Got a tattoo here a couple months ago. I refrained from writing a review until it was fully healed. I came in and wanted a 1inx1in heart on my wrist. It was supposed to be my aunts handwriting and I had a card for the artist to copy and do, thinking it wouldn't be a difficult task I didn't think I needed to do a consultation or an appointment. I walked in and I immediately should have turned around when I realized the tattoo artist was high. He had just came inside after smoking a joint with his friend/someone outside. He said the heart shouldn't be difficult and he could do it. Immediately after I knew it wasn't done right. This wasn't my first tattoo and my wrist was bleeding quite a bit. After letting it heal and now a couple months down the road, the only bled and the tattoo lines are thick, raised, and not at all what the picture looked like. Since, I have attempted to get flowers added around the heart to help blend it in (NOT at this tattoo place), and my new artist told me he went WAY too deep and whomever did it should not be doing tattoos. I am highly disappointed and now it is on my body for forever. I can't help but to wonder if he wasn't under the influence if he would have done a better job. I got two piercings from Mooney ink about a month ago. I got my septum pierced and my tongue pierced. The tongue piercing was completely off centered and crooked. I don't know how someone who's supposed to know what they're doing could completely miss the middle of a persons tongue. About a week later, my nose had rejected the piercing, which is way too big of a gauge to start with, and crooked, and I had to take my tongue piercing out as well because of how uncentered it was. It was embarrassing. I was so excited to get these piercings done that I didn't take a long enough look at them before leaving the shop. I didn't notice how crooked they both were until I got to my car. I paid $180 for both these piercings to be done. Complete rip-off for trash work. I ended up contacting the guy who gave me the piercings, and told him how crooked the tongue piercing was. I sent him photos for proof, and he said that I could come in and get it re-pierced for free. So, I let my tongue heal up, and then I came in for the re-piercing. He did fine the second time (because he actually took the time to find the center of my tongue), but the first time was just completely unacceptable. Not only that, but he told me an extremely short amount of time that it would take for both piercings to heal. He told me that my septum would be healed in about two weeks, and after that, I could change it. A septum should not be changed in two weeks. I'm convinced that this person doesn't even know what he's talking about. OH! And one more thing. There's a reason it always smells like weed around that shop. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the workers get high during their breaks at work. I did not get a tattoo from here, so I cannot rate their tattooing, but I can definitely rate their piercing, and I can say do not go to this place if you want a successful and good looking piercing. I had went into Mooney Ink to get my septum done, and the septum was completely in the wrong place. I bled alot, and was told that the piercer had hit the "sweet spot". I even had to ask the piercer what kind of after care and healing time, because it didn't seem like he was going to tell me. The before photos clearly show how bad the piercing was placed. The piercing began to get infected with crust, a little bit of swelling, and redness. I finally decided to go to Electric Bodymod Piercings and immediately felt better. The staff was extremely welcoming, covid-19 precautions were fantastic, and clean. Unfortunately I do not remember my piercer at EBMP but my time spent with her was comforting. I was told that my piercing from Mooney Ink was not even the correct size, most definitely in the wrong place, and that my nose was going to reject the piercing if I did not take it out. I was given three choices for the kind of septum I'd like (how fun!). My piercer had made the time to make sure my piercing was going to be in the correct place which was absolutely wonderful seeing that my piercer at Mooney Ink didn't even take a minute to make sure it was going to be in the correct place. After my piercing had been placed, I was immediately given information on healing time, aftercare, and the size of my piercing for future references! I was given a paper with all of the information I was toldc with my size written down and given aftercare spray. They are super clean and really nice but they don't put the septum in the correct spot :( it's too low it was placed in my cartilage part of my nose instead of the sweet spot, didn't feel to find my sweet spot either,they also didn't ask me about the jewelry there's no way to hide this for work. I should have spoken up as soon as I seen that he didn't shave the area that was getting tattooed. Then he never gave me anything to cover my tattoo after everything was done. My tattoo now half way healed is very blotchy and already looks like it needs a touch up even though I got it a week ago. In the end original artist canceled appointments 3 times. When i finaly got a actual time set. It was by another artist. I had to bring my own print cause they dont have a printer. They drew it up and i was tatted. It came out looking nothing like it was drawn. Anybody looking for a fresh tattoo. Avoid this place. They bite off more then they could chew. Artist Sam did the following work. For 250$ i had to ask another artist to clean it up. It looks like he did it with guitar string. He should stick to fixing cars. Customer service proffesional. