My first experience with a nice clean open shop, good music and good vibes will keep my interest peaked but the artwork will make me a forever patron! worst tattoo shop in Visalia. As I read the reviews , I am not al9ne. Steve ripped me off, I scheduled a meeting at 2 pm to go over artwork. He was a no show... Walked in here today and had a great experience. Mossy was finishing up a tattoo with another client and said he would be with me in a minute. The piercer walked me through everything that was going to happen, taught me the correct cleaning methods and the dos and fonts when you have this type of piercing. I got my septum pierced by Jared on 8/29/16. I called first and he was very patient and polite as I asked several questions. He did not have the type of jewelry I wanted in stock, but told me if I purchased it, be would sterilize it before doing my piecing. He was very helpful in explaining the type and size of jewelry to buy. I was able to find the jewelry at the kiosk inside of the Visalia Mall and took it to him for sterilization. I returned later in the day to get my piercing and I was super nervous as I seen that Jared was not going to use clamps. I watched many videos of septum piercings on YouTube and expressed my concerns, but Jared stated that he does not use clamps for the septum piercing as he is able to pierce straight without clamps. Jared was right! My piercing came out straight and the pain I would rate 1/10. This has been the best piercing experience by far and Jared takes the time to explain the process and what to expect. I definitely recommend going to Sacred Tiki and having Jared take care of your piercing needs! read more

My experience at Sacred Tiki was interesting to say the least. I walked in to be greeted by someone who didn't even bother to make eye contact with me even though they were not tattooing someone. I told him what I wanted, he gave me a price range and we arranged an appointment. Next week I come into my appointment and the man who tattooed me, who I choose to keep unnamed, changed part of my tattoo design because the lines were "too close together" and took out some of the detail of the tie in the tattoo I got. He finished in about an hour and it looked fine from what I could tell. Placement was a little off and I have to rotate my arm a bit to make it completely straight. Once the tattoo was healed I noticed how terrible the line work was. There was not a single straight line, wonky circles, and even lines that did not meet. The yellow wasn't even fully punched in and it was blotchy. I do NOT recommend Sacred Tiki for a meaningful or detailed tattoo because they obviously aren't interested in giving someone a lifelong piece of beautiful art read more

Three stars for overall good service; shop area appeared to be well-kept, clean and inviting. Several of the artists have outstanding portfolios, capable of producing excellent work. Based on the pricing, I'd definitely be a return customer. Granted the anecdote has always been: "A cheap tattoo ain't good, a good tattoo ain't cheap". I believe this shop is firmly in the middle ground. They do not quote astronomical, ego-driven, price-gouging, no BS. Walked into sacred tiki tattoo. Brian helped me within a minute of walking in. I had some ideas on a tat that I wanted and asked for his opinion. He gave me great advice. He drew out the piece (it was awesome!) Gave me an estimate of time it would take for the work to be done and a dollar amount. I was in the shop the following morning at 11:30, I was out by 5, the pieces on both my arms looked fantastic. Everybody at the shop was awesome, they have a great time doing their craft. Got pierced here with two of my friends while they had their specials going in March right before the whole pandemic started and I'm so thankful because not only did Jared kill it with my Daith, he did a fantastic job on my friends first piercing ever(her lobes), and my other friends septum! My cousin and I came here for my nose pierced and her septum pierced. Jared was so rude speaking to us, when I asked him if I can use my own jewelry he said no which was fine. My cousin got her nose septum pierced and it was clearly left crooked. He didn't even give her the right jewelry, It was not a piece of septum jewelry! She took it out and got it re-pierced somewhere else. When we called later to tell them how our experience was he said that he didn't have any jewelry to even pierce my nose with? Went in the day of the downtown car show with my friend to get a quote in regards to a cover up. My friend wanted to be tattooed by Miss Mae. We went upstairs to her area where she was working on a client. My friend proceeded to ask some questions and get info. I was immediately turned off by her curt and rude personality. I made a complementary comment on what she was working on and she was very snide in her response. My friend was hoping to get her work done in a certain time frame which Miss Mae made very clear she could not accommodate. Understandable enough. However... She was unpleasant, condescending and I felt very uncomfortable around her. She just rubbed me the wrong way I guess.I was disappointed- Considering she is one of the few female tattoo artists in the area I was hopeful she and I could work out a session as well but I quickly changed my mind after meeting her. Went in today with my friend who is disabled, she has little function in her arms so her arms are skinny. She wanted a script and heart on her wrist and she wanted it a little smaller than the example she brought in, they looked at her like she was stupid for asking. Then one of the guys asked another if he could do t and he gave a sarcastic laugh and gave us a look like if we were ridiculous for even thinking about it. Then I wanted a script in a pretty cursive, I showed him the exact font I wanted, he comes back with the most basic cursive and I said no I want it more like this, and showed him again. The guy walked back, annoyed. Like I'm literally showing you what I want, does their tattoo shop not have a variety of fonts available? We left, we weren't going to be looked at like we were idiots for wanting a certain tattoo. THE WORST EVER! So i walked in and spoke with an artist named brain reguading a suicide memorial tattoo that i was going to get the day of his passing i had it drawn and was very specific! paid a 50$ deposit and he sent me off and said add him on IG and send me the info well he never wrote me i constantly was messaging him then he sends me a basic pic missing half of what i specified! I have him redo it and set a time 12pm 7.15.19 so that morning i message him asking pricing again and was left on read againnn and i show up to the scheduled appointment and 2 males are their one is tattooing and i tell them why i am their and they tell me he isnt their he is off today and im like no we been talking about this for weeks im positive he said noon! So i message him AGAIN saying so are u coming today cuz the guys here say your not? He responds within seconds saying today is my day off can we do it tomorrow? KNOWING i had arranged the day off and that was the day of the memorial! it was in the tattoo i had him REDO! Mind u i live 35mins out of town! I was upset and told the male working their that; that was unprofessional asf! He thought i wasnt going to show up because of his 300-500$ price quote and keep my deposit! Nope he gave it back because he had a client! Thats why i give one star cuz he did give my deposit back but since it was a monday all tattoo shops were appointment only and i was unable to get tattooed that day!
