little shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good. They let you try the flavors before you order. We got two double troubles, one with cookies and cream for both scoops of moon ice (fresh handmade Italian ice) and vanilla (artisanal organic soft serve ice cream) and the other with coconut and blue raspberry moon ice and vanilla soft serve. Both were delicious. The moon ice and soft serve complement each other very well. The servings are HUGE. It would be nice to go back and try different flavor combinations!

What an absolute TREAT!!! I stopped in with friends and was pleasantly surprised by all of the Italian ice flavor options. It's the perfect snack for a really hot day. I opted for fruity flavors with vanilla soft serve (4/5) while my friend went with apple pie & vanilla soft serve (4.5/5). Excited to come back and try the Cookie smash ice cream sandwich. * vegan & gluten free options

    Super Cookie Sundae
    Annie D.

I was excited to try this place but was quite disappointed. I ordered the Super Cookie Sundae with the oat milk swirl soft serve for $12 (?!) and it was not worth it at all. The soft serve was very basic, almost like something you find in a Chinese buffet, and the cookie was very hard and dry which made it extremely difficult to eat. Just adding the chocolate sauce cost an additional $0.50 more because the "free toppings" were just four types of different colored sprinkles.

Small double trouble. Strawberry Moon Ice (sorbet/italian ice) and chocolate soft serve.

The cherry croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky, with the acidity of the cherry adding just the right kick to this breakfast pastry. I was initially hesitant on getting the clam chowder at a bakery and was thinking of getting it at a seafood restaurant on Cannery Row, but the reviews were glowing and the price was reasonable. I'm glad I took a chance on it, because the bowl was chockful with clams, potatoes, celery, and a briny creamy seafood broth base. The ambiance in this bakery is great- there's a beautiful wall mural on the back wall of this bakery and lots of inside seating. Don't miss out on this spot!

I've had many excellent versions over the years, and this one missed the mark. It seemed overbaked, lacked the rich buttery flavor that makes a kouign-amann so special, and simply wasn't enjoyable. Considering the price, I was disappointed enough to return it. Thinking I couldn't go wrong with a croissant, I then ordered the almond croissant. It was enormous--easily large enough for two people--but size couldn't make up for the quality. The top layer had some flakiness and a hint of buttery flavor, but the interior was dense and heavy. Both pastries also had damp, wet bottoms, which made me wonder if they were not cooled properly after baking and ended up steaming from their own heat. The almond croissant was filled with far too much filling. Instead of complementing the pastry, it overwhelmed it. The filling was excessively sweet and heavy, and I ended up throwing away about three-quarters of the croissant. The only standout feature was the fresh sliced almonds on top. At $8.95, this was the most expensive almond croissant I've ever purchased. Even by Monterey-area standards, the pricing felt very high. For those prices, I expected pastries with better texture, balance, and execution. Unfortunately, my experience did not justify the cost. The prices are not posted!!!