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT A CORRECTLY PLACED SEPTUM PIERCING If I could put 0 stars I would. First off my septum piercing if VERY LOW and basically hanging from the cartilage under my nose...when the substitute piercer for William that he said when he is gone the substitute piercer is the piercer to fill in for him, clamped my septum and I told him I felt like he placed it on my cartilage right...before he pierced it, he told me "You're supposed to pierce the cartilage for septum piercings." Which is completely not true, and even I know that isn't true and I'm not a piercer...that's extremely unprofessional. When William came back to the shop and I asked him/showed him if my septum piercing was crooked or too far low down he said "Yea it's crooked but you should've waited till I got here!" that's unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate.You didn't fix my septum problem and you said you would repierce it for me the day before yesterday, how was I supposed to know you were coming back and that you were even in the shop on the day I got it pierced? I looked at all of the septum reviews AND PHOTOS on here and every single septum is pierced on the cartilage and way to low pierced almost on the edge of the cartilage below your nose.... The customer service is absolutely terrible, and the piercer who pierced me was a skinny short bald white guy with tattoos...my sister came with me to the back to be there to comfort me for the piercing and she even asked him if he was new because every time she's been to the shop she's never seen him before...makes a lot of sense because he said he's only been there for a month. Before I even got the piercing done when I was paying at the counter in the front, I asked if he could pierce me with a barbell and he said they didn't have any and that he only had a curved belly button looking straight bar for my SEPTUM...the 2 balls he put in on the end of the bar were 2 different sizes and completely different type of balls...and when I showed William the piercing I got when he came back he laughed and said "Who pierced that??" and looked confused and that is embarrassing. I told William it was his substitute piercer who was standing next to him and he asked him in front of me "Why didn't you put a normal barbell in her septum that we have?" like seriously? I went into the shop to get new tops for my dermal anchors. The second I walked into the shop I was surprised to smell a very strong odor of cigarettes, and whoever was on duty came in from the back outside. I told him what I needed and he handed me the display with all of the dermal anchors attached to it. I picked out 2, and he not only screwed them right off of the display but he handed them to me and told me that they didn't have any bags to put them in!! Like it's no big deal, he told me to just use some rubbing alcohol, but that whole situation is unprofessional and unsanitary. The dermals were $10 each or 2 for $15 so naturally I got 2, I asked him how much and with attitude he told me $15, like I was stupid. I said sorry, I thought there would be tax or something. He said that he doesn't have time to balance books and all of that "****". I was just like wow.... not coming here again. I would rather pay a little more for a tattoo or piercing and go somewhere where they treat the art with a little bit of integrity. These kinds of places are why I simply don't understand why the health department/state board doesn't check up on tattoo shops. They check on hair salons who reuse combs, nail files and bowls for mixing hair color but they don't check up in tattoo shops' autoclave records to make sure that their tools are sterilized up to code? Not only did this shop not follow COVID-19 precautions as no one was wearing a mask but if you're planning on getting a nose piercing DO NOT come here! The piercer took all of 10 seconds to do my septum not checking to see if it was in the right spot. He made the piercing way too low and now i have to pay to get it re-pierced somewhere else. I asked him about how low it was and he told me it was because of my nose shape and that he had hit the "sweet spot" for my nose (that seems to be a trend in these reviews). He said he had being piercing for a long time and he knows what he's doing. Clearly he needs to practice his craft a little more. I would NEVER go here for a piercing! Not only is the jewelry cheap gaudy junk the actual septum piercing came out crooked for 80$ btw RIPOFF! I went and got my own jewelry that they wanted to charge me to sterilize another 20$ then he acted like he would pay out of pocket to sterilize my jewelry in his own machine to be nice for messing up. The new piercing is straight mostly but its extremely low on my nose I couldn't flip it up if I wanted to. The whole experience was horrid and a complete joke! This place is TRASH! DONT GET PIERCINGS DONE HERE: Let me start off by saying GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Jess the piercer was absolutely nice!! Unfortunately whenever I walked in this past Saturday to get a nose piercing done they didn't have the correct initial stud for the ring and the piercer ended up using one "that she usually doesn't use" this was my second nose ring and I gave the stud a benefit of the doubt that it might work. WRONG. This morning I woke up with the ring missing. I tried to get in contact with the piercer and I even talked to the shop to get some form of compensation and they gave me the run around that I had to contact the piercer?? Shouldn't the shop be equally responsible? She did work at your shop. Anyways I didn't get any compensation whatsoever and lost out on $40 cause the initial ring wasn't the right size. I decided to go to the best piercing shop I have ever gone. If you ever thinking about getting a piercing and don't mind paying a bit more for better quality go to Electric Bodymod Piercings on Court st. Richard the owner of Mooney ink donated a gift certificate for $200 it was in an auction I paid $135 for this gift certificate and now he won't honor it from day one he is gave me the run-around today I was supposed to go in at 12 for an appointment he wasn't even there he passed me on to another artist that said come back at 3 and I'll do your tattoo then when I got there at 3 he said oh I'll call you I don't have time right now we can set up another time no I'm done with the games basically they're just giving me the run-around because they don't want to do my tattoo don't honor a tattoo for $200 if you're not going to do it. So I go in and I asked if I can get a nose piercing the shop was sooo hot it was ridiculous. Went here for Friday the 13th tattoo specials and worst experience ever all the artists are rude and stuck up.Finally ,I get called for my tattoo and the guy free hands the drawing on my arm ,then tattoos it without even asking if it looks okay or not ,then he doesn't even completely clean my arm before tattooing, only wearing one glove to tattoo me. Honestly disgusting, I'm 20 but they didn't even ask to look at I.D ,brother and law didn't get asked for one either and he's 18. So this business is just a bunch of people trying to get quick easy money from people who don't know any better . I get it $13 dollar tattoos what a waste of time but if you love what you do then you shouldn't be acting like an asshole for doing something you love, not everyone gets to do their Dream. read more

Years ago I went here and I am so thankful for the help the piercer gave me. The previous person who pierced me at a different place of business made a huge mistake. They gave me too short of a piece of jewelry for my belly button. I was in immense pain and the girl was so kind to me! She took out the cheap too short piece of jewelry and put a retainer in. Eternally grateful! I forgot to leave a review and forgot her name. This was in 2014 but it if you are still there thank you so much!! She helped me on two occasions because the second time I had a piercing out of town the person gave me too short of a piece of body jewelry. Unsure why this kept happening‍‍‍. It made it painful because both instances meant it was too tight and pressure was put on that part of my body. It was incredibly painful having to remove and put retainers in. I assume no matter what it would be painful as it had to be changed both times within 48 hours of intially being pierced. read more

So I go in, shop appears clean and well-kept. Younger guy with super-stretched ears (00 gauge maybe?) greets me. They were nice dudes and seemed eager to take care of my tattoo request (very simple cover-up). Also quoted me a VERY good price, which I felt was very respectable. Then, a girl walks in and asks the gentleman if he was the one who did her 'Fantastic 4' tattoo? Why? She proceeds to state: "Oh because I got a STAPH infection." Later, the guy says "I can't do your tattoo right now." Despite having agreed to complete mine after another client. Now I know all too well about infections, bacteria and what not, I've been in healthcare x10+ years. I find this girl'a case of staph infection questionable. Perhaps it was an after care issue on her fault? Then again, I've ran COUNTLESS EMS medical aide calls with "fresh" tattoos (albeit covered and well cared for) and I've never had an infection as a result. Given my questionable reservations about cleanliness & the guy's flaking, I won't get any work there. On a final note, I will give them props for being nice dudes and they do have good portfolios and good artwork. Just can't get over the staph issue. Again - I've been exposed to billions of bacterium, with fresh tattoos, over 40% of my body and I've NEVER had an infection... Caveat emptor. read more

I've done both my nose piercing and nipple piercings with Rosalie. Super good heeling, haven't had any problems with either of my piercings. I've always felt with nose bumps due to the piercings, and i decided to give it a 3rd try. When I went to Rosalie I did not get the nose bump! Rosalie herself goes out of her way to help you through the heeling process and checks up! (To me she did) I was a little embarrassed to get my nipple piercings but she makes you feel comfortable and does not make it awkward. 10/10 will recommend her.
